And I agree that the animation seems over the top for actual strength of the move. I do, however, like it (oce again, from an aesthetic point of view). I think the Kingdom Hearts version was better. The gunbalde just gets coated in a beam of light about twice its normal length and its attack power increases for a while, until the beam fades away about 30 seconds to a minute later.
