I'll be your Undertaker this evening

Name: Hyogashima Juhaku Age: Appears to be in his early twenties, but is actually a little over fifty years old. Gender: Male Race: Soul Reaper Appearance: Spoiler: click to toggle DISCLAIMER: I do not own the original image used in this edited image. It's some dude from some anime called Hakuoki something about the Shinsengumi, all I did was edit the colors a bit. However, this is pretty much the base of what I imagined Juhaku to look like. Do not credit me for this as I didn't draw it. Backstory: Juhaku's memory of his life as a human is somewhat hazy; the trauma of death often affects a spirit's memories of their more recent years, and the difference in the perception of time between spirits and mortals causes memories to slowly fade over the years. It is for this reason that asking about someone's life "before" is often seen as very discourteous, and most Soul Reapers consider themselves distinct from human identities. What he does know is that he has always been a loner. When he passed into the Rukongai, the district of Soul Society where Good Souls who are not Soul Reapers live, he was even more alone. Like many spirits who are separated from their loved ones due to their time of death, he lived with a foster family of sorts for some time. Despite the others treating him kindly, he never made any real connections with them...and the distance between them became greater when Juhaku noticed that he was becoming hungry, despite being a spirit. Spirits of greater spiritual power often begin to feel such sensations returning to them, and if it is not dealt with, the spirit may find themselves changing against their wills. This is how Soul Reapers come to be...but it also presents a risk of becoming a Hollow. When he told the others what was happening, they cast him out, and he was forced to wander on his own. No one would help him out of fear that he would become a Hollow and devour them. Juhaku thought that the Soul Reapers would surely kill him, if they thought he was as great a risk as the other spirits. But he could think of no other place to go, save the Spirit Stone walls of the Seireitei. And against everything he had thought, they accepted him. He was brought into the Court of Pure Souls, taught to control his emerging powers, given an Asauchi to begin connecting with his very own Zanpakutou. A particular captain even took interest in him after he graduated, and Juhaku soon found himself climbing the ranks to the coveted position of a Vice Captain. But despite all of this...he still feels alone... Powers and Abilities:
