![]() Welcome to the world of CONQUEST. A simple boardgame-esque game where you start off as a beginning culture and grow in numbers and powerful until You fill the entire map! WAHAHAHAHAHA!! Map Interface: Dark Blue: The ocean, there's nothing to do out there yet. Yellow: Grasslands and fields, easy conquers: 100 workers needed Green: Prairie, can be a little muddy sometimes, but still good!: 200 workers needed Blue: Forests, gonna take a bit of work to get through: 400 workers needed Grey: Mountain crags, plateaus and defenses of an unknown enemy reside here!: 2000 Defenders Purple: ????? Orange: Potential capitals. Whatever is not taken by a player becomes a grassland. Red: Player-owned territories Players join in by doing 3 things, Replying to this topic with: -"I'm in." - a single 99-sided diceroll - A name for your up-and-coming nation. You can add more to your nation, a history, a culture, if they're sea monsters, magicians, robots, whatever. doesn't make much difference, it's just for fun if you wanna. Terms: -Workers: The simple folk of your nation, interchangable for civilians, get everything done. -Warriors: Used only for attacking enemy territories. -Defenders: Used only for protecting territories. Workers: - Each turn you get 100 workers - Workers can be used for researching, colonizing, and can be trained to become Warriors or Defenders - You get 25 workers from villages, 50 from towns, and 75 from cities for each one you have in addition to the 100 you gain each turn. Colonizing: -However much a territory requires to take, that many workers are sacrificed. From then on, that territory is yours and has a village on it. -Villages can be upgraded to towns for the cost of 200 workers. -Towns can be upgraded to cities for the cost of 300 workers. -Colonies do not have any defenses of their own -You may only colonize spaces that were touching spaces you already owned at the beginning of your turn. ((Example: if you owned space 11. Come your turn, you may colonize 10, but you may not colonize 9 as well.)) Attacking: -Warriors are a part of your "army" and can only be deployed to spaces adjacent to one of your territories. -Defenders must be assigned to defend a territory and can be repositioned once per turn. -If an attacker has more Warriors than the defending player has Defenders, then all the defenders are lost and the number of defenders is subtracted from the attacker's number of warriors. The Attacking player takes control of the territory, it has no defenders on it until defenders are assigned. -If an attacker has fewer warriors than the defending player has defenders, then all warriors are lost and the defending player loses defenders from that territory equal to half to warriors that were lost by the opponent. -If the attacker has equal warriors to the defending player's Defenders, the defending player wins. -You may issue one attack to each player per turn. You do not have to attack with all of your Warriors. -Alliances can be forged and gifts can be given. -Once a Worker has been trained to be a warrior or defender, they cannot be 'untrained' -When you attack an Area with more Attackers than the Area has defenders, it legally becomes your territory on your turn, however you do not gain workers for it until next turn. You may, however, assign defenders to the position immediately after attacking it. Research and Development: -Researching grants you certain technologies and advantages. -Each research project has a cost of workers. Once the research is complete, half the workers are returned to you, half are lost. -A list of technologies will be put up once the game starts. -Research is Completed and half-the-cost Workers are granted to you at the beginning of the following turn. Death: -If a player loses all of their territories, any player may offer to take in that lost player as an 'ally'. The person who allows the dead player to take up refuge in their nation automatically gains 200 workers. They are only allowed to take their turn every 2nd turn. The player they took in takes all the other turns. -The revived player may cause a civil war and take half the host's warriors and half their territories and all their technology. If the host had an odd number of territories, the host keeps the additional one. -If nobody will take you in, you're dead. Too bad, so sad. Surrender: -You may surrender and drop out, your territories will be returned to a natural state and all progress and territories will be gone. Missed turns: -We will not wait for you forever. If you take too long, or go on vacation or something, your workers will automatically be trained into defenders and distributed throughout your territory. Some Research may also be done. Victory Conditions: -You and/or your alliance controls the entire map. Any questions? Edited by OswaldTheShadowKnight, December 29, 2011, 4:10 pm.
