I missed the one NTNP made. How about we try an Ivalice setting again? I'm thinking either during or after FFXII/FFTA2 (which I think are roughly at the same time). |

Eh. Lost Kingdom is cool because it's dark fantasy and Dark Souls based, and ToS is our usual generic fantasy. I think that's enough sword and sorcery. Any other RPs we make should be different as long as those two are ongoing, and I certainly don't want to see either of them end any time soon. |

If you do choose to make something Ivalice based just give me a yell and I'll set you up with all my old information. I still have all the technical stuff from it so all that would need to be made is the narrative. |

I actually looked back at the information from Ivalice's Fate. I really think that RP had a lot of possibilities. If I was running it now I would bet that it would have been 100 times better than it was back then. It might require some mild modifications to be up to date to the types of systems I use now but otherwise it would be pretty fun. |

I just checked it out at ER, but that's FFT Ivalice, which doesn't have all the fun races (Nu Mou, Bangaa, Viera, Moogle, Gria, Seeq, Hume) or airships... |

Nope, I made them extinct in my storyline. Actually I made them important to the meta plot, involving figuring out what happened to the races and caused the decline of the world. It was kinda cool, mostly because I had a greater plan in mind that was revealed piece by piece. |

But those races are actually balanced, not like the Zelda ones. So we could use them

Eh, what can I say, I prefer a purely human world with more distinctive cultures rather than physiological differences stemming from being different species. Plus I always find it strange that all these vastly different races act the same (give or take) as a human does. In animal terms, it would be like putting a monkey, a boar and giant insect together. Sure they can live peacefully together BUT don't act anywhere near the same. Then again I also like the post-cataclysm years of Ivalice. Its a little more entertaining in my eyes, plus I'm a sucker for political works. Hmm, one of these days I should try running a more politically focused storyline... that might be rather interesting as well... |

This is due to bad writing, not an inherently bad trait of the concept itself. |

I don't know what you've got against other races, NT. Are you a Nazi or something? >_< |

I'm fine in the rare cases where non-human characters don't have the traits/customs/behaviors associated with humans. In books, media, hell even some games, I've seen these races portrayed in such a way that makes them inherently different than the rest of the humans. Most authors don't do that so well, so I have gained a hatred for multiple races with no differences baring some mild cultural changes that go away within 10 minutes. |
