Millicent raised an eyebrow at him, and it kept going the longer he spoke. He was tripping over his words a lot lately it seemed. She nodded though, as he finally got it out. "I'm just tired, Alek. I haven't traveled further than the city limits in years, much less as intensely as this." She assured him for the umpteenth time. She moved her skirt so the slit revealed the bandaging on her leg. Such a maneuver used to cause her to drown in flushed cheeks but she was too tired to pay it much mind now. The foliage around her, however, began to slowly spring to life. Tiny flowers popped up around her even though she was unaware. She just wanted to sleep....and maybe toss up the remainders of her stomach at some point. |

"Are you well known for missing important things?" Farron asked with a rather serious tone. She wasn't trying to be cruel or anything, simply asking a question that needed asking. If he was, then yes, they had a larger problem on their hands... but if he wasn't, then it could become a massive problem that they may not know how to deal with. -- Alek bent down to untie the bandage, but as he did, he was distracted by the sudden bloom of flowers, the way the grass seemed to suddenly lean...toward her instead of away from her as she sat on it. He stopped what he was doing and glanced up at her for a moment, his eyes registering wariness and a bit of confusion at the act. "Millicent?" |

Aleron shook his head. "No, I'm well versed in herbal lore. A lot more so than most." He replied to Farron, not seeming to take offense to her question. "I'm adequate with wounds and treating them, but it was a simple wound to clean. There should be no complications unless it was a poison I missed..." He jumped up as he turned and watched the princess with the Guard and how her powers acted out. |

"What?" Millicent sighed sharply, blinking as she looked around her as Kisha stood up. "Oh bloody hell..." She ran a hand through her hair, trying to calm herself but blinked as she felt a pulse. She looked up slowly, mouth hanging open a bit. "Oh bloody hell...Alek I am so sorry. I...er...um..." She stammered, half horrified and half wanting to double over laughing. Pink....pink was definitely not Alek's color. To make things worse the small circle of flowers was growing around her since she was so distracted. Randon couldn't help it, he doubled over laughing. He knew it wasn't right. After all, the princess had been having a rather rough time of it lately. He hid behind his mare, coughing as he tried to contain himself. Bloody hell....guard dog had pink hair! Oye....if only he could preserve that picture forever... |

Farron watched Aleron and seemed to accept his answer without judgment. "Poison, eh? Do you think it was possible? I mean, no one else had any arrows shot at them, right? Sounds like an assassination attempt to me." She peered over when she heard Randon's laugh echoing around the little knoll. Curious as to what had him in such fits, she snorted when she saw the Guard Dog's hair. It was bright, flaming pink. She, unlike Randon, couldn't contain her laughter as she watched his expression twist. At first, Alek was just going to let the whole.... mysterious flowers thing go, but then...the criminal started laughing. Alek glanced over, glaring at him, wondering what in the seven hells he was laughing at. That was about the time he heard the princess apologizing. He slowly looked back over to her, his face showing no amusement despite Randon and Farron openly laughing. "....What." |

"You're hair...oh my goddess.... Alek I am so so sorry..." Millicent stammered, torn between laughing and crying. Shakily she dug her looking glass out of her bag and handed it to him. "I...I'm so sorry. I..I don't know how to fix it." She felt the heat rising in her cheeks and honestly wanted to curl into a ball. Confession time was going to come sooner than expected. Way sooner. |

"There are actually a couple of poisons that unless you are specifically looking for them, you're not going to notice. They have no color, no smell, no taste." Aleron explained to her before blanching as he watched the Guardsman's hair turn pink. Even he chuckled at it despite the seriousness of the current situation. He could even hear Asta giggling from her spot near her horse where she was currently laying on top of the stallion. "That's uhh..." He trailed off with a cough as he looked over at Farron, her laughter not helping him to contain his own. |

Alek took the glass from her and held it up, seeing what was wrong almost instantly. He just...stared for a moment before reaching up and scrubbing his hand through his hair as though trying to get rid of the color. Pink..it...it was..."Pink," he echoed his thoughts. He just stared at it and lowered the looking glass, glancing between Randon who was half dying behind his stupid horse, Farron who was openly dying on the hill top, and Aleron who looked like he was at least trying to be decent.... it didn't seem to be working though. He held the looking glass back out to her and just...stood. He didn't say anything, but there was very little sign of amusement on his face. "I'm going to get some firewood," he instructed, glad everyone ELSE was having a grand old time. "Have Aleron check your wound." He turned away from Millicent, hiding the red in his cheeks. Gods, how he hated being laughed at, even if in theory, it could have been funny. He probably would've laughed if it had been anyone else... but right now, his humour was all but locked away for the seriousness of the situation. He made his way over to his pack and dug around in it until he found a fresh shirt, one that had a hood attached to it. He took it with him as he made his way toward the little patch of trees they were hovering close to. Farron snorted again, "Aww, Guardsman, you look adorable! Don't be so serious!" she called out to him as he stomped away. What a killjoy! She laughed for another few seconds until it began to die down, but the smile remained. "Good one, Millicent darling! What made you choose pink?" |

Millicent cringed as he stormed off, but felt an awkward laugh bubble up in her chest that came out in weird spurts. She honestly didn't know what else to do! She looked back to Farron then, cheeks still bright red. "I didn't do it intentionally. None of this, really...." She told her honestly, rubbing the back of her head awkwardly as her other hand gestured to the now ploom of flowers surrounding her. Kisha was content for the moment rolling around in them now that Alek was off. She really hoped he wasn't too mad... "Oye...lass don't beat yeself up so much! Shit like that happens when he learnin'. Me brothas made me invisible fer two days! Sure gave me mum a right scare...though it was fun." He mused, grinning as he got a small laugh out of her. "Oye he'll be put out but he'll come round...less he secretly likes it and wants te keep it course..." Now Millicent really giggled a bit, picturing Alek in his full regalia and bright pink hair. Nope. That image made her laughing worse. Suddenly, however, she stopped, hand covering her mouth as she forced whatever bile back down her throat. Oh bollux this sucks. |

Aleron was content off to the side, allowing Randon to cheer the princess up until he watched her cover her mouth and her skin pale, the tell signs of being sick or almost there. It was time to figure out what was up. Nodding to Farron, he climbed down the knoll he had been perched upon with her and walked over to Millicent, crouching down in front of her. "How are you feeling?" He asked her, honest concern coloring his voice. |
