Aleron looked over at her arms, noting just how many injuries she had. She must really get into her work then. That or she was a klutz like Asta which didn't seem to fit her at all. He laughed as she told him about the flattering, this being his first actual full laugh since joining the group. It was really quite a pleasant sound... "Ferocious, frightening, destructive Soul of flames?" He repeated back to her as he tried not to laugh again. "Isn't that a little over the top?" |

Randon nodded sagely, playing with the ring on his finger. "Aye....I know all about...acquiring things from people who don't appreciate 'em." He mused approvingly, flicking another card into the apple and handed her one as he continued. "But its good te see a big brute like him with someone who knows how to care fer 'im." He said simply, looking up at her with a small grin, wondering why she was being so shy yet so abrasive with the guardsman. |

"Explains the kiss now, doesn't it," Farron said as she pushed up to her feet. She spoke to Pyr again and his light burned brightly. "I'm off to rest, Traveler. You should do the same... the Guardsman doesn't seem fond of breaks or rest time. Take it while we can, eh?" She nodded to him. "Restful dreams, traveler." |

Asta smiled back hesitantly at Randon, watching him fiddle with a ring before he handed her another card. When she threw this one, it barely managed to lodge itself in the apple on the side, having almost missed the fruit completely. "He's not a brute, he's just really protective. Over protective I guess you should say." She amended, quick to come to her horses defense. - "That it does." Aleron agreed before biting back a yawn. Sleep was something he definitely needed. He could tell that the guardsman was going to push them hard so he needed the extra energy. Especially if he had to deal with a whiny Asta. "You as well, lady Blacksmith. I hope no nightmares plague your rest." Edited by never_fade_away, Jul 20 2014, 02:35 AM.

Randon chuckled lightly as he handed her another, "Over protective is putting it lightly but...would definitely rather have him on me side than tryin' to eat me...or trample me." He mused with a shrug, looking over at the others as they split off. "Ayee...looks like its time te rest lass. Guard dog will probably be pacing all night so best to rest now while we have the chance. We'll pick this up again." He assured her with a small grin. |

"He won't trample you, promise." Asta assured him before trying one more time and actually managing to hit the apple more towards the center. She looked up, blinking in surprise at Randon's words. "Oh! Of course!" Hopping up, her feet seemed to get all tangled together before she squealed and managed to fall right back over... onto Randon. |

Randon gave her a skeptical look before nodding as he was about to get up himself. Instead, he found himself knocked back and looking up at a rather frazzled looking Asta. He couldn't help the small smirk, tilting his head a little bit in amusement. "Well lass, ye just continually fallin' fer me..." He teased lightly but helped her up as he sat up. "I think ye, more tired than ye think -- there we go." He mused as he lightly brushed some of her hair out of her face. "Go get some rest...just...don't fall into the fire." |

Asta scowled at him as her cheeks turned a bright red, trying her best to scramble up and collect herself. She allowed him to help her up, feeling quite flustered and embarrassed. Her cheeks flamed even more as he brushed hair off of her face and she jumped a step backwards away from his touch. "Yea... thanks, Randon. Have a nice night." She said before bolting to the safety of her horse away from the too familiar thief who she couldn't figure out. |

Randon chuckled, plucking the cards out of the apple before heading over to his spot around the fire to grab some sleep. She was an odd one... that much he was sure of. He'd keep things interesting at least. He finally settled down, knowing the bright morning was soon to come...or a the very least his round of guard duty. |

It was a few minutes after first light, when the majority of the night sky was still dark and the stars were just beginning to fade, when they found themselves roused by Alek. Aleron received a light kick to the bottom of his boot and Farron got a gentle nudge. As they both awoke, Alek instructed them to wake the remaining people with the exception of Millicent. He left her for last and had no intention of waking her until everything was packed and ready to go. She needed to rest as much as he could allow. Even more delightful was that no one's sleep had been disturbed by Alek. He'd taken the entire guard shift and even though was on the verge of utter exhaustion, hid it quite well. Sometime in the night, he'd cleaned up a bit. He'd changed into fresh clothing and his messy blonde/brown hair had been cleaned and tamed as much as he could manage. His tanned skin was clear of dirt, grime, and sweat and he looked refreshed....save the growing circles under his eyes. They had another day or two at least to Beyfield and he wasn't going to allow them more wasted time. The Guard must have been thrown off the scent since there hadn't been even the inkling of disturbance during the night...which meant that Alek felt his father or Marek had something to do with that. He would have to remember to write them his thanks when they reached the little hamlet they were making for. After everyone was roused and he'd readied Nightshade and the others were already milling about getting their own things ready did he make his way to Millicent. He stopped a few feet from her and observed her silently, hoping he wouldn't startle her too much. - Farron didn't protest as she felt Alek's nudge. She knew it was time to be up and at 'em, so she rose with a stretch and a yawn. As Alek walked away, she walked over to Randon and smirked. She plucked a wildflower from the ground and reached down, tickling his nose softly with it. |
