I'll be your Undertaker this evening
2017: A peculiar asteroid moving through our solar system is noted for the first time, having somehow remained unseen up to this point by any of the far-space probing instruments Earth has sent into the final frontier. Amidst the flurry of scientific activity that this discovery sparks, two key revelations come to light: The asteroid consists largely of an unidentified element, and if something is not done, it will strike the planet. Estimates of its destruction range between levels not seen since the atomic bomb, and a complete extinction event.

2020: An advanced space shuttle developed specifically for a mission to intercept the asteroid is completed. It is fitted with a weapon more powerful than anything mankind has ever unleashed, a missile with a warhead roughly twenty times as powerful as the Tsar Bomba. To gather enough nuclear material to build this missile, dubbed "2nd Coming," numerous countries disassembled their stockpiles to such an extent that supporters of global nuclear disarmament now see their goal as much more than a pipe dream.

2021: Having been on course for roughly 9 months, space shuttle "Judgement" arrives close enough to the asteroid to deploy the 2nd Coming. The explosion can be seen from Earth's surface and entire populations of cities stand below the night sky to watch what seems to be their last hope.

It fails.

Though the asteroid is reduced in size, many of its more mundane components reduced to space dust, this unidentified element seems to entirely ignore the incredible power of the 2nd Coming. It smashes the Judgement to pieces and continues, unhindered, on its course. Humanity weeps.

2022: Impact.

This is the last we knew of the Outer World. Does humanity still thrive beyond the Wall? Are we all that's left? Can we truly be called Humans anymore, now that the Astrals hold all power?

So this big ass meteor with a weird never-before-seen-totally-soft-scifi-element in it crashes into Earth, specifically somewhere on the North American Continent, and does two major things:

One, the "city" that composes the majority of the setting is inside a giant fucking crater--the landscape has become such that there is basically this huge, mountainous "Wall" that makes getting out of "Zero" (the city named for ground zero) nearly impossible. Zero is very large, but highly barren as well; imagine the western United States, places like Arizona and the Grand Canyon. That kind of inhospitable environment, mixed with the ruins of civilization and a few patches of greenery and water here and there, is our setting.

Two, roughly a generation after the impact, people called Astrals have started to pop up. They have superpowers, more or less. Though not a great deal is known about them, there is one particular faction that has been able to study them and use what they've learned to produce some stuff that will factor into the RP--things like drugs and technology probably quite similar to some of the "Augments" Niroth had going in From Ashes.

Depending on what you guys wanna do, we could make the plotline revolve around the power struggles inside Zero--multiple factions fighting for control over the city, now that law and order have lapsed and it's basically an apocalyptic dog-eat-dog world--OR we could make it about exploring/escaping Zero in order to find out what's happened to the rest of the world, OR we could do something else. Like I said, it depends on you guys.

The super powers would have a few limits, but if you're at all familiar with X-men, an anime/manga called Needless, and superpower stories in general you'd be able to follow it easily. Mostly it revolves around having a singular "ability" but figuring out creative and versatile ways of using that one power.

Interested yes/no/why/why not?

Okay we have a handful, maybe some more info would entice people.

PLOT: Do you guys wanna do "Escape from the apocalyptic hellhole city and figure out what happened to the rest of the world" OR do you wanna do "Fight to survive in the apocalyptic hellhole city and choose between (maybe 4?) different Factions of superhuman gangs and shit" ??

SETTING: Do you want me to do a map yes/no?

POWERS: Any suggestions for what you do or do not want in regards to the rules/conditions governing the powers and their usage before I lay out my ideas? I already know a few things:

I'm NOT gonna have stats, but I WILL have levels for the abilities. Like From Ashes. sorry for stealing rothikins

You only get ONE power, though it can have multiple uses. The "uses" won't have levels, the power as a whole will.

And I was thinking of doing a "augmentation/drug" thing where you could get more "basic" powers like enhanced strength and speed added to your main power, but they would only be basic things related to physical attributes or attributes of your original power. Like, you couldn't have a character with "Pyrokinesis" and then take a pill to add "Aerokinesis" to that. But you could have Pyrokinesis and then buy/loot a thing to give you "Minor Super Strength" and so on.

But yeah give me YOUR ideas, since that's easier to work with than repeatedly throwing mine at you and begging you for input.

Best to sleep on it.
(My opinions, not demands)

Plot: I liked what you said in the beginning about it depending on us. Instead of having it entirely revolve around one concept (Escape from the City or survival of the fittest...) have all of that going on. Separate little nuggets of plot-lines that go on at the same time, to have the world being built extensively. Stuff in the background, that might occasionally pop up (Like, while trying to figure a way to get out, one of the PCs kills an NPC, which green-lights an entire gang onto them, or the like). A bit sandbox-ish, but it'd let anyone make a character who wants to do whatever they want, y'know?

Setting: Ehh, map could be nice, but it'd depend on how detailed you'd make it, the scale of the thing... maybe make it dynamic and changing as the RP progresses.

Powers: I'm imagining you're using your revamped... Arc magic system? The one with inheritance and whatnot, but simplified. I'm alright with that, but I'm a bit hazy on the details...

As for the whole augmentation/drug thing, Roth had a decent implementation with it in From Ashes. Nanomachines, drugs, actual mechanical limbs... I'd say it's easy to remain in reason for the physical attributes or boosters for your main power, too, so no reason to make up an entire list of stuff.

...Though, you might have to define it a bit, if there's actually a pill for "Aerokinesis." Unless that's an example. And then maybe define how boosters might work. Boosters being my term for the augmentation that's related to the attribute of your original power.

Maybe put in a limit to how many drugs you can take before overdosing, too? I'm guessing it's implied that once you have the thing that gives "Minor Super Strength," it's probably a drug that you have to take every so often to keep it? Might not work if everyone decides, "Oh, well, then, I'll just have nanomachines instead!" but... you get the idea. Granted, that could be increased by levels... which, uh, makes this actually obsolete never mind!

Sandbox plot, would be harder but okay will consider that as an option.

For map I was thinking of kinda a sketch thing or something, very basic, wouldn't be too hard to whip up. Could leave blank spots for people to fill in their own stuff, but how many of you anticipate actually doing that in like, an important capacity?

Powers are more like X-men except not stupidly broken. Just whatever you'd like your character to have as a superpower. Multiple people with the same power are possible but not encouraged.

Will look through From Ashes for more to steal adapt. The idea was that there would be simple pill/potion/whatever items you'd pop for temporary boosts, and then stronger versions/surgeries/i dunno/etc for permanent stuff. It'd all cost currency or be dropped from enemies.

A Fallout kind of thing for addiction/overdosing? Hmmm...maybe. Depends on other peoples' feedback.

Maybe not so much a "sandbox" as much as it is "hey this plot is happening at the same time but it's not relevant to you except for certain times when you dip into it/piss off a gang/scratch their back to let them scratch yours." Y'know, like... parallel plot lines. I think the trope is Two Lines, No Waiting?

Post apocalypse RP with a mash of FA and X-men, interesting...

Plot: More than one goal would be nice. Do them both I would say, but one step further to Persona's suggestion would be fine too.

Setting: Map is preferable, but up to you.

Powers: I can see that there's a lot we could possibly do with them. I'm still trying to decide who I want to use.

Now I am also guessing that this roleplay will be more interactive between mod and player in working together like Pokemon.

That's all I can think of right now. I'll post more when I can think of more, or when you have new ideas to share.

I'm out of title ideas
I might be down to give this a shot. Probably depends on how the power system ends up working out. On that front, all I'd ask is that it be fairly simple to work with. That system you laid out a while back with elements and combo elements and restrictions for power was a neat idea and all, but a bit overcomplicated as it was.

Objective-wise, I think Persona's got the right idea, pretty much. Leave exploration/escape and factional power struggles both on the table to play with, maybe skew the emphasis a bit as appropriate once everyone's settled in and figured out which they want to prioritize.

Map would be nice to have. Though if exploration's gonna be a big thing, would suggest making it either a partial map with just the areas where we start or a very, very barebones one with like, basic layout, a few major landmarks basically everyone would know, and not much else, and expand/detail from there as things go.

And tossing in two cents on the overdose thing, if you're gonna have temp boosts v.s. permanent additions, I'd suggest mainly putting a limit on the last one. Say you can only pop so many major doses of canned superpowers or have so many power-granting bits grafted onto you before you start getting complications on the side that'll fuck you up increasingly bad and eventually be a death sentence past some point. That way, someone wants to down like a dozen temp boosts and become batshit strong/versatile for a single big fight or something at the cost of emptying their medicine cabinet completely, fine, but you can't pump all your cash into permanently becoming Do Everything Man because you're probably going to have your body give out in short order after splurging on a third super sense and your fifth -kinesis or something.

No preference on the map, k

Yeah powers are just the usual "whatever you can come up with" superpowers.

This is an example of the powers I'm thinking of:
http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Superpower_Wiki

EXCLUDING, of course, anything labeled "Omni-" anything, anything "Almighty," anything reality warping, so on and so forth. So, again, think X-men, Justice League, etc.

Another vote for sanboxxyness, got it.

Emptyish-map that can be filled by players/explored, k.

Right, that's what I was thinking as far as overdoses/drug use went.

Also just a fair suggestion: try to keep it specialized and focused with the powers. Find a niche strategy and work it; don't try and do everything.

Yes please everyone do this.

I don't mind if you find lots of uses within a given sort of "category" but don't do a "lightning can do everything" kind of situation.

For example, Pyrokinesis. Things I'd be okay with:

Fireballs, fiery punches, flamethrower hands. Bigger jumps/temporary flight with fire jets under the feet. Being able to heat things up until they melt or explode with a lot of focus and physical contact or something.

Things I would not be okay with:
Barriers made of fire. Golems made of fire that act independently and have "mass." Healing with fire. Cauterization would be iffy but really all it does is damage you some more and stop bleeding. Armor made of fire. Solid objects made of fire. So on and so forth.

It will be. As will be things like immortality, teleportation, intangibility, and maybe some others depending on feedback.

Also here's a rough map.
Spoiler: click to toggle

The Locations:
North: The base of one of the factions. Not pictured but surrounding it would be some apartment complexes, shops and restaurants, stuff like that. The more people-focused part of a city, basically. After that it merges into the big city area below it.

Center: The primary "big city" part of any big urban sprawl. Largely destroyed, run down, overgrown, etc. Where the majority of the survivors eke out a living, but also the most violent area as territory and resources are hotly contested. Not pictured but surrounding it are gradual merges with the other areas and an underground metro system.

West: A lake that formed from a large cavern/sinkhole system uncovered by the impact and then filled with rain water. The largest source of fresh water in Zero, but under the control of one of the factions that occupies the abandoned oil refinery nearby. The caverns that formed the lake are actually the leftovers of the fracking system, so the water is heavily polluted. The faction that controls this area is working on converting the refinery into a water purification system. Not pictured but surrounding it is an area of greenery and wilderness, actual trees and whatnot beginning to grow back, and beyond that a gradual merging with the other areas.

South: A shanty town formed by those forced out of the more central areas, but also controlled by one of the factions. An extremely resource poor but oddly peaceful area, yet anyone unaffiliated with the faction will more often than not be barred access. Not pictured but surrounding it are agricultural areas and mills and such where the hobo army is beginning to set up their own infrastructure.

East: A big fuckin pile of rocks and rubble brought down by landslides and the destruction of whatever urban-ness was once here, also doubling as a gigantic landfill. The faction that controls this area mostly lives in caves and tunnels underneath the surface, and not many know what goes on beneath the debris. Not pictured but surrounding it is a disgusting cesspool of polluted pools, ramshackle junkyard settlements, stinking refuse, so on and so forth. It's rumored that there may be a way past the Wall here to the Outer World.

LOOK KIDDIES OUR RPS HAVE DRUGS IN THEM NOW

Okay, so the idea behind these is that, in the aftermath of the impact, someone has figured out how to reproduce a few of the effects that the Astrals--those with superpowers--naturally exhibit. They distribute their discoveries in pill forms, and these become not only the newest big drug on the scene, but one of the many ways that people without powers, or Astrals with weaker abilities, now are almost required to use in order to survive--especially if, for whatever reason, you find yourself involved in the gang violence or just fighting for your life against other Astrals.

All drugs will be available for purchase or as lootable items from enemies. There are two major versions: the pills, which are TEMPORARY, and a concentrated injection which is PERMANENT. The injection will be much more expensive/hard to get compared to the pills, but won't have the dangers of overdose or side effects.

WHEN USING the temporary versions, Players will need to KEEP TRACK of how much of the drug they have taken. Each level of the drugs has an effect associated with it and a time limit. Once that time limit wears off, though, it will take 1 POST for every ten mg of the drug to wear off. So if you just keep popping pills without waiting for the dosage to wear off, you'll soon reach a level where worse things start to happen.

Here's the drugs and their levels so far. Feel free to give all the feedback you want, consider this just a rough draft.

Myostatix
A red pill that duplicates the effects of Astrals who have naturally enhanced physical strength. Side effects include intense and unprovoked anger and aggression, an increase in metabolism that requires larger calorie intake, and feelings of exhaustion after use.

Myosonix
A pink pill that duplicates the effects of Astrals who have naturally enhanced physical and mental speed. Side effects include inability to focus and hyperactivity, intense increase in metabolism that requires much larger calorie intake, and feelings of exhaustion after use.

Dermalex
A black pill that duplicates the effects of Astrals who have naturally enhanced physical toughness and stamina. Side effects include feelings of sluggishness, difficulty breathing, and stiffness or numbness of the muscles and joints.

Regenex
A green pill that duplicates the effects of Astrals who have naturally enhanced healing capabilities. Side effects include a relaxed "high," an increase in metabolism that requires larger calorie intake, and extra sensitivity to pain after use.

Exstral
A white pill that increases the natural tendencies of an Astral's body, boosting their power levels. Side effects include feelings of exhaustion after use, reduced control of power while under the effects, and depressed feelings after use.

30 mg - Lv. 1 for 3 posts. 1 Side effect.
60 mg - Lv 3 for 3 posts. 2 Side effects.
90 mg - Lv 5 for 3 posts. 3 Side effects.
120 mg - Lv 7 for 3 posts. 1 Intense Side effect, 2 normal Side effects.
150 mg - Lv 10 for 3 posts, 2 Intense Side effects, 1 normal side effects, Reduced Base Attribute for 1 post after use.
180 mg - Lv 12 for 3 posts, 3 Intense Side effects, Heavily Reduced Base Attribute for 3 posts after use.
200 mg - Lv 13 for 3 posts, 3 Intense Side effects, Heavily Reduced Base Attribute for 3 posts after use, Weakness and Pain after use.
250 mg - Lv 15 for 1 post, Unconsciousness after use.
300 mg - Lv 20 for 1 post, Unconsciousness after use, 1 Intense Side Effect becomes Permanent.

ALSO A NOTE ON THE POWER LEVELS

Currently, I imagine Lv. 1 as being very basic--perhaps, in some cases, more so than what we might be used to. In terms of raw power, it'd be like adding a hard punch to whatever you've got. Someone with Lv. 1 super strength could therefore throw a hard punch twice as hard; a Lv 1. Fireball would hit with the force of a hard punch and its flames would be the same as your usual fireplace's red/yellow/orange fire. In terms of stamina, it would take the same amount of effort as throwing that hard punch. So on and so forth. Lv 2 is roughly twice as strong as level 1; Lv 3 is roughly three times as strong as Lv. 1. Keep all this in mind and ask me if you feel like you're unsure.

Appearance:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Seraphim stands at five feet, five inches tall and weighs about one hundred pounds. She has long red hair, dark skin and deep blue eyes.

She wears a simple black tank top on her torso and a pair of old goggles around her neck that she's had with her for many years and simply refuses to replace. On her legs she wears a black and blue pilot suit despite not being a pilot with the upper body portion of it tied around her waist. An old leather satchel is belted to her thigh and black gloves that have seen their fair share of wear and tear are worn on her hands.

"If it is not obvious, I am the blue spherical entity in the corner. You may compliment me on my eyes. I do not mind.

Background:
Seraphim inhabits the area of the crater to the North and lives amongst it's abundance of people as a mechanic and tinkerer. A well-educated girl, Seraphim has always been a quick learner with an equally quick tongue that let's her talk her out of just about anything that comes her way in this ravaged world. Her interest in how things worked naturally pulled her toward work that allowed her curiosity and creativity to flourish.

In her free time over the course of about two years, Seraphim worked on a creation of her own. Using whatever she could find around where she worked as well as some other special bits and pieces she had to go to great lengths to acquire, the girl eventually created a spherical device a bit smaller than a basket ball that she uploaded an artificial intelligence of her own design in to that she named AVI, after her intentions with the creation. With the desire to learn and adapt to everything Seraphim interacted with, AVI came to accompany the girl everywhere she went without hesitation. Not wanting anyone to take AVI from her, Seraphim installed a simple energy-based weapon to her friend so that he may defend himself if the situation calls for it.

When she was at work, AVI would help her complete her assigned projects, often considerably faster than was expected of her. When she slept, AVI kept watch over her and the outside world, using the time to review the information it had gathered throughout the day to better teach itself.

Seraphim lives by herself in a large apartment complex surrounded by neighbors that would like to see her gone. The noise she creates during all hours of the evenings and night keep everyone around her awake and disgruntled. Regardless, outside of her home, Seraphim is quick to make friends with just about anyone who pays her any attention.

"In case you were wondering, I join her while she bathes as well. Before you ask, the answer is no; I will not record these events for you."

Powers:
  • [rainbow]Diamond Flesh[/rainbow] - 1
Seraphim's epidermis and dermis can transform into pure diamond, making the girl highly resistant to damage and covering her in a mirror-like surface.

    • Diamond Appendages -
Seraphim is able to modify aspects of her flesh once it has been replaced by diamond, allowing her to form simple blades and bludgeons in place of her hands and feet.
    • Reflective Surface -
The diamond surface of Seraphim's flesh is highly reflective allowing for interesting interactions between energy and elemental attacks against her.
    • Solar Flare -
Due to the state of Seraphim's body when her dermis layers have been converted to diamond, high light environments can wreak havoc on the vision of opponents attempting to target her.

  • Myosonix - 2
An injection that duplicates the effects of Astrals who have naturally enhanced physical and mental speed.

Inventory:
  • Money: 600
  • Tinkerer's Tools

Believe In Me

Appearance:
Lambert's kind of a tall fellow. Like, lanky and six feet three inches tall. He's got really long, brown hair that can stick out in a lot of places and it's kinda messy usually. "Carefree" is written all over his face with his default expression being blank or "euphoric" as he likes to call it. His clothing would probably be called pretty stylish if that's what everyone else was really going for. He's got some loose-fitting cargo pants (or were they jeans?) that are ripped at the knees; some pretty nice green sneakers; a faded T-shirt with the band Redfurt's logo plastered on the front; a jacket with the sleeves ripped short so it looks like some sort of vest (and he has the collar popped a little too); fingerless gloves; and a big pair of headphones that are usually plugged into... something.

Background:
'Kay so, I dunno what really you wanna know. I was born on the south side 'n stuff, didn't really have too much but whatever. We got by. We didn't have really any big house or anything, so we had to be really careful with our stuff or else it got snatched up. Anyways that doesn't matter. A lotta us were pretty close down there, so we got by helpin' each other out and what not.

What matters is that it took us awhile to get outta there. See, I had some pre-tty sticky fingers as a kid and if there was some food or whatever the bigger guys were hoggin', they'd miss a few bites here 'n there let's say. I was pretty cute too, so 'snot like that hurt my chances. Anyways we got into some trouble with what we called the "Po-Po" down there, so we had to cheese it pretty quick.

After that I kinda got split up with my folks. I dunno where they went, but I'm sure they're fine. I made my way to the city in Zero where I got myself acquainted with a few smaller gangs. They liked my moves with takin' stuff, and all I asked for was food and somma that sweet R-nex. It's a sweet life, so not like I wanna do much to ruin it.

Powers:
  • Hard Glow - 1
The manipulation of photons into molecules to create temporary solid objects that function as both a solid and light itself. Gets pretty complicated, I know.
    • Lux Longsword -
Conjures a sword of solid, hard light. Not like a lightsaber, no. It's kinda just a normal sword but... made of light. Attacks with slashes and stabs and focuses on speed.
    • Main-Sequence Mallet -
Conjures a war-hammer made of light. Hits very hard and strong compared to the Longsword, but is much slower. Attacks with smashes and bludgeons and focuses on strength.
    • Spectral Shield -
Conjures a large shield made of hard light. You can bash with it I guess, but it's more about blocking stuff. Attacks with defending and focuses on defending. You can defend with it.

  • Mysosonix - 2
An injection that duplicates the effects of Astrals who have naturally enhanced physical and mental speed.

    Inventory:
    • Money - 600 bones
    • An old music player with a cracked screen
    • an empty container with "Regenex" on the label.

Spoiler: click to toggle
Everything looks good for a rough draft, just wanna make sure of a few things:

Avi's energy weapon isn't like, a plasma cannon or something, right? Just a little pew-pew laser?

Also, diamond's an incredibly hard substance, but remember that the powers are somewhat limited by levels, so obviously at Lv. 1 she wouldn't be invincible in her diamond form. I would imagine that turning into the material would also make movement and flexibility a bit limited?

Diamond does reflect light, but I don't think elemental attacks like fire and lightning should be effected by that.

Other than the above, everything seems fine to me. May need some tweaking, but that's just cause I'm going to be compiling more information about what exactly needs to be in the profiles, like how many levels characters are allowed and such.

Slow and steady...
AVI's gun is pretty much just a ranged taser at this point.

I hadn't intended for her to be invinsible. She's just highly resistant to damage. Giving her a wallop will send her flying and crashing in to enough things will certainly start to hurt. The elemental stuff was more or less just diminished results at the start. Later on she'd become more mirror-like and start being able to reflect some things probably.

Assassin
Name:
Vormund Blake

Gender:
Male

Age:
23

Theme:
No idea?

Appearance:
Vormund is a big man standing at six feet eight inches tall. He's thickly set with muscle, which is softened by a thick layer of fat most strongmen were known for. His skin is sun darkened and is partially hidden by thick brown hair on his chest, arms, and supposedly his legs. Some scars appear on his arms where surgeries had to happen to repair tendons and ligaments.

His hair is dyed white, including eyebrows and readily exposed body hair, and left long. Bushy eyebrows and a goatee decorate his face. His eyes are a dark dark brown. For clothing he wears nothing but white tee-shirts, blue jeans, and brown leather boots. When it's cold he has an insulated denim jacket.

In his abilities form he's a twelve foot tall behemoth made of stone. Long spikes just from his shoulders and short ones dot his forearms. The rest of him is made up of jagged stone that's pretty unpleasant to the touch. Like sandpaper.

Rock Solid!

Background:
Vormund came from Eastern Zero, living in what amounted to the slums of the crater. Growing up there made people hardy and capable of scavenging things that were good amongst the piles of refuse and debris. For Vormund it was just the ultimate training ground with enough learning to make him not completely stupid.

Growing up he focused on being the strongest man in his area, lifting stupid heavy things and only getting heavier. This also ties in with his abilities, multiplying his strength over and over as he got older and bigger. To survive he worked for his food, constructing what needed constructing, moving what others couldn't, and demolishing things that were in the way. He also helped whenever the desperate kind of raiders popped up, running them off with strength and durability.

But now he wanted to wander a bit, see what the rest of the crater is like instead of his home in the east. He had heard some things but he wants to see them. He's more bent on discovering everything Zero has to offer instead of leaving the crater like most would want to. He could probably scale the crater itself but he dares not try yet.

Powers:
  • Super Strength - 1 - Increased levels of physical might.
  • Abnormal Strength - He has a considerable amount of strength, beyond the natural means, at his disposal. Allowing him to push his boundaries to 500lbs.

  • The Golem - 2 - Turns into a giant being made of stone
  • Superior Defense - Description. Being made of stone gives him a boost in defense the fleshlings don't have. Physical strikes hurt less and most bullets don't do a whole lot.
  • Spike Launch - Reached back he snaps off a spike and launches it like a javelin over moderately long distances.
  • Earth Devour - He scoops up rocks, dirt, concrete, whatever is made out of earth and eats it to regenerate his stoney body. Currently doesn't regenerate much and it only repairs his stone form.
  • Slab - Digging into the ground he flips it up for a makeshift shield. Alternatively he can just flip the ground and crush people in front of him with the slab.
  • Smash - Slamming both fists into the ground he causes the ground around him to tremble, knocking everyone around him off balance.
  • Battering Ram - Using his strength and weight he plows through people, small cars, and some walls.

Inventory:

  • Money: $600
  • Stuff 'n Things

Niroth you're fine.

Kaze:
Super Strength seems like a separate thing from "turn body into rock." Like, I definitely see how you would be able to hold up more/punch harder because your body is now made of a sturdier substance. But even if you're going by "world record for peak human is 1100 lbs" I don't think he would have had peak human strength even if he was just naturally strong.

If he lacks bones he shouldn't be able to move at all, much less whirl around as he pleases.

I imagine ripping off his own spikes would be equivalent to tearing off chunks of his flesh. If you wanna take the damage from that then sure.

Uh I don't think detaching a limb is very helpful.

I cleared eating rocks with you over skype, but at the time I thought that he was always going to be in rock form. If it's a form he can switch between at will, then he doesn't need to eat rocks to heal himself. He could just change to human form and heal at a natural rate in that form.

He'd need super strength for the slab thing. See above. Same for the next two.

Assassin
Name:
John Marks

Gender:
Male

Age:
28

Theme:
Optional

Appearance:
John is relatively tall; coming up to 6'0 exactly and weighing about 175 pounds, most of which comes from his muscled, toned physique. His black hair is cut short, and mostly covered by the dusty old hat he is often seen wearing. He carries a pair of dark sunglasses, often wearing them over his bright blue eyes, giving his handsome face a bit of a stern edge. He wears an ordinary, nondescript blue shirt covered by a dark bomber jacket. His legs are covered by heavy duty cargo pants, and he wears heavy boots on his feet.

Nassus is a fully grown German Sheppard with dark brown fur, a friendly face, and surprisingly intelligent eyes. Being a member of the canine species, he typically goes all natural. But John does often tie a red bandana around his neck for Nassus to wear for however long as the dog will stand to wear it.

Background:

John doesn't really call any territory within the Wall home at present; drifting from one area within the crater to another as he needs to. And since he has taken up traveling so much, he works as a courier to make his living; delivering various sundry items from one area to another for the right price. It was on one of these delivery runs that he found his constant friend and companion, a German Sheppard he came to call Nassus. He picked up the little lost puppy out of the wastes before it could succumb to the harsh elements, and it has been at his side ever since.

Ever since The Impact there have been many within the Wall that have developed unique abilities, and John counts himself among there number. However, he was shocked to one day discover that Nassus was part of the club as well. Ever since he had taken the little puppy in, he had always seemed unnaturally resilient. But it wasn't until Nassus survived a head-on collision with a car that John realized that the dog was something special. Always one to take advantage of opportunity, John now has Nassus carry their deliveries assuming that they are small enough to be transported by a dog.

John wouldn't say that his life is easy, but it is rarely dull. He does sometimes wonder if there is more to the world than what lies within the Wall's borders though, and ponders trying to find a way back into the Outer World.

Powers:
[*]Electricity Manipulation - 2 - Generation and manipulation of various forms of electricity.
  • Lightning Bolt- John creates and shoots a bolt of electricity at foes.
  • Thunderclap- By emitting an incredibly short ranged burst of electricity to split the air molecules before him, John duplicates the effects of a burst of thunder directly in the path of a physical attack. This adds a loud and painful explosion of sound waves to a physical assault.
  • Zap- Acting like a tazer, John electrocutes that which he is touching directly.
  • Living Battery- By absorbing the electricity of objects nearby, John is able to replenish his own energy and even boost his power. Although he runs the risk of burning himself out if he takes in too much energy at one time.

  • Regenex - 1 - An injection that duplicates the effects of Astrals who have naturally enhanced healing capabilities.

Powers (Nassus):

  • Heightened Durability - 3 -

Inventory:

  • Money: $600
  • Various odds and ends
  • Dog food
  • Expandable baton
