Millicent nodded, biting down hard on her lip to keep from yelling out in pain each time the horse's hooves hit the ground. She took a deep, shaky breath as Alek steadied her leg. It was now a dull, constant throbbing.

She could taste the blood from her lip but didn't feel the tears striping her cheeks. She honestly thought she was out of tears after last night. She kept her breathing shallow to distract from the pain, something she'd learned to deflect the pain from one of Damon's blows. "They're g-gone...." She stuttered out after some time, Kisha having to tell her at least three times before she'd gotten the whole message. She could faintly see red gleaming on the wolf's muzzle and paws. Apparently a few of the guards would be in the infirmary after all....

Aleron was keeping close to Alek and Millicent, staying on the side where she had been shot so the person who had got her the first time wouldn't have the same opportunity again. At Millicent's gasped words, he began to slow. "Then we need to get that wound cleaned and wrapped as soon as we possibly can." He informed her.

Millicent looked to Aleron with a shaky nod, feeling kind of ridiculous to be completely honest. "I'd like the arrow out of my leg...." She agreed with a weak smile before gasping and cringing in pain . By the gods this sucked. Of course she'd be the one who got hurt. Not that she thought anyone should get hurt but...of course it had to be the princess in over her head.

They had since broken out of the forest and were on the gently hilly plains that surrounded the forest and most of the kingdom. The grass was tall, around thigh-height and deep, luxurious green. When the wind came through, it almost looked like a sea of green in the way it moved.

Alek was still uncomfortable, but he knew Aleron was right. They needed to see to Millicent first before they could go any further.

He slowed Nightshade and eventually stopped him behind a particularly tall hill. They'd be somewhat safe here.... for a short while.

He slid off, careful of Millicent before stepping beside her and holding out his arms. "Come on, I'll help you," he assured her. "Put all your weight on my shoulders and I'll lower you onto your good foot." He glanced back at Aleron. "You said you can do...healing... things...right?"

Millicent nodded to Alek's words, carefully swinging her good leg over. Her lip was slightly swollen and bloody, tiny rivers of blood running down her leg. She looked like an absolute mess. She pressed her hands firmly into Alek's shoulders and let him help her down. She cringed and gasped at the shock of pain that went up by the tinyest amount of weight on her leg. "C-can we please g-get the arrow out of my l-leg?" She asked with a shaky breath, gently nudging Kisha away as the wolf came over to check up on her.

Aleron immediately hopped off of his horse as he walked over. "My powers aren't really concentrated around healing, but I can fast forward it a little and put some herbs on it to keep it from getting infected and to heal it." He offered up, moving to his saddle bag to pull out his rather large satchel of herbs.

Walking back over, he placed his cloak on the ground. "It'll be best off if you were sitting Millicent." He informed her now that she was off the horse.

Alek supported Millicent's weight entirely as he eased her down from the horse. He was a little annoyed to hear that Aleron was just shy of useless... but he kept that part to himself.

He helped Millicent to the ground, gently easing out her leg. "...The hardest part is going to be getting it out," he said, his voice remarkably calm and even. "After that, it'll be a walk through the forest,' he assured her, sitting just in front of her, though he made room for Aleron to work as well.

He looked back at Asta. "Do you have water? A spare strip of leather or something?"

Millicent hissed in pain as Alek helped her sit, "I don't care I ju-just want it out..." She told him, trying to calm herself down. She carefully pulled her water bag over her head and nudged Alex. "Here..." She said, just wanting this over and done with. She tilted her head back and blew out a breath.

Aleron kneeled down next to Millicent and studied the wound before he decided to yank it out. Quickly mixing up some of the herbs, he ran his hand over them to give them a little bit of extra healing power. Dipping his fingers in them, he smoothed them on around the wound as gently as possible. "That should help numb it." He told her before taking a deep breathe. Bracing one hand, he placed the other on the shaft of the arrow and yanked it out as quickly as possible.

Once the arrow was out, his hands were like lightening as he placed an extra rag to her wound to help staunch the blood flow.

Millicent nodded, bracing herself as she dug her fingers into the cloak. She let out a chocked scream, biting her lip again as she tried to keep herself quiet. Last thing she needed was them being found because of her. She gasped, her stomach churning horribly from the burst of pain. Finally the pain started to subside a little, but her whole body was trembling. "How long until we can k-keep going?" She asked trying to keep her mind distracted.
