Alek shook his head again, "I don't think I should stop." He brought his gaze over yet again, his voice earnest more than anything. "You are who you are, Millicent and you should be proud of yourself, your lineage, and the title you deserve. I don't want you to give everything up... in fact, I mean not to let you." He paused. "With all due respect, of course."

"See that... monthly thing? Yea, I dodged a bullet with that and she had her mother still for that." Aleron said, quite relieved honestly about that little bit. "It's the other part. In my eyes, Asta will be nothing but the pure and innocent girl I first saved on the side of the road." He told her with a serious nod as he tried not to smile, not able to help himself. "Even though she's only my cousin, she's my sister. My dear, sweet, innocent sister." He tacked on as he looked over at Farron and smiled, watching her as she watched the stars.

"Saved her? Hold that bit, but... you've not talked to your of-age, beautiful little cousin-sister..." She drew her gaze down and her smile was playfully amused. "About men and the bedroom and what happens in them?" She rested her chin on her knees, her head tilted a bit as she waited for his response. She was sort of having fun taunting the handsome traveler. He was always so collected, it was a bit of fun to see if she could make him awkward.

"Asta was kicked out of our village and marked as an idiot because she had thoughts of her own and nobody wanted to marry a girl with her own thoughts. Where we come from? It's more than slightly behind on times." Aleron admitted as he explained a little bit of their back story. "She ran across the wrong crowd as she wandered about on her own and some men beat her and left her for dead where I found her and happened to recognize her." He made a face as she spoke about those... things. "Of course I haven't. Why on this planet would I be the one to tell her about... that?!" He demanded as he looked over at Farron, an actual look of horror on his face. "She can stick to her books for I am surely not the one who will explain things to her." He nodded.

Millicent blinked at his change in tone, looking back over at him with an almost awkward laugh. "I'm not going to forget who I am, Alek, or where I come from. I will always know who I am. Calling me by my name won't change that. As for my lineage? Well...the only people who'd welcome me back aren't me kin. Well...technically Kida is but that's another matter." She waved her hand, before shrugging pulling the blanket around her a little tighter.

"To me...my title was nothing but a facade once my father passed. I knew eventually my secret would come out. You know the kingdom would never stand for a queen of..my type." She caught herself, fully looking at him again but surprisingly there was a small smile on her lips. "I knew I'd eventually end up out here...or Damon would finally find a way to off me before I got the chance. I'm just happy I didn't end up on my own for this." She said simply with a light shrug, sounding like she'd come to terms with it years ago.

Farron listened intently as Aleron spoke. His voice was oddly...calming. No, HE was calming. It was...interesting, she thought.

"Well, for one, it's your duty as guardian to inform her about the facts of life, but... I think you may be safe for a while as she seems to have an aversion to men. Understandably from the sounds of it though... poor thing." Farron turned her eyes skyward again, watching as a star shot across the dark sky. "That isn't so surprising though...the suppression of women, I mean. A bit extreme from the sounds of it, but... something we all suffer through. Especially those of us with a brain."

She smiled a bit. "You're going to leave that to books? Oh, traveler, that's a terrible idea. Have you ever read some of those books? Very, VERY off base..."

--

Alek listened but his expression didn't change. Her title wasn't a facade....and he wasn't going to allow her to use that as an excuse to never return. She would return, she'd have to, and she'd take what was rightfully hers as first born and pure blood of the true King and Queen. Maybe not soon.... but someday, when she had control over herself and her magick, they could return and she could claim the kingdom.

He kept all this to himself though as he slowly pushed up to his feet as she trailed off. "Be that as it may, you should get some rest. You need it," he said calmly. "You can use my pack as a pillow if you'd like... nothing in there is overly uncomfortable."

Millicent gave him a small smile and a nod, "Since I can't get up I think I'll take you up on that offer." She admitted, adjusting it a little before laying back. "You should get rest too, Alek. Don't stay up all through." She added, giving him a pointed look before trying to rest. Her pendant wouldn't let her lay, though, and the glow now radiated through the blanket. Bloody hell! She just tried to force to keep her eyes shut and ignored it. This wasn't going to be a restful rest.

"Do I look like the kind of person who would read those books?" Aleron asked her as he raised his eyebrow and looked over at her. "Oh! I know! Why don't YOU explain these things to her? See, this is a perfect idea!" He declared with a nod as he tried not to grin over at her. "I mean, I saved your life so you can save mine in this respect, right?" He asked her.

Randon was sitting off to the side, trying to ignore the awkward mess on one side of him and...whatever was happening with Farron and the traveler. He wasn't used to her actually acting like a girl so he chose to ignore it. Instead he was boredly tossing playing cards into his hat nearby. For someone who looked bored out of his skull he had pretty damn good aim.

Alek nodded and reassured her he wasn't going to stay up... but he was in a camp with a handful of people he didn't know and didn't trust while simultaneously trying to keep her safe and stay out of sight of the Guard. Sleep was not important. He let out a sigh and began to walk the perimeter of the fire's glow to check for anything out of the usual.

Farron snorted, "Why me? Because I so happen to be a woman? And what if I don't know anything more than she does?" She looked down at him again with a raised eyebrow. "Maybe I'm just as innocent and naive and you're just assuming... hmmm, sounds like that t'me." She was clearly taunting him via the expression on her face, but her voice was completely serious.
