Well, firstly I feel bad giving critique about these, especially because I like them... Do you use photoshop to make them? What do you use to make the background? I recommend looking up Splatter Brushes, C4D renders and messing around with Clipping Masks (if you use photoshop). I'd be happy to try and explain what each of them are, but I also recommend looking at Sigtutorials because they have a look of helpful info. It's were I'm learning a lot of stuff lol. As for the characters, I don't know if you did this, but look for Renders of them, as the renders are usually large with very good quality. The blur/smudge you did with Vivi work well, but I also recommend selecting the non-blurred Vivi, then going to Select/Modify/Feather. From here, choose any number between 2 and 5 and click ok. Then, press Ctrl+Shift+I to invert the selection, and press delete two or three times. That'll make the make the character seem to be part of the sig/wallpaper more, rather than just placed on top. ![]() And finally, I don't know if you know this or used it, but in photoshop, above the Layers bit on the right (by default anyway), these a drop down menu that initially shows "normal". Changing it will change the way the seleted layer merges with the layers below it. For example, Linear Dodge will make all colours except for black very transparent and VERY light. I use these a lot. ![]() Those are just some little tips, you don't have to follow them if you don't want. ![]() As I said, I like the sigs and wallpaper, but the characters don't merge well with the background. Just my personal opinion. ![]() |
