Asta looked over as Randon spoke up and shook her head. "He's just trying to cheer me up." She replied quietly. "It's not working, but .trying to smile for him anyways. Don't really feell like smiling." She admitted to him.

Milli gave him a small smile as he finally answered, giving him a small shrug. "Curiousity. Place for conversation. Either way when we agreed on Vallonde you'd mentioned the fact that your grandparents were there and might help us. I was just curious about what they're like." She mused, hoping he wouldn't just end the conversation after this though.

Randon nodded, "Missin' Farron, are we?" He asked simply enough but his voice told that he knew the answer. "It will be a hard adjuatment but its something to accept, unfortunately." He added gently, speaking from his own experience. He'd sworn to her family he'd keep her safe after all...

"What?" Asta blinked as she looked over at Randon, the man seeming to snapping her out of whatever funk she had been in. "No, I wasn't." Asta was many things, but a great liar was not one of them. "I was just... thinking..."

Randon quirked his eyebrow, "Theya is no shame in missin' someone, lass..." He mused simply, knowing she wasn't the best liar. Hell, reading people was kind of his specialty. He wouldn't call her out just yet though.

Asta made a face as Randon talked about missing people. "I'm not missing anybody. She's the one who decided to leave. She has family to go see and take care of." She pointed out to him as she looked over at him briefly before back down at Camulus. She picked at his mane as she held it in her hands lazily as they traveled forward towards the coast. "It's pointless to miss people anyways." She informed him quietly. "Stupid actually." She picked at the stallion's mane with more intensity and interest as she spoke.

"I do think they'll help us," Alek offered with a shrug. "Even if they haven't seen me since I was a boy. They always left the option open for Marek and myself... I don't suspect it's changed much." He looked over at her for a moment before looking back forward. "So... the road is pretty straight forward, but... I've been studying the map and I want to take a round-about way. I'm not comfortable on the main road between Beyfield and Vallonde. Too much can happen and the chances of someone recognizing you are higher. THe round-about will put us one day behind schedule, but we'll make it in plenty of time."

"It ain't stupid, lass. Its a natural feelin." Randon shrugged, wondering what was eating at he . "Trust me, lass, she didn't make that decision lightly." He added, "Thing now is to look to the future. Ye will like the next stop, lass."

Millicent nodded with a smile, "Good. I think it will be interesting to meet another section of your family." She mused, nodding once more as he continued. "Yeah, I think sticking to the back paths are better." She admitted, feeling a wave of guilt fade over her. She knew she was a rather big risk. She wasn't only royalty but also magic. She went to say more, but something caught her attention in the corner of her eye. Hmmm....

"There's a crossroad just up a few miles, I believe," Alek informed her as he nudged Grey along - the horse wanted to constantly graze on the grasses at the side of the path. His eyes were focused forward as they plodded along, only glancing back once in a while to make sure the others were on their tails.

It took Millicent a few moments before answering, sounding distracted when she did so. "Oh, okay...just, lead the way..." She mused, shaking herself a little bit out of the haze. She knew she'd seen something on the edge of the woods but her eyes couldn't find it again. Maybe she was more tired than she'd realized?
