Millicent felt the need to be stubburn but she knew after the antics with Alek there was no use anymore. "Like hell..." She told him, her voice hoarse as she cleared it. "I'm tired, everything hurts, I'm weak, I want to vomit every time I eat or look at food. I'm glad the headaches are gone. I'm sure its nothing. I think I'm just being winey and tired from all of the traveling." She backtracked, giving him a weak smile.

Aleron frowned softly as Millicent explained what was wrong with her. "Millicent, you wouldn't be sick to the stomach if you were exhausted from traveling. May I take a look at your wound?" He asked her politely as he tried to take all of the symptoms in his head and match them up to all of the poisons he knew. He was going to have to bring out one of his books...

Millicent nodded, pausing as he un wrapped the dressing. "Shouldn't this have healed at least part of the way by now?" She asked him quietly, tucking her tangled hair behind her ear. "I mean... It's still sore to walk on. Really sore." She admitted, knowing he wouldn't be happy she'd hid that but she didn't want to complain. Didn't want to further the picture of the whiney, spoiled princess.

Randon decided to poke the hornet's nest a bit and wandered over to the patch of woods where the guard dog was collecting wood nearby. "Oye come off it, lad. Ye only gonna drive her away ye keep this bollux up. Sides...pink matches ye cheeks afta all..." He mused with a smirk, collecting up some kindling off to the side. Hey, no one could say he wasn't helping.

"It should have definitely done some healing by now." Aleron agreed with her as he prodded it gently. He looked up at Millicent and gave her a reassuring smile. "It's okay to say when something hurts. It's not a weakness to inform us when something isn't right. And before you say anything, I'm not reading your mind. Asta used to be the same way." He soothed her before going back to studying the wound. "I'm going to re-wrap this, but I'm not going to put any more herbs on it. There might be something in the wound and I don't want to agitate it. I'm going to go do some research to see what's inside the wound and so when we get to the apothecary tomorrow, we know immediately what they need to do." He told her, trying to phrase it all in a way to keep the princess from worrying.

Millicent winced slightly as he prodded her leg, despite how gentle he was being. There was still worry in her eyes but she nodded, giving him a weak smile. "Alright... I do hope I don't end up even more of an issue." She tried to joke but it fell flat. She sighed, "speaking of issues...as you can tell I'm having horrible control issues. Do you possibly know how to change Alek's hair back?" She asked sheepishly as her cheeks flushed once more.

Alek's jaw tightened as he heard the last person he wanted to deal with's voice. He didn't need to be heckled right now...

He tasted blood as he bit the inside of his cheek to keep himself quiet. There was no point in arguing or even acknowledging him. First attempt at saying anything and Randon would likely start in on his pink hair.

With only a short exhale, Alek turned and launched the few decent sized sticks over to Randon. They walloped Randon in the shins as they landed around him. "I didn't ask for your input. Make yourself useful for once," he retorted as he threw the new shirt over his shoulder and walked away further. If he didn't walk away now, he'd probably launch himself at Randon.

"You're not an issue. People get injured all of the time." Aleron assured her with a smile. He chuckled as she brought up Alek's pink hair and nodded. "It shouldn't be an issue. Maybe it should be one of the first things I teach you when you're feeling better. Then that way when he really pisses you off, you can do it on purpose." He teased her, trying to elicit a smile from her. Being tense and worrying wouldn't help her any.

Randon quirked an eyebrow, "Ye fo'got the stick lodged up yer arse. Twit." He rolled his eyes, mumbling the last part before continuing. "'Sides. Not me fault you decided only you can do anythin'. Eh, but that's a guard dog way, isn't it? Think ye top of the food chain and all." He mused with a shrug, adjusting his ring a bit so it sat better as he hoisted up the pile of wood with no issue. Honestly he was surprised Alek hadn't called him out yet on who he really was but he didn't seem like the brightest bulb either. No guard did, actually. Maybe that was a requirement before enlisting. You had to have an IQ below a certain point ...

Alek's eye twitched as he listened to Randon. Walk away... walk away...

"Oh and I suppose you think you're so much better, more capable of ensuring the safety of everyone around you?" He turned and faced Randon, careless at the moment of his ...predicament. "You seem to be doing a bang up job with that, criminal." He leveled his gaze at Randon. "Don't think for a second I don't know who you are, I just don't care enough to acknowledge you. You're a common pest, less important than the dirt on my boots, Millson." His voice was still as calm as ever, but there was a shake to it, an undertone maybe of something more than just annoyance. It was far deeper than that and unfortunately, Randon was on the receiving end of it.

Millicent giggled silently, nodding with a small smile. "Sounds good..." She frowned though as she heard the voices in the woods. "Oh bloody hell..." She mumbled, running a hand over her face.

------

Randon quirked an eyebrow, "Considering I've done just that fer me family from the likes of ye me whole life..." He mused, but there was an edge to his voice. "But glad you actually seem te have a set, lad, was gettin worried." He added dismissively with a light shrug. Besides, the guard was only sore because they'd never caught him and never been able to pin anything on him. "Look at ye girl, guard dog, fore ye pass judgment on the rest of us. Yeah, yer method is working WONDERFULLY." He rolled his eyes before heading back to camp to set down the first armload of wood. It taking everything he had not to drop it and drop him....
