Hooray for crappy topic descriptions!  Anyway, I'm sorry for letting this place slip. To put things simply, my world came down on my head. xD But everything's good now, so I wanna revive the Garden!I have seen a mass email to everyone who's registered to the Garden informing you all of this, so... I wanna get a sort of roll call done, as well as an suggestions you have for this place (anything from functions to marketing). Either way... Welcome back to the Garden!

Glad to be back Rael. I will say that I agree with more diversification for this site. For other ideas you may have to look elsewhere. |

Hey Rag!  What do you think to the new themes? There's now 3 to choose from, including the original. I'm gonna start up a community youTube channel for the Garden as well as everything else, and try to make some cool adverts and stuff.

I prefer this theme (terminal Velocity) over the old one. I have always liked a little more darkness compared to bright and cheery. Though both of the new themes seem way better compared to the old.

The new theme looks great! I think it suits more than the old one, though the old one was kinda...my idea... *hides in a corner* By the way, sorry I just...basically disappeared. I don't know why I do that... |

Well it looks like the new theme doesn't have journals. Maybe the journals are still archived and there just isn't a link to get to them. Would be sad but not the end of the world if I lost mine, but it was the journal of my FFVIII playthrough. Just something I found interesting: I checked zetaboards to see if there were any other Final Fantasy forums, and I found one. This one has been open since 2003 I think: http://s2.zetaboards.com/Final_Fantasy_Forum/index/ What made for an interesting read here is that they had a massive staff conflict 3 weeks ago that resulted in one of the admins erasing the site and demoting the other admins to moderators which made it difficult for any of the staff to enter the admin functions and try to redo anything. They finally managed to get in the admin functions, and were able to rebuild the site, but they were NOT able to recover any of the past material posted on the site, as nothing was archived or the staff member who went postal just did a total dump. The current staff there filed a support ticket but have not been able to get any action from the people at zetaboards to recover their lost material. If you look at it, you will see they have over 1400 members. I'm not sure why I'm mentioning this, except that it would be a competing forum in a sense, but also I guess there are always things to learn from the experiences of other sites, and the other site might be worth a look-see so that this one is offering a different experience perhaps.  Also, I want to mention that I really love this site. I was sorry to stop in and see it had faded out, but that happens, and even on a forum with lots of members, most stop posting after awhile. For my two cents, I would like to see a strong focus on FFXIII and FFXIV going into the future. fftogether mainly focuses on FFXII so that site is going to need to look at the future also and incorporate the new games in order to get more members. Another thing that has worked for us on fftogether is to incorporate live game streaming by the members ustream. Ustream and justintv are really a blast and I watch live game streaming everyday at least 4 hours per day. heheh. Mostly Final Fantasy gaming. At fftogether we have a ustream window and most of the time we fill it with Final Fantasy Radio. I know that tebian, the owner of FFRadio, always welcomes more affiliates and I'm sure would welcome his radio on as many sites as possible. He appreciates his fftogether affiliation, but FFRadio is its own entity and has its own website too. So, having something on the new games and incorporating live streaming would be my two ideas.  Again I love this site and hope to see it grow more, whatever direction it takes!
