Randon quirked an eyebrow at her answer, "Last I checked doin' nothing doesn't set hay on fire." He teased her lightly, giving a laugh as she wrinkled her nose. "Oye, lass, ye can't be that blind. Last time I checked on those accounts as well Farron happens te be a single lass, ye brotha a single lad...." He spelled out for her, wondering if she'd get the hint. |

The surprise appeared on Alek's determined face almost too quickly for him to suppress it. He blinked a few times, and on the last time she was gone from his view and already over at the door. He looked over to her and nodded slowly. "I.... I am hungry. I'll... meet you down there," he said, awkward pauses placed between his words. "I want to..." He gestured ambiguously at his pack, presumably meaning he wanted to change his clothes, but it was hard to decipher at the moment. - Farron glanced up mid-bite of bread as Aleron appeared and sat himself down at her table. She sort of sat for a moment, her mother's harsh reminders to eat like a lady coming to mind....before she washed them away with a deep drink of her mead. "Like it was baked by the hands of divinity," she said once her mouth was clear of food. Aleron was barely given a few seconds before the elderly innkeep, a pleasant looking woman with white hair tied into a bun and a kind smile, came bustling over and placed a plate piled twice as high as Farron's and a mug of the honey mead in front of him. "For you, m'lord," she said with a smile before bustling off back into the kitchens. Farron watched her for a beat before poking her chicken with her fork to take a bite. "She called me "m'lady". I tried to explain but.... it's no use." |

"I was... simply getting comfortable. Needed the candle to see so I could find a good place to sleep." Asta informed him, not thinking of how weird Randon would think of her sleeping in the stables instead of the perfectly good bed in the room with Aleron. As Randon explained to her, she scowled lightly, her cheeks turning pink as she figured it out. "Why on Earth would she be interested in Aleron?!" She demanded, finding this mind boggling. She just couldn't imagine Aleron flirting or seeing anybody. Nope! Not possible! - "I think I just got more excited if possible." He mused, looking over as the woman came by to drop a mug of mead and plate piled high with food. He stared at the large amount, thinking that there was no possible way he was going to eat it all. Maybe if he was Asta, but not him. "Thank you." was all he was able to get out as he stared. "Might as well let her if it makes her happy." He told Farron with a shrug. "Does she think I'm too skinny or something? That is a lot of food!" He choked out, still staring. |

Millicent tilted her head slightly, confused at first until he gestured to his pack. "Ahh. Alright. Ummm...I'll see you down there then." She told him with a simple smile, looking like she wanted to say something else but she left instead. She leaned back against the door with wide eyes. Was she nuts?! That was Alek she just kissed. Stoic, dependable, honest, trustworthy, cute Alek. Well....kissed on the cheek. And that was totally different. Right? But then why did it feel so lackluster. She silently groaned, pushing off the door before beginning down the stairs. She needed her brain to shut off for a few moments. She did take some solice in the fact this was the first time Alek had truly let her out of his sight. She also took solice that the inn was so quiet. It would be an interesting night for sure... |

"You're an odd traveler. Most would kill for accommodations such as ours and ye gonna sleep in the hay?" Randon asked, plucking a piece of hair from her hair as if to prove his point. He laughed, though, at her reaction. "Farron has odd taste but he can't tell me in all ye travels togetha he's never once held...companionship with a lass." He mused, thinking he'd be bored out of his wit. All that traveling and not one lass te speak of? Poppy. |

"Sleep in a bed that hundreds of others have? And have... done things in? That's disgusting!" Asta declared as she stared up and over at Randon in horror. "What if I get bugs or worst?! No thank you, I'll stick to my clean stables." She informed him, making another face as he helped pull more straw out of her hair. "And no... not that I think about it! I've never once seen him with a girl! I'm sure he's had them... Goddess knows why they'd agree to BE with him, but yea..." She trailed off as she scratched the back of her head awkwardly, tripping over her own feet once before catching herself. |

"Ye know, with some inns I'd agree with ye, lass, but this one I'd have to say ye ah crazy." Randon told her with a simple nod, "Rooms are gorgeously kept and think of it this way, the princess has no issue with it." He reasoned, chuckling as she made a face at the thought of a girl showing interest in her cousin. "Oye maybe ye can ask Farron since she seems so fond..." He teased as he held the door open for her. Honestly, as long as they weren't some asshat, scumbag he really didn't right care who Farron fancied. |

Farron reached over and speared some of his chicken with a smile. "I'll help yeh. I spent too many a night hungry to let anything go to waste. Worry not, traveler, yer plate'll be clean sooner rather than later," she assured him with a small, wry smile as she popped the stolen chicken into her mouth. Her eyes wandered past the handsome traveler to see another of their companions arriving for dinner...and then over to the front door to see more. The princess was ambling down the stairs looking a bit flushed and Randon had actually done as asked and found Asta. "Over here," she called generically, assuming all of them would hear her and make their way over. She stood and pulled another chair to the table for the princess, whom she hadn't been expecting but was pleasantly surprised to find joining them. - Alek sighed as the door closed and Millicent left. He scrubbed both hands through his hair and dragged them down his face. He was mentally cursing himself, cursing his mouth, his brain, and the princess, though he was only cursing her lightly. He'd just made a promise, a promise that whether or not she'd paid attention, was one he was not going to break. He'd just assured her he'd protect her...and continue protecting her no matter what. There was no leaving now. Walking over to the wash basin, he leaned forward on it as he looked into the oval mirror perched on the wall behind it. He looked...terrible. Dark circles under his eyes, sallow skin, his hair looked like he hadn't washed in in years, there was dirt that seemed etched into his skin, and on top of it all, his light colored facial hair was making it's presence very known. He pulled his shirt off and dipped his hands into the water, throwing it over his face, back, shoulders, and chest. He'd likely take a full bath in the morn, but for now this would have to work. The water was room temperature, neither cold nor warm, but it felt good against his skin. After a quick wash, he soaked his hair and walked over to his pack against the wall. He sat down in the chair and kicked off his boots, intending to change his socks. He let go of a deep sigh and leaned back for a moment, his head against the wall... He just wanted to sit here a moment... |

Millicent gave Farron a small smile as she was called over, her shoes clicking against the floor. She'd also slipped the small ring back through her nose, something her mother insisted she never wear at events or when others visited. With her hair pulled back, they could also see that her ears had a lot more piercings than could be perceived through the red mass she called hair. She definitely didn't like the princess they'd expect, even if she looked a bit pale currently. She sat down, blinking at the rich portion sizes, "Goddess...I definitely don't need that much food.." She said softly, twisting a stud in her ear out of nervous habit. She knew her stomach couldn't handle it. |

"You have no idea how many people have slept in those things!" Asta argued with another shudder. She walked through the door with him, noticing Aleron sitting with Farron. "I don't understand that. Farron seems like she's really smart! I'd pick somebody other than Aleron." Her nose wrinkled as she walked over to join everyone at the table, She plopped down next to Aleron and stole a piece of his chicken as her cousin shook his head in response. |
