As we all know, the site's birthday was yesterday. Now EoA is three years old! In other news, the PSI roleplay has started, the Contact mini-roleplay has already started as well, and the Pokemon mini-roleplay will soon start as well!

We have many things here like RPs, discussions, galleries, games and much more. It is also a pretty fun place to be in. Discussions include everyday lives, video games, and anime.

Below, you can read the ongoing RPs on this site. However, participation in these RPs require registration. The RPs are pretty fun though, with add ons that can be bought with money earned by posting on this site. Don't worry, you won't have to pay a cent of real life money. Be sure to check out our current RP: Final Fantasy VIII: The Ties that Bind! No need to worry if you think your roleplaying skills are not good. We don't care about how great a person is at roleplaying, but it's effort that we smile upon.

If you're interested in joining this growing community, don't be shy. Registration is very simple and easy and it will allow you to participate in our roleplays. We are a very welcoming group. Just Starting Posts: 475 Group: Monarch Member #69 Joined: Jun 24, 2012	Chapter 1: The World as it was and Will Never be Again 1. Drawn together by Fate: A common goal to unite us: The city of Dawn's Haven is on the border between the EoA nation and the LS dominion's grasp. They are having a festival to celebrate the end of the war between the LS and the EoA after years of vicious conflicts. There are a number of good things happening there to draw in travelers, merchants, big(ish) wigs from the two nations and all sorts of people are going to be there along with anyone trying to find work. While still a fairly mundane city compared to the great capitols of the world, Dawn's Haven is a fairly nice place that is quiet welcoming given that it was originally established as a crossroads between the two countries. 2. The Town of Dawn's Haven: The Calm Before the Storm: Our story begins in the peaceful little town of Dawn’s Haven as the festival begins anew. This area has experienced a nice little lull since the war, making it a natural mecca for traders and travelers alike. In the eyes of most of the world, it is just a calm little place, genuinely safe and prosperous but since it exists on the boarder and there are soldiers from both nations it is very safe, if tense. It is located at a natural crossroads that leads to each of the nations along with certain wilderness areas that could potentially lead to other neighboring lands. 3. Dissatisfaction of an Imperfect World: After setting up Dawn’s Haven as a “peaceful little tourist town” some of the less ideal aspects of the world are explored. Having said a semi large military force from the EoA and LS nations being present, always seeming to antagonize each other is good start to understanding the general hostilities of the world. But it shouldn’t be too hard to handle… 4. The Herald: For those of you who don’t know, the herald is the person that literally ‘kicks off’ the plot. The party would initially met a man named Matt (controlled by Matt, don’t ask), who is severely injured and needs help getting back to town. He would appear before a character in a sudden burst of light, showing the signs of broken ribs and a gaping wound in his side along with a mysterious item in his hands. Instantly he blabbers about something strange, looking for a person and then collapsing after not being able to find him. Assuming that the party chooses not to be a complete asshole and helps him into town, Matt will seem quiet, almost scared that they would try to take his ‘precious’ from him and tense up at the appearance of any strangers while he is still injured like this. At this point he tries not to attract too much attention and just wants to be somewhere safe, such as an Inn or somewhere that would be a natural meeting place for others if they wanted to interact with him. 5. The Call to Adventure: I’m Hurt, please take my McGuffin : After meeting with Matt and helping him into town, the characters have a chance to go around town, take in the events and explore there is a short period of calm as the party becomes accustomed to the idea that there is something weird going on. A strange looking person appears (controlled by NTNP) looking around the town, asking people about things that don’t entirely make sense. Suddenly the party witnesses a deadly opponent appearing in the middle of town, obviously looking for someone. This monster of a man, with bulging muscles and a vicious great sword (controlled by Onime) interrupts the festival, demanding that someone shows himself before things get ‘worse’ for this little town. Quickly many other people, dressed in similar garb appear. They do nothing hostile, at least initially. Just keep looking for their prey. The party soon sees Matt, sneaking off through the town trying to avoid the boisterous brute as he tries to escape unnoticed. But to no avail, eventually the man that will later be known as RYU (probably not his real name) finds him, along with some of the characters. 6. Crossing the Threshold: Unfortunately then things take a turn for the worse, they aren’t kidding. The brutish man appears within view of the party along with the Herald, weapon drawn demanding the “Artifact” and the “Coward” from the party in exchange for their lives. Instantly Matt, in spite of his injures tries to protect the group from RYU, only to be tossed aside with ease. A devilish smile comes across the boisterous bruisers face as he produces a mysterious looking glove. A single punch is all it took for a large black ‘stain’ to be left on Matt. As the heroic swordsman attempts to fight back, his strength seems to fail him. His legs seem to buckle under his own weight and pain explodes from his hands when he attempts to strike. It is clear that he has become weaker now. Resolved to his fate, the Matt takes a deep breath and then smiles at the party before tossing his previous gemstone to one of the people in the party… before everything goes white. The stone teleports them away with the Artifact, resulting in them appearing half way across the town and given a chance to consider what happened… and to decide what to do from here. Do they try to return to town to help Matt? Do as he asked and protect the Artifact from the brute by taking it away to the LS nation? -This is not the end for Act 1, but the point where the outline ends for public view. Below is the rest under a spoiler tag. If you do not want to spoil yourself on the story, please do not read any further- Spoiler: click to toggle 6.5. The Point of No Return: However, the doesn’t have much a choice in the end. A new player arrives on the scene, that mysterious person from town. While intitially nice, chatty and rather endearing our dear little guets quickly bumps, forcibly takes or whatever in between the Artifact from whomever is holding i. Now the party really has the option to choose; go after the thief or leave it be, even knowing how dangerous that could be. After trailing for a post or so, the will come across something truly strange. The ground, the sky, the trees and everything in between is all in monochrome! It’s like looking into a black and white TV, but as things cross the threshold they remain as colorful and bright as ever before. On the road toward town, there is something in the distance. A tall tower, surrounded by a lake of gray rises up into the white sky with black clouds. This is the party’s first trail. As they approach, they seem the monochrome world expanding. It leaches out into the town, now emblazed by the conflict born from another world. The citizens are in a panic and the soldiers from before are obviously outmatched as otherworldly creatures, far closer to abominations and nightmares than the beasts of this world (created by Onime) stalk the town now, bloodying and butchering anything that gets too close. The longer that the party is there, unwilling to go into the keep in the distance the Veil would expand further and further allowing the abominations to wreck more havoc. The party can shift between these two worlds as they walk through the area, but for now these horrible beasts could not. 7. Threshold Guardian(s): The Physical: As the party approaches the Keep, it begins to rain ever so slightly. As they enter the Keep, a number of those creatures from town blocks their way. While far from the most vicious thing that they will face in their journey, they do provide a moderate challenge and require more than one person to defeat safely. Eventually they reach the top of the keep, to find the Thief from before along with two new beings. While the mortal is easy to see with those bright colors, it is the two bosses that should truly catch the party’s eye. Both of them are opposites, one with white skin marred with black scars and deep yellow eyes (known as Sloth) while the other has black skin, covered in white teeth marks alongside glowing yellow eyes (known as Hunger). They both seem to be speaking to the Thief, but their voices are so hard to understand at first but as things develop the party begins to catch words and phrases that they will understand. Eventually the Thief will leave, fleeing from the room while making sure that the party will have to face these otherworldly abominations before continuing on… 7.5. Threshold Guardian(s): The Mental:After that, we move onto the fun part of the game. The party eventually comes across the spot where the Artifact is being held. Before they can touch it though, there is another hitch in the plan. There they meet an opponent who possess them a challenge that for once doesn’t involve beating the hell out of someone. This person is terrifying looking, entirely formless and shapeless while extremely scary as hell along with bright red eyes that seem to pierce into one’s very soul. Obviously something dangerous, making this feel like a Deal with the Devil as it goes on. This person (whom I will call the Mentor for now) requires the party to make a decision, to choose what they are willing to sacrifice in order to see their world restored. He/She/It explains the basis of the plot, who beings such as those that the party fought against outside are known as the Interlopers seek to see “your” world by absorbing into their own and bending man’s will into becoming their slaves. This creature says that this is your species “fate” to find such destruction and that there is only a single “way” to avoid this fate but it will require your “lives” to accomplish. The party must offer themselves up to the Mentor in order to gain… 8. Supernatural Aid: I don’t really want to ruin this part quiet yet… let’s just say that while some things are… fixed that there are plenty more problems about to arise. The party has made the choice to throw their fate in with the “Mentor” and now it is time for them to learn what it will take to see the world saved from damnation. If anyone would like to help, see the rest of Act 1 and any of Act 2 please just PM me and I’ll happily share the rest of it with you via PM. I don’t want someone to accidentally click on here and be spoiled to the entire story, since I think that would probably make things a lot less entertaining for those involved.

I might wait until tomorrow night to actually 'step it off' but throughout the day I'll likely put together the rest of the stuff in an RPing topic. Oh and small bit of non-connected feedback, I got my grades back yesterday. I got a 98 in my first class and a 100 in my most recent one, giving me a 99 average in my grad school class! Just thought I would share that little bit of amazement because I'm literally gushing about it.
