It's just a meager fifteen years into the future. Twenty Twenty-Nine. In the year 2027 a terrorist known as AchanFallwas deemed to succeed in his plot to destroy the entire earth and therefore commit genocide. Hastily the leaders of the world put a fail safe into action that they had been developing for decades: a human metempsychosis called Baptism where all eight billion souls were transferred into wireless transmission therefore trapping their consciousness in cyberspace and granting many the ultimate wish of immortality. However shortly after the transferal...many began to realize that Baptism wasn't all that it seemed. After year one normal human way of life has radically altered from what they were used to. The highest source of power is now "Wal-Space" the enormous retail shopping industry that rules all of this transmission kingdom. Wal-Space is administered by over four million Managers, high cybernauts in authority that control almost everything in the transmission stream and are fiercely loyal to "The Founder" the unknown leader of all of Wal-Space. Everything is monitored, everything is controlled by his will. Or the managers would like to have many think. Zakary Hellman is surprised after managing to become an "Employee" (A soldier) of Wal-Space that there are loop-holes and back doors to avoid being detected by Managers. With little knowledge at his disposal his goal is simple: rally an army and take control of Wal-Space to create the image of what Baptism should have been. There are virtually three ranks in this RP. First there would be: Avatars Basically normal civilians and consumer shoppers. They are the weakest of the races, but they do however have one unique and useful feature: They can Avatar switch. In this RP, all Avatar players who create more than one character for it will technically only be one character. Any secondary characters or more that they create will be added to their "Avatar history" therefore letting one avatar "jump" to another character and using whatever skills and abilities necessary as each character deems. However I am thinking of making a character limit, so as to avoid having players make forty something avatars and confusing the RP greatly. Avatars also have a slight edge for the fact that they are not fully controlled by Managers. Managers still hold rank in power though and just one Avatar attempting to take one on is a fool's errand. Employees Are the second strongest race. They are modified to not be able to Avatar Switch by Managers. However they can weaponize currency just as Managers can and can also run a Price Check to transmute certain items into currency. The also have limited Ejection abilities which can be witnessed as a telekinetic push. Also "Pets" (Employees who a dedicated to their managers) gain even more special abilities than their co-workers. However they are still not as strong as Managers. There are also Pharmacy Technicians which have the same abilities as an Employee but they also have medical skills enabling them to heal others from serious data corruptions. They are not as combat prepared as normal Employees are though. Managers Extremely dangerous and powerful I can't imagine many players being a Manager without my strict approval. They would be virtually the gods of this RP and hold powers that are only out shined by "The Founder" itself. However it's not to say I would instantly shoot anyone down who has a idea or the intrigue of creating a manager character. Just chat or PM me and we'd work things out as necessary. As stated above Managers would be the most powerful. They hold no commands over Avatars with the exception of Ejection. However with their Employees they hold a plethora of instruction. Employees assigned to their rank will have emotion checks scanned three times a day, If the manager doesn't like it, he can change the emotion to any of the three: Sad, Angry, or Happy. To the players controlling the said Employee, they would have to do their best to convey the emotion for the next three posts until the emotion wears off. Managers can also weaponize currency as Employees can but they have much more mastery and can even use currency against rebellious workers. Their price check is absolute: any and all items they scan can be transmuted into currency. Also Managers wield "Blackball" a camera system that can function between four different Managers. Whatever another manager witnesses so does the others. Which four they'll be decides on their choice of link with others. However as stated this can only work between four of the same Managers and no more. Also only hiring Managers can hire new employees and upgrade Avatars to stronger power. Finally, Pharmacists have the same level of control as Managers but like the technicians they are mainly healing based and are more knowledgeable in the tech area. Granted there are still some kinks to work out and I haven't thought of everything. But I feel like this a good start to a new kind of RP. Let me know what you guys think.
