Millicent nearly stumbled as Alek moved away, taking with him her leverage. She looked up as the woman suddenly appeared, tilting her head to the side a bit. She looked familiar... and obviously Aleron knew her. Then it hit her; that woman was always there when they dropped off the armor. She was one of the Black's girls. One of many of the word was right. She didn't say anything, though, nudging Alek when she saw his hand on his weapon. It was brandished with the royal crest...and she wasn't sure if she wanted them knowing who she was as of just yet. She blinked as a young man came through as well, chuckling all the way as he led their horses through. "Oye, lass...thought two of ye were travelin the the shore? What in blazes ye soon out here?" Randon asked with his infamous grin as he looked back to the other pair. "Ah. Where ah me manners, m'lady..." He mused, bowing with exaggerated grace which Millicent couldn't help but giggle at. "Me name is Randon." "Milli." She replied simply, going with a nickname since it was the only thing her tired mind could think of. "Aye, Milli it is. Pretty maiden and a runaway guardsman. Oye...I smell forbidden romance here." He teased lightly, giving Alek a knowing look. He reamed of guard pompousness. Millicent was grateful the night covered her burning cheeks. Oh by the gods this would be interesting. |

Aleron blinked in surprise as he heard a familiar voice before relaxing as he hopped off of his horse and let a smile show on his face. "What can I say? You had me hooked on our first meeting, lady Blacksmith." He replied easily, his eyes noticing the glow of Pyr beneath her shirt and also how her eyes seemed to light up in the light of the night. They were quite pretty actually. "So where are you currently headed?" He asked her curiously, ignoring the curious look Asta shot him. She was a bit surprised to see both the Lady Blacksmith and Randon appear out of the bushes and approach them. Unlike Aleron, she stayed mounted atop Camulus, feeling no need to get down and greet people. She merely waved hello to Randon's greetings, not feeling the need to say anything either. She just looked down and began to pick at her horse's mane, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable in a group this large. |

((*Oops. Alek was supporting her. Alek you jerk. *kicks dirt at him* xD)) Alek relaxed his arm as he felt Millicent nudge him, but he did not let the hilt of the sword go. Just because they apparently were familiar did not mean he wasn't expecting some sort of ambush. What if they'd been recruited by the Guard? He narrowed his eyes at Randon, not appreciating the light-hearted tone the man took to a situation he had no idea about. He didn't appreciate the giggle Millicent let out either... she didn't need to encourage him. Farron clicked her tongue and shook her head, "Flatterer still, are yeh? Well, remember, it doesn't work very well on me." She lifted a hand in greeting to Asta, even going so far as to wave her fingers. "We're... out an' about," she finished with a shrug. "You make friends easy, traveler," she observed, looking at the tense man and the woman he was placing himself in front of. Protective little thing. "Milli, yeh say? Surely not like...Milli....cent, right?" Alek tensed again at the woman's recognition and his grip tightened again. |

Randon chuckled, squatting as he held out a piece of smoked meat to Kisha. With Millicent's mental prodding, Kisha nimbly took the piece of meat from his fingers. "Aye she's a real beaut, Milli..." He complimented with a grin, focusing on winning over the wild dog as Farron spoke up. Millicent smiled and gave Randon a small nod in thanks before looking over to the other woman. Any hope she had of lying her way out, she realized, rested on her chest. Her pendant was rather well known since her father had made a big deal of getting it made for her. She blinked rapidly to clear her blurring vision, subtly using Nightshade to support herself. Las thing she needed to do was collapse. "Yes, actually..." She said simply, knowing this could go either way. "You're one of the blacksmiths that makes the guard's armor. One of the many blacks, yes?" She added, her earlier suspicions confirmed by the way Aleron greeted her. Edited by RiddleMeThis396, Jul 13 2014, 03:48 AM.

"I can't help it. I'm a rather friendly person." Aleron smiled over at Farron before looking to Millicent and waiting for her response at Farron's rather astute observation. So much for going under the radar. They were going to have to be more careful it looked like. Millicent seemed to be easily recognizable. Or at least she was in the surrounding area. |

Farron nodded and made do with a weak, albeit proper, curtsy. She hated curtsying. Men could bow... and that was so much easier. "As I thought. Aye, I'm Farron Black, youngest daughter of Caius. Pleasure t'meet yeh, my lady, even if it is under,....interesting circumstances." She raised her eyebrow at Randon and whacked him lightly in the arm to straighten up rather than play with the wolf. When she said her name, Alek recognized the woman. He'd seen her now and again on his rounds through the market with Millicent. "Why are you out here in the dead of night," he asked, uneasy with the familiarity between Aleron and these people. It seemed himself and the princess were fast-becoming the odd men out. |

Millicent felt flustered as Farron curtsied, quickly but gently brushing it away. "Please that's not needed. Not out here." She assured her with a shy smile, shaking her head as Randon went to do a proper bow. She wanted to roll her eyes at Alek but Randon did it for her. "Enjoying the beautiful view!" He mused with enthusiastic sarcasm, grinning as Millicent rubbed her mouth to keep from laughing. "Oye...fer a guardsman ye really don't pay attention to the risk alerts, do ye laddy..." He mused knowing full well warrants were out on both of them. |

Alek just stared at Randon. "I apologize... I've been a bit busy, I can't be bothered to pay attention to every petty criminal the Guard deems 'mildly dangerous'." Alek's normal smooth, even tone was abrupt with this man. He could already tell he was a charmer, likely one of the many pickpockets and cutpurses that plagued the city. A common thief and a burden on the Guard, who had thousands of other things to concern themselves with. Farron glanced at Randon and nodded before looking back at Alek. "Petty criminals we are," she agreed. If he didn't know, it was better it stayed that way. "Though wrongfully accused if that makes any difference." "It doesn't," Alek interjected. Farron just shrugged. |

Millicent put the pieces together, giving Alek a look as he started in. If there was one thing she always kept track of were the magic alerts. "It does to me. Too many abuse the system to rid competition and people they simply don't like." She said simply, looking back to Farron with a shrug. Her eyes held a knowing glint though but she was the last ones to out them. There was a small smile on her face though. Randon just laughed but had walked over to Asta by this point. "Oye...quiet tonight lassy..." He mused, holding out an apple to the demon horse. |

Asta was still staring down into Camulus's mane, still feeling uncomfortable when she heard a voice speak up near her. Finding Randon there, she turned her head to look around and see if he was talking to anybody else before it finally hit her that he was talking to her. Of course, when he held out the apple for Camulus, the stallion snorted as he tried to move around the apple and bite Randon himself, stomping at the ground and trying to get the man to back up. "Cam..." Asta warned, her hands sinking into his thick white mane, tugging on it to get him to quit. "It's been... interesting lately." She agreed with him, wondering why he was talking to her. "I'm surprised to find you out here. What are you doing?" She asked him quietly, starting to pick at her horse's mane again. Obviously a nervous habit. |
