The stranger swept into a courteous bow and came up with a smile. "T'is all but mine own pleasure, friend of my friends. It brings me good thoughts to know that me knowledge is naught for waste. Ye shouldn't idle here, friend, as your need be no less than it was aforehand? Your companion already be aloft his willing steed and impatiently at that." He walked up to Roisin, who was smiling at Aleron, and placed his hand on her shoulder. He dwarfed the tiny girl even more. "Until next we meet."

Aleron nodded as he gave them one last bow. "Until next we meet." He repeated the man's bidding of farewell before turning and heading out the door after Alek. Once he caught up to him and their horses, he mounted his stallion, and nodded his head. "Alright, let's go." He said as he began to head out with the guardsman.

Asta just felt her frown deepening as she listened to Millicent's words. Royalty and Nobility were a lot less glamorous than the books ever suggested them being. In fact, she was pretty sure the books were beginning to have it all wrong. "Well... that's really dumb! If I were to marry someone off, I would want them to marry a kind person! Not someone who has no care for anybody but their self. None of it makes any sense." She said finally with a sigh. "I don't think I really want to be a princess anymore. Not that, you know, I'd make a good one. I HATE wearing dresses." She informed Millicent with a nod.

Millicent nodded, "There are pros and cons...but people have a lot of romanticized ideas of what being royalty is. I wasn't allowed to go anywhere without someone knowing. I was stuck learning languages, sewing and music so I'd fetch the best dowry and match. I was actually about to be married off to an idiotic whorseon knave of a prince when I left. I'm also 90% sure he was in dealings with me step-father to get me out of the picture." She told them with a simple shrug.

She paused, giving Asta a small smile, though, as she continued. "There were upsides though. I'm not a huge fan of ballgowns myself but for special occasions they were a lot of fun. As long as the occasion wasn't about me, that is." She amended, starting to sound really tired once more. She was leaning more heavily against Randon but she knew she had to stay awake.

Alek nodded, glancing once more at the shop and it's inhabitants before turning Grey and nudging him into a trot toward the exit of the city. He just wanted this over and done with so they could relax for a day or two....

Asta listened with rapt attention, her eyes glued onto Millicent. "It still doesn't sound like fun or my kind of thing. And I suck at sewing, languages, and music." She admitted to the princess. "Maybe I'll just leave the whole princess thing to you. You seem to be pretty good at it." She told her with a shy smile.

Aleron just followed after Alek, hoping that they would indeed get back to Millicent in time. They were extremely fortuitous in finding somebody willing to serve them at this time of night and having all of the ingredients they needed for the antidote. The Spirits must be watching over them this night. He only prayed now that they gave them God speed back to the princess.

Milli gave a weak laugh, "Really? I think I'm a pretty horrendous princess to be quite honest." She told Asta honestly but she sounded amused more than anything. Her eyelids fluttered, letting out a light groan of protest as Randon nudged her back awake.

"They'll be back soon, Milli. Just a lil' longer, lass." He promised her, gesturing to Asta to keep going. He just prayed the boys got back in time...

As soon as Alek and Aleron arrived back to the camp, Alek completely cleared his mind of the odd situation back in the town. He didn't care any more who the stranger was, why he talked weird, or why that girl hadn't said a word. He put it all aside and instantly tended to Millicent.

She was in even worse of a way than when he'd left her but at least things were stable enough. He didn't come back to an empty campsite and that was all that really mattered. He gave her the medicine and slathered the salve over her wound, making sure she did nothing to hinder the process in any way. As expected, the liquid she had to drink made her even more tired and eventually she couldn't hold on to consciousness anymore. Assuming that was alright, Alek let her drift away so long as she promised to wake again. The promise was made blearily which left Alek to yet another sleepless night.

The majority of the next day was spent in camp, waiting for the reawakening of the princess from her sleep. Alek had already decided on an inn that was on the outermost Ring of the village, one tucked between a tailor and stables. It was quiet, quaint, and out the of the way. There were no rowdy parties or patrons - it was run by a kind elderly couple who insisted on as much quiet as possible which made it the last destination anyone looking for a good time would come to. He informed the others that they were free to choose their own places as it wasn't entirely necessary for them all to pile into one Inn.

Nevertheless, once Millicent was cognizant enough to climb onto Nightshade's back with Alek's strong arms keeping her steady, they rode into the village, Alek at the lead. He brought them to the inn just as the sun was dipping low yet again, drawing another day to close.

He guided Nightshade, and subsequently all the others, to the stables beside the inn and they left the horses to a kindly middle aged man to tend.

Ecstatic about the visitors, the elderly couple that ran the inn gave them all the best rooms facing out to the Rings of the city and even gave them a discount. Apparently being a quiet Inn didn't do as well as the others.

And so they were led to their rooms : Millicent's was the furthest from the stairwell (per Alek's request) and the others were spread along the floor. The inn had a total of ten rooms, not small by many standards, which Alek didn't mind. It meant none of them were immediately next door which gave him a bit more comfort than he was readily willing to say to any of them. Trust was still not an easy thing to come by.

Alek held Millicent back while he swept the room, checking for anything and everything before coming back out with a nod. "It's safe, my lady," he declared as he glanced at the others piling into their rooms. Farron was closest to the stairs and had elected to share with Randon to save coin, not seeming to mind they were of two opposite genders.

Aleron and Asta's room was closer, only three doors down, though oddly the blonde girl was no where to be seen as Aleron walked into his own room.

After Aleron and Alek had returned with the antidote for Millicent, things had been just the slightest bit tense. They were all eager to leave and head towards Beyfield where it was currently safe for them from the royal witch hunts.

Aleron had rode near Millicent and Alek the whole time, being close in hand just in case something would happen in the short trip to find an inn. Even though Millicent seemed to be doing better, he still wasn't quite sure everything was right. And he wanted to make sure that nothing else went wrong. He allowed Alek to order them rooms at the inn, not bothering in saying anything as they said Asta and him would share a room. He was used to the young girl's odd quirks, and had no issues with sleeping in a room alone.

Walking into his room with a sigh, he dropped his pack and Asta's down (he always seemed to have to carry hers) before walking over and sitting on the bed. He rubbed his face with his hands as he bit back his yawn. He was exhausted; it had been a long couple of days and he was ready for a full night's sleep.

After coming to the inn, Asta had made herself scarce, and melted away from the little group. As always, she made her way to the stables, going to check up on the horses and make sure they were left in good condition. If there was one thing she couldn't abide, it was poor stables. She'd never let Camulus stay in a dingy, leaky stall if she could help it. Once she was satisfied with the conditions and that the horses were doing fine and were well fed, she grabbed her bed roll and climbed up into the hay loft of the barn. Snuggling into some nice, warm hay, she unrolled her bed roll, lit her candle and pulled out her book to get comfy for the night and ready for bed.

Millicent was still a little groggy when they arrived at the inn, but conscious enough to not draw any attention to the group. She waved to the others as they entered their rooms as she waited by the door for Alek to finish up. She blinked as he spoke up, giving him a small smile as she walked in. She'd focus on trying to get him to quit with the titles later on.

"Thanks..." She mused, arms crossed loosely under her chest as she looked around at the room. It was really nice for a small inn. Well taken care of and so quiet. It was a lovely change. "I'm going to take advantage and draw a bath...Do ye need the lavatory or.." She asked him, turning a bit pink. She still believed firmly that sharing a room with him was the best option but sh couldn't help but be a bit awkward.

-----

Randon happily flopped down face first into the bed. "Ayee...I missed ye...." He sighed happily, his voice muffled by the comforter on the mattress. Maybe a nap before dinner.. a nap on a real mattress.

Alek shook his head, "No, I'm fine. You should rest." He stood a moment at the doorway. "I'll be just outside... if you need me." He really didn't believe she'd need him to be in the room at the same time. "Are you hungry or do you need anything? The innkeep mentioned there was soap and such for washing near the basin..."

-

Farron smirked a bit and smacked him in the bottom of his boot as she passed him to the second bed. "We've barely been out long enough t'warrant such behavior, yeh spoiled thief. Don't get comfortable, we're eatin' dinner and you're goin' t'find Asta to tell her as much. Make yerself useful for a change."
