Millicent just laughed softly and shook her head. "Stuck at seventeen sounds about right for Marek..." She agreed with a small smile, munching contently for a moment. "I've seen glimpses of a sense of humor and smiles behind that armor, Alek." She added, glancing back over to him. Her tone letting him know she paid much more attention to his nuances than he'd probably ever realized. She'd meant to glance, but her eyes caught sight of the way the blazing fire reflected in his chocolate eyes. How it emphasized the curves of his face. She caught herself staring and felt her cheeks burn as she turned back forward and focused on eating for a moment as she tried to collect herself, unaware her pendant was faintly glowing.

Farron leaned to the side to look back at Asta with a light smile. "She seems a sweet one, Asta. I was thinking the same when I saw her with her steed. I used to train in my spare time but that's right about never anymore," she said as she looked back to Aleron and then back down to the fire. " 'Course I enjoy it... I mean, I was roped into it, that I'll give yeh, but now I love it. The things I can create with flame, hammer, and metal? It's th'competition that gets me though... wears on me hard."

((*Just wants to shake Alek and Milli* STOP PRETENDING LIKE YOU DON'T LIKE THE OTHER ONE! xD))

Alek shrugged a shoulder again as he finally put his pack off to the side. He had one leg folded under him, the other up and his arm resting on his knee. "Sure, but overall, wouldn't you say I'm more serious than not?" He looked over to her, catching the blush spreading across her cheeks.

And before he could catch himself, "How come you blush so much when talking to me, princess?" He realized his question the moment it was over and shook his head, "I apologize... that was a thought, not something I should've said outloud."

"She is very sweet and I'm trying to keep her that way. She has every right to hate the world, but I'm trying to teach her that good can come from this world as well." Aleron told Farron as he smiled at her. "Unfortunately, as a man there is only so much I can do. I'm hoping to find a place we can at least settle down part time where she can have friends and girls that can... teach her things." He waved away that awkward thought.

He sat there and listened with intentness to Farron's words, nodding and actually seemed to be paying attention to what she said. "The competition? Do you not like the competitive market?" He teased her lightly.

((-wants to shake them along with you-))

Millicent laughed a little, going to agree with him when his second question came. She took half a beat, more annoyed that he'd called her by her title. She looked over with a shy shrug, "Honestly? I'm not sure. I think...I dunno. This sounds incredibly lame but..." She sighed, finally forcing herself to look over at him. "Honestly I think it is because you're the only person that I can really call a friend....and you're one of very, very few men I enjoy being in the company of. I'm...not used to people treating me like a person I guess." She ended lamely, looking down and picking a fuzz off the blanket. The one thing she hadnt told him, and she highly doubted she ever would, was that Kida was right. He was kinda cute...okay not kinda..and she stopped her thoughts there. She was out of her mind. The exhaustion was getting to her. That had to be it.

Farron actually brushed off Aleron's comment about the competition and leaned forward a bit toward the flames. She had an amused smirk on her face. "What's that now, traveler? Girls to teach her 'things'? What kind of 'things' are we alluding to here?"

Alek was surprised to find her actually answering the misguided question. He was about to stop her, to tell her it was alright and he didn't really need the answer, but something caught his tongue and held it.

"...You haven't had much exposure to the decent men of this world," Alek suggested as he watched her expression. "And you've never been outside of the environment where everyone tries to coddle you." He looked away from her, over to the fire where Aleron and Farron were talking quietly. "Obviously I'm as guilty of suppressing you as anyone else so you're likely not going to have this same opinion regarding me after a few weeks in Beyfield or another city."

"You know... girly things. So she doesn't have to ask me. Do you know how AWKWARD those conversations are?" Aleron asked her with a shudder. "I eventually begged her not to ask me anymore." He explained to Farron as he looked back to the fire. That... those things just weren't what you asked a cousin/brother figure. He didn't even want to THINK about it to be perfectly honest. Asta would always remain sweet and innocent in his mind. End of story.

Millicent shook her head with a light sigh, kinda wanting to strangle him in a way. "I don't think you'll be the only one...suppressing me, as you put it." She said, looking out to the others. She had a feeling Aleron and Farron would be on the same bandwagon. The knowledge she was royalty had its pitfalls. Unlike most royals, she wanted to do this herself. She didn't want special treatment but she knew it was inevitable. "I figure if I can get ye to stop calling me by my title the rest is child's play, right?" She teased lightly, taking a sip of water then to calm her somewhat flustered nerves.

Farron chuckled, "I have three brothers and two nieces under the age of ten with another sibling and another niece or nephew on the way. Elliott is nearing 8 and is just starting to ask questions about girls and whatnot... trust me, I've got my work cut out for me." She leaned back though, rocking back and looking up at the stars. "Yeh sound like such a brother," she chided jokingly. "Ohhh, girls and puberty and the monthly visitor! Ahhh! What evils befall me to know about such things!"
