Days of pent up emotions, no sleep, constant worrying, and hundreds of other reasons could have explained why Alek did what he did next, but in reality, it was simply just what happened. He launched himself at Randon, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and ripping him around. His fist indefinitely landed along the left side of Randon's jaw. Alek was mad, but he wasn't dishonorable enough to jump a man with his back turned. No... he wanted the ungrateful little horse's ass to see what was coming to him. His blow was solid, but nothing overly damaging. Pain, yes, broken jaw, not at all. After the blow landed, he shoved Randon backwards. |

Randon blinked as he was ripped around and felt the pain radiating through his jaw. He stumbled back but only a step as Alek shoved him. With an eery calm he set the wood down and slowly looked back up at Alek as he stood. There was a smirk on his lips, spitting the mouthful of blood to the side before chuckling. "Nice, pretty boy..." Without warning he spun and landed a solid kick to Alek's gut that at the very least would knock some wind out of him but before he could fall Randon caught him by the collar of his shirt. "Pink really suits ye, pansy..." He added and with that he landed a solid punch to the same spot, pain on a less built man would have enduced vomiting, and let him drop as he stepped back. Only piss ass kids went for the sucker punch first. Milli just stared, too shocked to know what to do as she saw the boys go at it. She knew Alek had a temper but.... All of Aleron and Randon's hard work dissolved as her stomach contorted and her voice was caught in her throat. Edited by RiddleMeThis396, Jul 26 2014, 06:22 AM.

That was all it took to snap the last of Alek's self-control ropes. He launched himself at Randon and before the two of them knew it, they were on the ground, blows and strikes landing and missing, each trying to get the upper hand. Alek was no weakling either. Years of dedication to his body and his craft, not to mention constant work outs with the Guard and an older brother to beat him up made him a worthy opponent. Farron was about to compliment the princess' accident when she saw the two boys going at it. "Boys," she sighed as she pushed up to her feet. They looked exactly like her seven and five year old brothers... boys never grew up. |

Randon braced as well, having years of two older brothers whaling on you gave you plenty of practice. Besides, you had to keep in tip top shape to ward off against and escape the guards. Millicent finally found her voice then, "What the bloody hell is wrong with you twits?!!" She demanded as Randon shoved Alek off and regained his footing. "Stop it! I-" she gulped, keeping down an overwhelming urge to vomit down. Nope...that wouldn't last long. She scrambled to her feet as best she could, not wanting to vomit on poor Aleron. What she didn't see was the light from her pendant was almost blinding and suddenly a new voice rang out. "ENOUGH OF THIS POPPYCOCK NONSENSE!" A high, obviously female voice yelled out and suddenly a small blue nymph was hovering between the boys keeping them from each other. "Can't ye bloody see ye-- nope there she goes" she winced as Milli proceeded to bark on the base of a tree nearby. "Look what ye bloody did..." |

Alek was breathing heavily, his naked aggression getting the best of him during the fight with Randon. Both men had gotten in some good hooks here and there. Alek's nose was bleeding and there were sure to be bruises forming later. When the....thing appeared between them and started squeaking in what Alek could only identify as a voice, he was caught off guard. He immediately backed away from it, not recognizing it as anything he wanted to be near. It was small, blue, and not natural. The only good thing was Alek was brought back to reality as he looked over to see Millicent losing her stomach. He hadn't really seen her eat in hours...and while she was sipping her water skin, she probably wasn't getting enough of that either. Nevertheless, it was just another symptom. Something was wrong. He reached up and wiped at his nose, smearing the blood over onto his cheek as he stared hard at Randon and the squeaking blue thing..... |

Randon blinked, shedding his shirt and wiping the blood from his mouth with it. He knew he would be sore later but he'd simply use some of the rum he had to dull it out. "Our apologies, miss..." "Nyss." She answered shortly, her voice lowering to a much more pleasant tone as she looked between the boys in their current state. "I'll get te you in a minute, but you!" she turned back to Alek, "You've been a right tho'n in me side fer three yea's!" She informed him, flicking her ombre blue hair over her shoulder. "Ye realize how hard it is te keep a promise and help the poor girl control her powas te begin with?! Then I've got ye stoic arse come into the picture and suddenly she's all ova the damn place!" Randon nearly laughed but kept his mouth shut for the moment. He just gave Alek a knowing smirk. |

Alek stared at the thing, apparently who's name was Nyss, and after letting it rant on, he felt the stress building back up in his body. Getting into it with Randon was not at all what he had anticipated. It had been a bold and stupid overreaction to his high stress levels and for that, he regretted it, but it had been....good for him. Now, there was some sort of.... creature... yelling at him. Surprise. Someone else to yell at him. That's all it seemed to be lately... Alek, grow up, Alek, you're a coward, Alek, you don't know what you're doing, Alek, you're ruining everything, Alek, everything is somehow your fault, Alek, you're more trouble than you're worth. "Sorry," was his careless response. He was done. This was it. A floating...sprite...yelling at him was the end of his patience. He couldn't do it anymore. He turned away from her and Randon and looked at Millicent for an extended moment. He wanted to help her, he did... but this... it wasn't his world. And instead of being transitioned into it, he was being forced into it with no support. Millicent had spent half the time yelling at him, half the time blushing and everyone else just seemed to feel like it was a game, a hilarious source of amusement that he was so out of place. He'd see her to Beyfield, find her a safe passage to Vallonde, probably with Aleron and Asta and then he would have to leave. He knew his limits. He knew what he could do and what he couldn't and he wasn't what she wanted to him to be. He wasn't the knight who could save the princess... |

Nyss' wings flutters in agitation by his dismissal, and she saw the way he looked at Millicent. "Oh come off it." She sighed, shooing Randon away which he happily took advantage of to go set up the fire wood. She floated a bit closer towards Alek then. "Look. I see that look in ye eyes. You want to know why you unbalance her and make my life hell tryin' te keep her powers in check? She cares for ye stoic ass. A lot more than either of ye care te let yeselves realize. You leave her she'll fall apart." She told him, still agitated but her voice much gentler and softer so the others wouldn't hear her.

"Please leave me alone," Alek said quietly. He had gone from pent up to almost normal in the span of those few seconds of looking at Millicent. He was calm again, rational. A decision had been made. He was no longer floundering around with no direction. His path was set and that calmed him....significantly. Meanwhile, Farron had come down from the hill to intervene with the boys if need be. She saw the princess' condition though and made her way over to her, shooting a 'why did you go and start a fight' look to Randon as she passed him. "Millicent," she said softly, not wanting to scare the girl. "Yeh alright? " |

Millicent was bracing herself against the tree, her body trembling and tears running down her face unnoticed. She just shook her head as Farron approached her, afraid to open her mouth again. ------ Nyss sighed, shaking her head at him. "I know this isn't easy for ye, lad, but sometimes ye have to do what is right, not what is convenient or easy." She told him simply, her words eerily similar to those Leila had spoken the night of the ball. "Right now, she needs you. No matta what ye think. That poison is raging through her system and making her horrid. I tried to dispel it but...not one I'm familiar with." |
