Farron offered a small smile at the young woman as she sat. "Want it or not, dear, Beryl'll give it to you. She gave our dear Traveler here twice what she gave me," she said as she cut a slice of potato. "By the way, lovely change of attire... you look positively fierce. You're more daring than I...but then again, I've always loathed corsets. I never understood why restricting breathing, a necessary function for life as we know it, was a good idea. Randon, come sit," she said, patting the empty chair beside her.

With Randon and Asta all they needed was the guardsman, whom she was exceptionally surprised not to see trailing the princess like the shadow he was.

Milli smiled at Farron, her cheeks pink, "Thank you...but this isn't of my choosing. I didn't get to pack all of my clothing." She admitted, laughing softly at her comments about the corset. "When you grow up in them you learn to deal." She added with a small shrug, looking up as the others joined them.

Randon chuckled lightly, sitting between Milli and Farron at the table. "Smells delicious, and I'm glad to see ye doin' betta. No guard dog tonight?"

She shook her head with a small smile, "Thank you. Alek should be down soon enough. I'm hoping, however, that his body finally gave in to exhaustion though." She admitted with a small shrug.

"Well then, let's certainly hope he gets his rest." Aleron declared as he took a sip of his mead, smacking at Asta's hand as she tried to sneak another piece of chicken. "Seriously! Your own food is coming soon enough. Be patient!" He said as she pouted at him.

Asta's impatience wasn't tried very long before Beryl, the kindly old woman, appeared with her arms full of plates piled several inches high of food. Her husband trailed her, expertly holding several mugs of the honey mead. As Beryl set them down in front of each of their respective owners, she smiled and the husband followed with a mug. They obviously had been doing this for some time. Neither interrupted the conversation nor said much of anything save "Enjoy," after all the plates were set.

Farron nodded and smiled her thanks as they scurried off to the kitchen. The little group was alone at the Inn tonight, not a bad thing really. The dining hall had a warm fire glowing and was dimmer than than the usual tavern, much more homey.

"So we've made it this far. I'd like t'make a brief toast here, if I may," Farron said as she reached for her mug. "T'good health," she looked to Milli, "New friends, and unfortunate old ones. Our paths crossing was a lucky stroke, hm?"

Asta beamed happily as the food was brought out, rubbing her hands together eagerly. "It smells so good." She groaned. She thanked the sweet older women before digging in, not bothering to talk to anybody.

Aleron brought his mug up for Farron's toast and smiled. "And to safe travels to come." He felt the need to add on. "But to good health, new friends, and old ones." He repeated after her as he smiled at her.

Randon made a face at Faron's words but lifted his mug up as well as Milli did the same. "To new friends, to old, to safe travels and health. And to a taste of freedom long needed." She added in her normal soft voice, wondering if she could convince the woman to bring her water rather than mead. Normally she would've let herself nearly drown in the drink but she didn't know if her stomach could handle it.

"Aye, ye said it all." Randon simply agreed with a chuckle, watching Asta demolish her food out of the corner of his eye.

Farron agreed and toasted, taking a drink of her mead before raising an eyebrow at Asta's very literal digging into the food. "...Asta... maybe you should chew a few times before moving onto the next bite," she suggested with a light smirk. "I'm afraid you're not actually even tasting it and that, sweet, would be a true loss. It's fantastic," she assured everyone as she took a few more bites of her own.

Asta slowly paused as she turned to see that everybody was watching her eat. Her tan cheeks turned a bright shade of red as she chewed her bite and swallowed it. "I AM tasting it." She declared quietly. Aleron just chuckled before shaking his head and looking towards the others. "Well anyways, I just want to say that I'm glad to have met all of you." His eyes darted over to Farron briefly before back towards Millicent and Randon. "And I hope that we meet each other again soon."

((Ahhhh Serlock Holmes....Sooo happy right now, haha))

Milli smiled, setting her mead down for the moment, though, as she quietly took small bites of her food. Farron was right, it was delicious, she just hoped her lack of appetite wouldn't be an insult to the younger elder couple.

She saw the look Aleron shot Farron, biting back a giggle before speaking then. "Where are ye thinking of continuing to then?" She asked Farron simply, wondering if Aleron had been filled in on Alek's plan.

"Ahh unless Farron has made arrangements I'm not aware of, Vallonde is the next stop." He mused after he swallowed a hunk of chicken as he saw the surprise in her eyes. "Yes, lass?"

"Oh, I was just thinking I'll have to put up with ye a little longer."

Randon blinked, realizing the quiet princess was teasing him before letting out a laugh, "Well bloody hell then..." He looked to Aleron, "and there ye ah, actin like ye leavin' us, well, I suppose its Farron more than us." He mused, popping a piece of potato in his mouth.

"Don't think she was talking t'yeh, rude," Farron chastised Randon before smirking at Milli's taunt. She was starting to grow fond of the onion princess; just when you thought she was one thing, another layer peeled back and there was another side of her. Mostly because she seemed pleasantly immune to Randon's charms and that always made Farron happy.

"How's that now, boy?" Farron asked Randon with an arch of her brow. "Yeh have plans t'abandon me as well now?" She reached over and flicked him in the head lightly before turning back to the princess.

"Aye, it's Vallonde for us. The Endless City can house us for quite a while until we decide what the overall plan is. I'm afraid our status at home isn't subject t'change any time soon." Farron's smile dipped down to a straight line as she thought back to the horrors of the murders just before they'd left. That image was still burned into her mind, the symbol drawn in blood on the walls and door. She had a mind to figure that out as soon as they were safe beyond Vallonde's massive walls.
