Post any resources for roleplaying creation in here. I'll start with this one. Map Generator http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~amitp/game-programming/polygon-map-generation/mapgen2.swf Creates an island map with your specifications. Really useful if you need a map, but don't feel like doing it manually; just add names or anything else through your favourite image editing software. Anime Character Generator http://www.mediafire.com/?mqy2mntrkot This neat tool allows you to create anime characters. Unfortunately, it's rather limited, and you'll end up with lolis or girly shotas, and the outfits are mostly modern day stuff. Still might be useful. Edited by Arcvalons, January 24, 2013, 2:07 pm.

It seems like their generator is kind of limited, I kept getting the same map over and over on some of the settings. The ability to use a 3d view and different kinds of formats is interesting, though--I can see the polygon map being very useful for something like D&D or a wargame where you can only move so many units of space at a time. |

Oh, it must be the seed, you could probably be using similar numbers. Other than that, it always creates mountainy island. |

If you use the above view with biome settings, you could conceivably recolor things and just label what's mountainous area and what's not, though, so that can be easily remedied. Personally I just use a method I found for Paint.net that makes landmasses out of the cloud render. There's also a landmass pattern that can be used, but it mostly creates repeating islands and isn't very good. |

I use that method often too, though it only gives you an outline. |

I found a tutorial somewhere that fills in the outline with stuff, but I can't remember what it was. I'll have to find it again and put up a link. |

Tried the animegen thing. It's filled with moonspeak so you can't even understand what you're doing, and the only body type seems to be "little girl." I can't see it working that well for anything. |

But its easy to figure what everything is. And you can create little girl characters, or just flat short girls |
