As the two women approached the bar, Tripp had to lean back to avoid being smacked in the face by the weapon of the heroine girl. Gathering up her stuff, she figured now was as good a time as any to slip out before more people came. She slid off the chair, only to find herself face to face with another woman. "Um.... hi," Tripp greeted her with a brief smile. "Sorry, let me get out of your way," she moved aside as she draped the satchel strap around her. -- "Sounds like a plan to me." Saluting Leo at the counter, Casimir sauntered after Ennis to the elevators. Stepping inside, he hummed a bit before looking over at the man. "So, looks like you've been doing well. Keeping busy? Mum says you were contracted by the Royal family. Batting in the big leagues these days, eh?" |

Leila chuckled with a light shrug, “Just be sure to keep on my good side, love.” She mused, nodding her head at her usual order. “You know the way it works. She finishes the water she gets her…weird ass drink.” She mused, looking over at Verena as she approached Tripp. Poor girl had been through enough, “Keep Elizabeth Báthory in line, we clear? Girl has been through enough tonight.” She added, glancing to Sin with a warning look. She’d turned the red-head into a rat more than once. Sin usually has a good lead on her, but she wasn’t risking the young girl she’d just begun to get to relax. She knew the bounty hunter’s reputation well, and was one of very few who could match her lack of fear and catapult over it. Leila handed Sin her Guinness, “You know your skills could be used in much better ways…” she added with a half shrug as she wiped down a wine glass in preparation of Verena’s experiment. She saw these…laundry errands this family had her running. Granted, Verena only listened to her and her alone, but it didn’t mean she should be shackled to the looney forever. Hah…she was one to talk about mental stability. A small smirk appeared on her black lips as she spoke again, “So what exactly has the bounty hunter extraordinaire been up to?” |

At Leila's little nickname for Verena, Sin let out a hoarse laugh as she took the Guinness with a grateful sip. "Eh, she won't dare try anything- she knows what will happen if she does. We all know how good your rat transfiguration spell is." She smirked with a tilt of her bottle in the pretty bartender's direction before glancing over at Verena as she talked to the little mousy girl, making sure to keep an eye on her even still. Not that she had to worry, Remy was also keep an close eye on the conversation. Luckily Remy was one of the very few men that Verena didn't automatically go crazy on or try to kill. It was probably the Cajun's laid back personality that calmed the crazy woman. Shrugging her shoulders as Leila spoke about her babysitting Verena. "I honestly don't mind. That girl needs somebody. She may be whacked in the head but being locked away forever isn't the kind of life I'd want for anybody I think. Besides, it pays pretty damn well." It was all she commented on the subject before snorting. "You missed the guy I had to chase down last week. Idiot thought it was a good idea sell black market tech and keep the pay instead of handing it over to his boss. He didn't even leave town, he just tried to fence what he stole to the same damned fences he used before. I swear to you they're getting dumber as time goes on. Man I crave a good challenge. Somebody I can really sink my fists into. So how's things here? Anybody interesting come through?" She conversed easily. For the most part, she liked Leila. They didn't always see eye to eye (both were too stubborn and similar at times for that) she appreciated the girl for always being upfront and honest. What you saw was what you got with Leila. She could appreciate that. "Oh no! You are perfectly fine." Verena nodded her head with another smile that lit up her whole face. "I'm Verena, who are you?" She introduced herself with a small giggle as she rocked on her feet a little. She shouldn't leave so soon, she just wanted to talk to her! |

Oh dear lord. This kid was going to drive him up a wall. He was chatty like this during cleanups too. He didn’t quite seem to understand that the less he knew, the better. He kept his eyes on the floors as the numbers lit up. He purposefully let an uncomfortable amount of time pass before he spoke again. “You can say that.” He said simply, leading the blabbermouth out onto the 5th floor and down the corridor. “Any particular reason you’re out here looking for a place? Quite a drive from the capital district…” He added, leaning down to flip up the mat to get the spare key the realtor left behind. Careless, really. |

For most people, meeting three new people in a single day wasn't a big deal - sort of like raindrops in a bucket. But for Tripp, it was starting to get a little overwhelming. Leila's advice to just relax was totally out the window and all she wanted to do was go back to her dinky, ugly dorm room and paint. But...she was nothing if not well mannered. Her mother and father had made sure of that. So, offering the woman in front of her a small smile, she nodded. "Hi Verena. I'm uh, I'm Tripp." The girl had an unusually intense gaze that made Tripp uncomfortable, but she was trying her best to make eye contact. Her discomfort showed itself, not through her expressions, but through the way she kept adjusting and wringing the strap of her bag. --- Casimir didn't miss the intended silence, but it didn't offend him. It actually just amused him. Serious people were so much fun annoy, simply because it was so easy. "Ah well, you know. I'm an investor. I invest in things. Real estate isn't my strong suit, but I've a knack for knowing when neighborhoods are about to get popular. I like to get in on the ground floor. Besides, if this viewing goes well, I may consider buying the building. There's never a shortage of people looking for somewhere to live in a city this size, eh?" He grinned at Ennis, enjoying the irritation that was literally pouring off the man. "Anyways, so let's see this place. I've got a date in an hour, so need to make this quick so I'm not late on the drive back." He slid his hands back into his pockets and waited for Ennis to open the apartment up so he could he view it. |

Leila gave Sin a look when she said not to worry about Verena. “I just don’t exactly want that girl on her radar should her, very cushy, lock-up lose track…again. You feel for the girl, love, but some…” She shook her head as she made herself another smoking drink, this one more smoke than booze. Had to keep something of a mind about her goddess forbid they actually get a traction of his people. She chuckled as she listened to Sin’s stories, they always amused her. “Trust me, I know about the stupidity in the shadows.” She thought over the bounty hunter’s question, “Nothin’ too out of sorts for here. I mean….I also have a high bar for what’s strange.” She smirked with a shrug, letting the smoke stream out of her nose like a dragon once more as she thought it over. “Well, unless you call having a Graves sighting…” She finally admitted, a dangerous spark in her bright green eyes. She was keeping an ear on the other conversation as well. While she trusted Rem to keep things in line, she was still wary. ---------------- Ennis opened the door and led him in, letting the door close behind them. Dear gods help him if this twat bought his building. Or worse, lived here. “Well take a look around. Most of the apartments here look about the same, so I can answer most questions.” He mentioned absently. He let the twit wander around, leaning against the door as he waited. Dick was one of the worst entitled brats he’d come across in his line of work. His sister was ever so slightly more tolerable. Just as spoiled as her brother, but a hair more grounded. It wasn’t much, given the shit storms he’d cleaned up for the family in general. He always found the closeness of the siblings a little…offsetting, to say the least. He held in a snort as Casimir brought up this date like he gave a shit. Maybe the little bitch was the reason he was even looking at this place. Douche looked like the type to pay for the rent of his various hookups. Edited by RiddleMeThis396, Nov 16 2016, 04:25 AM.

"She won't, trust me. I'll make sure of it." Sin assured Leila on the matter as she waved the matter away with her beer. She watched in slight, hidden amusement as the woman had fun with her smokey drink, always found it be slightly fascinating. She'd never try it herself, but it was fun to watch. She quieted down once Leila started to talk about the things she had seen. As she mentioned a Graves sighting, she quirked her eyebrow. "On this side of town? What for?" She asked curiously. Anybody who was anybody knew who Graves was and if you were smart, you made a wide berth around him. He was never somebody you wanted to be associated with. Of course, that was if he even got of his damned high horse and even noticed that you existed. To be honest, she wasn't all that impressed with him. Verena giggled, seeming to notice any of Tripp's signs of discomfort as she continued to rock back and forth on the balls of her feet. "Hello Tripp! Are you new around here? I've never seen you here before." She commented in a happy tone. "Rena! Drink your water." She heard Sin snap and she reached over for the glass and began to drink it like Sin had asked of her. She knew that if she drank the boring water she would get her drink then. She sighed just thinking about it. She loved red. |

Leila shrugged idly, twisting a ring around her finger boredly. The ring itself stood out in its plainness, and there was a rather bloody reason for that. “Word is that he’s working for the royal family…goddess only knows what kind of errands they have him running over here.” She mused, not minding Graves overly much. As long as he stayed out of her other…businesses, she wouldn’t turn him into a flea. It was a beneficial arrangement. “Probably one of the royal douchebags getting into trouble. We all know they didn’t turn into angels overnight. Don’t know who those people think they’re kidding.” She let out a snort then, “You know, they had someone ask me if I could bartend the gala tonight?! Me…up in capital city…Psshhh…” Leila looked highly amused at the thought. She’d made something of a reputation for herself in the bar scene, but had obviously turned the offer down. Last she needed was royals bitching all night about their wine. |

"Eugh, royals." Sin rolled her eyes, making a gagging noise before snickering and straightening up again as she sipped at her beer, looking over briefly to make sure Verena was drinking her water. Once satisfied, she turned back to Leila and quirking an eyebrow. "You belong up there with the hoity toity's about as much as I do." She drawled as she took a sip of her beer. "Let's face it, we know you got the skills. Personality? Not so much. Although I'd pay to see you hex one of those spoiled bitches the moment they tried something stupid." Her smirk just then was downright evil. |

"Who says I haven't?" Leila mused, her tone innocent enough but her smirk told another story. Besides, she never really knew where her hex bags ended up. Okay, and maybe she'd spiked a bitch's drink to make her sound like a toad for a week once...she shouldn't have insulted Remy. "I will never comprehend those people. I mean, it has GOT to hurt to walk around with a stick lodged THAT far up ones ass." She added absently, knowing full well they were ironically some of her best clients. Through third parties usually but it wasn't hard to connect the dots. "And bitch please my personality is delightful and you damn well know it." Though she cracked up by the end, unable to hold a serious face if she tried. She was a delightful, even amusing little sprite on first glance.... |
