"Mmm... I've eliminated a lot but I haven't quite found what we're looking for. This is actually a much slower acting poison than most, but a lot of slow poisons have more drastic symptoms." Aleron answered Farron, still not moving his eyes away from the book. "The fact that it is clear and odorless helps, however. That's something very rare." |

Milli nodded, sitting on the side away from the puddle of vomit. She just buried her fingers into Kisha's fur, trying not to cry. It would only make things worse she imagined. Despite what he thought, Millicent found herself craving one of Alek's infamously lackluster reassurances. Nyss let out a grunt, slowly wiping at her face. "Oh ye immature..." She swiped her hands, freezing half of the flames solid. "Huh, not so funny, now, is it?" She scoffed, making a face at the unruly spirit. Oye...they haad te bring him along. |

"Hm...." Farron hummed as she pulled her waterskin and fresh cloth out of her bag for the princess. She put a hand on her hip as she looked around the campsite. A sick princess, a pink-haired and on edge Guard, a silent little horse whisperer, a cocky thief, the traveler, herself, and now two spirits. What a collaboration. "Here, Guardsman." She tossed her waterskin and the cloth over to him. "Go make yourself useful... don't worry, it seems our new friend is distracted by our fire." She wasn't sure Alek needed to know a magma Soul was lighting their world for them right now. "I'll help the traveler here bury down what th'poison could be and we'll rouse up a party t'go into the village t'the apothecary." Alek caught the waterskin, giving the blacksmith a particularly unkind look. He didn't like being told what to do , but somewhere within him, his rational side was in agreement that there was little that could be done until they found out what it was that was plaguing the princess. With a sigh, he walked over toward her, making a large arc between the little blue mosquito and himself. He stopped a few feet from Millicent and looked down at her. The bruises from his fight were already forming on his right cheek and his nose, which still had dried blood swiped across his cheek. "...I'm sorry," he started quietly. - Farron watched the guardsman do as she asked and put her hands on her hips. "Well, traveler, I won't bother yeh while yeh do your work. If need me I'll be readying the ponies for the trip. Is Asta around?" - ((I'm telling you, secret romance between nymph and Soul!!!!)) Pyr instantly engorged the flames as the ice touched him. The pool of magma spluttered and rumbled even more, sounding like boulders rubbing against one another. He used the flames to melt the ice, but even as they did, he hissed and shot more sparks aimed right at Nyss to shoo her away. |

Aleron wasn't paying too much attention to his surroundings, more focused on his rather large book than what was going on around him. However, he heard Farron speak to him and ask about Asta. "Last I saw her, she was with that demon she calls a horse eating her supper." He waved his hand off in that direction, eyes still glued to the book. "I'll come get you and the guardsman once I find something." He promised her before focusing on the book again. At the moment... Asta was not in the spot that Aleron had left her in. In fact, she wasn't even able to be spotted by anyone at the fire at all. She had taken Camulus once the fight had broken out between Randon and Alek and had disappeared over the knoll into a copse of woods. She just wanted some peace and quiet away from all of the jittery/nervous people. |

Millicent blinked as she heard Alek, looking over at him as she wiped at her face. She knew she looked like a wreck. Hell, at this point they both did. She knew she should be angry at him, at the very least annoyed, but she was too tired. "It...its alright." She told him, her voice hoarse as she spoke. Hell it burned but...what other option did she have? Kisha settled beside her, no longer seeming bothered by Alek's presence. "I know it is a lot to take in but...remember this is all relatively new to me too." She told him gently, giving him a weak smile. "Honestly? You're really the only thing stable..." Nyss chuckled as Pyr threw a tantrum, dodging his spray. "Mature, Pyr....really mature, love." She rolled her eyes with a sigh, looking around at the others before back to him. "And face it, ye pool of red goop, ye stuck with me." |

"Mm, let's not...talk about that." Alek bent down and poured some of the water onto the cloth and held it and the waterskin out. "I'm going to take someone into the city with me tonight, probably Aleron, and we're going to the apothecary. We can't wait any longer to assume this is going to get any better." He looked at out of the tops of his eyes as he plucked idly at some of the grass. "By this time tomorrow, we'll have you in a comfortable bed and on your way to mending." He paused and looked back down, picking more of the grass blades and tossing them. "I've...been thinking about what to do next." -- Farron wandered over to where Aleron had mentioned Asta would be and looked around, hands on her hips. No horse, no Asta... which probably meant she'd gone off. She then looked around for Randon, thinking maybe he'd know where she went off to.... - Pyr shot another spray of sparks at Nyss and settled back down once all the ice had been melted. He was in a low glow again, sulking, obviously not at all pleased by the nymph's appearance. |

Millicent took the water skin and the cloth gratefully, running the cool rag over her face and neck as she listened to him. She couldn't deny how good a bed sounded. She nodded, looking over as he trailed off. "What is the plan after Beyfeild? You never did say..." She mused, her voice better after a long sip of water. They'd rest, she'd heal, they'd stock up...couldn't take more than a few days. Right? -- Randon was currently carving up an apple with his knife, looking up as he heard Farron coming over. "Oye, how can I help you?" He asked, seeming unfazed by the bruises forming on his upper body and jaw. Unlike Alek, he'd taken a few moments to clean up after the fight, so he didn't look quite as haphazard. --- Nyss rolled her eyes as he sulked, "Fine. Sulk all ye want ye glob. No one likes a moody soul anyway." She stuck her tongue out before flitting off, happy to stretch out her wings for the first time in about a decade. Oye this would be interesting. |

"Mm, that's mostly because I didn't know. However, I think it's best to head onward, away from here as much as possible." Alek looked up to her as he dropped a handful of grass back onto the ground. "I was thinking Vallonde might be a good choice... it's large, easy to get lost in. It's an entire economy rolled into one city, so I doubt anyone would actually recognize you there. Well, they won't if you stay away from the upper society sections." - "You look terrible," Farron said as she walked over. She pulled up his jaw, turning his head lightly to inspect his bruises. "Why are yeh insistent on tormenting the guardsman? I get it, yeh have hard feelings, but come now. You shouldn't be antagonizing him. Also, have you seen Asta? I'd like her t'help me with the horses." |

Millicent nodded, unable to keep from laughing lightly, though. "I haven't traveled that way since I was a wee lass. I'm doubting even the upper class will know me by sight." She mused, taking another sip of her water before continuing. "But I think it is a good plan of action. From what I can remember it is nice, big....large enough that we could stay there at least somewhat comfortably for a bit." She agreed with a small smile. --- Randon gently took his chin from her grasp, "I look worse than it feels, lass, trust me." He assured her with a small grin, ignoring what she said about the guardsman. He was itching for a fight...he was just happy the bloke chose him instead of Aleron. He could not see what the princess saw in him. When she asked about Asta he thought about it before nodding, pointing towards a patch of the woods a little far off. "She went over there abouts with that demon horse." He told her, munching on a slice of apple happily. |

Alek nodded along absently with her words. "Yes... quite large indeed. It has sea access as well... you could easily hire a ship to take you anywhere you wanted," he added on with a shrug. "Though I think it's best to lie low for a while before making any particularly grand decisions." He looked up at her, eyes carefully guarded as he spoke. "My grandparents live in Vallonde. I thought they might be able to assist." - Farron folded her arms and raised an eyebrow at him. "Quit yer prodding, boy," she warned as she began the trek toward the woods. Once she was there, she hopped over a log and called Asta's name quietly, not wishing to disturb anything that might be in here. |
