"Hmmm, shady familial mention but no follow through. I'll remember that." Casimir leaned back and tapped his noggin before taking the sword and inspecting it a little closer. He grasped the hilt and pulled it out just a notch, enough to see the cool metal of the blade. "You should clean up that story a bit," he offered, pushing the blade back into the sheath. It was too tight in here to whip the blade out and he didn't really want their already-nervous driver to have a melt down. "Tell people you had to single-handedly fend off a small army of fanged pixies or something." He leaned the sword back on the seat. "You really need to sell that bad and beautiful thing you got going on, mm?" He smirked at her blinking as the cab began to slow - there wasn't much traffic on the late night streets. "Fey Walk," the driver said gruffly. Casimir leaned forward, struggling to pull his wallet out of the pocket of his wet slacks. "Here you go.... and uh, take the lady wherever. Should cover it twice over, my man." He patted the driver's shoulder before turning to face Sin with a crooked smile. |

"Hm... a secret? One dat will probably make ol' Remy mad, yea?" Remy asked her, quirking his eyebrow up slightly as he stepped closer to her, placing his hands on her waist and sliding them around until they were placed on her lower back as he pulled her closer. "But alright, cher. You got my attention. I promise ya not to get mad, I won't. What you wanna tell me now?" He asked her, his thumb brushing across her spine lightly. - "Remember that? You make it act as if we'll meet again. You really think that?" Ambrosine asked Casimir with a smirk as she watched him study her sword. She could see that he was curious and wanted to no more but this wasn't really the time or place. She opened her mouth to argue with him about the story, going to say more before the taxi driver announced their destination. Clamming her mouth shut, she watched as he paid for his fare and then hers. "You didn't have to do that you know, I can pay for my own fare." She told him, not quite sure what was supposed to come next. |

"Eh.... who's to say we won't? Big city, but...surprisingly small at times." Casimir told her as he pushed open his door. "Besides... you're going to have to pay me back for the cab fare sometime." He quirked an eyebrow quickly at her before climbing out and shutting the door behind him. As the door shut, the cabbie seemed to be satisfied with the amount of money given to him and glanced at Sin in the rearview. "Where to?" |

Sin looked like she wanted to argue over the money that Casimir had paid. And as he got the last word as he exited the cab, it really bugged her. Stupid handsome rich boy. Scowling, she looked down at her sword then over the cabbie, seeming to take a while to try and function things in her drunk brain. What did he mean pay him back?! Huffing, she grabbed her sword and opened the door. "Don't worry about it. Have a nice night." She told the cabbie before slamming the door shut and following Casimir. "What do you mean pay you back? And do you even live anywhere near here?" She asked him as she slung her sword back around her back to where it belonged once more. |

Casimir had already made it over to the sidewalk, but when he heard the cab door slam, he paused and looked over with a laugh as Sin stalked over toward him. "I..could be wrong, but I think you were supposed to stay in the cab and let the nice, scared man drive you home," he said, pausing as he shrugged. "A few blocks over, but it's a nice night." He gestured to the rain that had softened still to a gentle shower. He suddenly grinned as he slid his hands into his pockets. "Well...considering you just lost your ride," He nodded as the cab's red taillighs faded back down the hill toward the city proper, "Why don't you walk me home? Keep me safe in this scary neighborhood? You are, after all, well armed and I'm just a poor, helpless little rich boy." |

Leila slowly rose her eyes to his, letting a small smile flicker onto her lips as she felt his thumb brush against her lower back. "I didn't...exactly find a replacement of my Danu statuette." She mused, running her hands along the collar of his shirt as her nails dragged along his skin. "I may have found a mending spell...a day or two after ye broke her." She admited, biting her bottom lip as she looked up at him, obvious amusement dancing in her bright green eyes. Basically he'd puppy dog eyed, brown nosed, and suckered his way back for just over a week...when it had been fixed for nearly all of that time. Ehhh...what could she say? She loved his pining almost as much as his cocky cajun attitude. Plus, she was miffed at him.... |

"Eh, I can just call another or walk home or whatever. It's no big deal." Sin waved his words away, not particularly concerned with that at the moment. One step at a time was all she could manage at the moment. As he talked to her about walking him home and protecting him, she snorted before outright laughing. "Let me get this straight when I threatened to kick your ass back at the bar if you didn't behave you told me that you could take care of yourself. But now you're telling me you're a poor, helpless little rich boy? You need to make up your mind." She told him, poking him in the shoulder as she finally caught up with him. She didn't seem to mind the soft drizzle, in reality the rain seemed to bring an extra light to her eyes, making them seem even lighter and warmer than ever. Or.... once more that could be the drink. Who knew? - Remy was silent for a while as he let that sink in, forcing his mind to work extra in its drunk state as he realized just WHAT it was she was telling him. "You sure do you like being a little peekon ((thorn in his side)), yea bebe?" He asked her as he didn't get made like he had promised her he wouldn't. He was still miffed though. All that time! And she just played him for a right coo-yon. "Now that's just not cool, yea? What we goan do about dat?" |

"TECHNICALLY," He reached over to brush off the spot she'd just poked. "I said that you might be surprised.... I didn't say anything about being able to take care of myself. Don't read too much between the lines - I'm male, flaky, and vapid. Why would I ever bother trying to hide behind false words? That's too much brain power for me." He winked over at her, reaching up to push the wet strands back off his face again. "So what do you say? A couple blocks, make sure I get home safe?" He smirked at her, nudging her a bit with his elbow as they walked along the lovely street. It was quiet up here - they were on one of the many hills just outside of downtown and from this particular spot, they had a stunning view of the entirety of the glowing city down below. There weren't buildings or apartments up here, but nouveau-riche homes all pushed as close together as possible while trying to maintain some semblance of private property. There were more trees and greenspace up here, though the city itself was well known for it's commitment to keeping the natural beauty of the forest around them as intact as population would allow. ((This is kind of the view I'm seeing in my brain! only you know, at night. But this distance and the trees and all that nonsense! http://www.starteacherschina.com/upload/Shandong4.jpg )) |

Not able to help herself, Sin laughed at his words as she rolled her eyes. "Remember you said it it and not me. Usually that's my job you know." She teased him before shrugging her shoulders. "Well... might as well. SOMEBODY has to protect you from all of the big bad evil things around here. As you can tell, the streets are teeming with them." She couldn't help but taunt him as she waved her hand across the street before finally looking at the view across the way. Wow... "So this is where all the rich snobby boys like you live. Fancy view you got here." She commented as she moved her eyes away from the view finally and brought them back to Casimir as she wiped her hand over her face to remove some of the rain so she could see better. Not that it really helped even with the street lamps. The drink impeded her vision too much. |

"Mmm, it's not bad," Casimir agreed with a light shrug, "But I'm not sure I understand why all us rich people like looking down at everyone else. I guess it makes us feel powerful.... Fortunately, that's not my view. MY view is two blocks that way," he gestured away from the city. "More trees, more houses, more space between houses. Even I can't afford these places," he explained, glancing up at one of the over-the-top houses they were passing, complete with an attached 'tower' and shaking his head. "So what about you, where do you live? I mean... we've already determined that you're the poor girl and I'm the rich boy so I have this vision of a nice cardboard box but... I could be wrong," he taunted with another smirk. |
