I'm tired I'm bored and I'm depressed to the point of doing something incredibly stupid. Which isn't this.
Goin back to the first rp I did with this group, Zelda. Something we've done an assload of times but it always got a lot of interest and stuck around for a good few weeks.
So just say yes or no to the idea of zelda. I'll try and toss something together.

Onime's RP not going that well, or something? (I honestly haven't been following it, don't mean any malice either) I don't mind joining up on it, I guess, as long as there isn't any silly stuff, like someone playing Link. Then we'd just end up with him winning all the time

 Mover, Shaker, Brute and Breaker.
Master, Tinker, Blaster and Thinker,
Striker, Changer, Trump and Stranger.
Worm: Power Classifications Mover - Powers that allow movement over great distances at a time. Includes flyers, Teleporters and speedsters. Shaker - Powers that affect their surroundings in some way. Can, for example, bend or compress the space in the world or creating forcefields. Brute - Powers that grant extreme durability and/or have above average strength, either through superhuman toughness or an incredibly effective healing factor. Breaker - Powers that "break" the laws of nature for themselves, allowing them to survive in impossible states. For example, when dealing with an Elemental Shapeshifter (being able to breath if they're made of fire) or the minor aspects that allow them to survive the use of their powers (like altering how friction applies to speedsters). Master - Powers that allow them to control others or create minions. Tinker - Powers capable of highly specialized technological/biological creations years ahead of their time: from building laser guns or a hover board to growing chimera-like creatures. Separated into two types: Specialty tinkers have a specific type of thing they build, while method tinkers are unique in how they tinker. Wide-scope method tinkers theoretically can create anything but with a catch, such as the inability to create the same thing perfectly twice or narrow-scopes that are more limited but can create extra effects with what they do have. Blaster - Powers that grant a ranged attack, such as emitting lasers, hard light, or elemental powers. Thinker - Powers that deal with the mind, allowing for instant analysis, efficient information retrieval, or outright precognition abilities. Striker - Possible subgroup of Breakers. The ability to apply an effect at point-blank range, whether it be an elemental punch or healing at a touch. Changer - Powers that allow changing or shifting forms. Effects range from changing parts of their own body to weapons to morphing into a more suitable body for a given situation. Also known as Shifters. Trump - Meta-powers that copy or interfere with other powers, or which give them access to many different powers in some other way. Includes those whose power adapts on the fly, copies other people's powers, granting other people minor powers, and nullifying powers. Stranger - Powers that can be used for stealth purposes, such as invisibility, lacking any notability, or erasing any memories of their existence.

I'd assume there are two most likely reasons for that: people have real life stuff to do or they're pessimistic.

Never understood how work seems to make peoples time limited... I work and yet here I am o.o 12 hours, unstable shifts due to low manpower and other employees not doing their jobs. been sick with 102 degree fever, throat infection, and bronchitis for almost a week. still forced to work through it because no sick leave. spare time spent sleeping in vain attempt to recover energy and heal body.
shut up. will get to it.

I'd rather not have topic inflation, so here's something I've thought up for a RP. Just some points that I wanted to try doing for it... which might be a bit ambitious, really.
- Post-apocalyptic, chaotic world (...because that hasn't been done before)
- Different factions, pretty much dependent on the characters in the RP (I thought up three for the story. Basically sort of a Lawful Evil, Neutral, and Chaotic Good alignments), which lock after the prologue bit.
- Keeping the background of every character a secret! For those times when you want to play a mole for another faction, or have some forth hidden side or something? I dunno.
- Definitely was going to ask everyone for help with worldbuilding, environments, RP combat... "system," stuff like that. All I can think of for combat, specifically, would be... reasonable sci-fi weaponry, (extremely limited) psychokinetic combat, and, of course, modern weaponry. I feel like that'd be the most interesting part, honestly, having people contribute?
- Oh, and taking Onime's idea of "PC pairs." Just to make backstabbing or any plans work between roleplayers.
Yeah, I sort of have a cohesive story idea, too, but it should be flexible enough to figure stuff out, I think? If any of that seems interesting, too much to bite, I-don't-trust-you-to-run-a-RP, etc, let me know. I'd prefer it if I didn't run it solo, too, so... yes.

My boss is my moms boyfriend, and I've been working for close to 6 years. My job isn't all sunshine and roses given how often I've hurt myself, pulled muscles, thrown out my back, crushed various digits, and many cuts. I'm also normally the only one working.

General State of RPs: Characters are free to interact with whoever they wish within the guidelines of their circumstances and personality.
Experimental Objective: Take an original idea, or maybe base one on such series as Soul Eater, Elemental Gelade, Shaman King, Digimon, Fate/X, etc., where Player Characters are split up into two person teams that must work together in order to use their abilities to the fullest. Players should probably be able to choose who they want to partner up with at the beginning, and maybe be able to switch partners if things just aren't working out, but once they've partnered up, they're with their partner for a significant amount of time, even sharing living space in many circumstances. Character Interactions here would stress Quantity over quality, hopefully causing the pairs to really get to know one another. Romance optional.
Basically pair up with another actual roleplayer and plan things out only between the two of you, I'd say. Work character arcs between the two of you, maybe plan something out that brings down one of the three factions that'll be around, stuff like that.

for those of you that are still really concerned about it seeming like no one cares anymore, or that we've lost too many people, i completely understand where you're coming from cause that's how i've felt for a long time. after having this shitty job for a month now, though, i'm grateful to it for giving me a brand new perspective on just what it means to be busy with life.
for those of you who are still closer to my previous situation, though, where it seems like you're the only one still trying to rp or when it feels like no one but you cares about the ideas and things like that, i recommend doing what i did every once in a while. Go to one of those big sites like Roleplayer's Guild or whatever, and just look around. No one knows anyone over there, they don't have tightly knit communities like we do, and 90% of what you will find will be absolutely terrible garbage full of bad writing and lots of mary sues.
but it's a completely open buyer's market--there is always something to choose from, whether it's fantasy or sci fi or zombies or whatever. if you need to scratch an RP itch, there will be an rp there that interests you, i can almost guarantee it.
and after dealing with some of the absolute dumbasses i've met there, i found it much easier to deal with things i didn't like here. i was able to stop bitching at kaze so much about his characters, for instance, because i saw so much worse that by comparison he's fuckin charles dickens or some shit.
basically what im saying is that instead of getting mad at this place or feeling bad about how we seem so dead lately, it wouldn't hurt to have some new experiences for yourself and change your perspectives a little bit. it helps a lot even if you have to deal with a lot of shit along the way.
i hope this was legible i've been on a sleep deficit for like three days so yeah
