"Then stay out of the water," Alek muttered, far too quiet for Asta to actually hear. In fact, it was more of a rumble and only Millicent would hear being so close to him.

Millicent flicked the top of Alek's ear as a kind of warning. "Bug." She supplied simply before turning her attention back to Asta. "Bad run of it, huh?" She asked with a sympathetic smile. After the way she first appeared and falling into the pool Millicent could kind of catch on the other girl was a bit accident prone.

Alek turned his head to the side abruptly and shot a look Millicent out of the corner of his eyes. He shrugged a shoulder carelessly. It had been a legitimate statement. Don't want to drown? Stay out of the water. Not that difficult to achieve.

"Pesky, aren't they," he responded to her claim, half tempted to nudge the horse into a sudden trot. Then again, it was her horse, not his, and would likely completely ignore his attempts to taunt her.

"Something like that. I'm no longer allowed into the city of White River because I accidentally burnt down the Lord's Estate." Asta said as Aleron groaned.

"We're not even allowed in that KINGDOM, Asta." He told her as she blushed bright red. It was obvious that Asta was a bit cursed when it came to luck and grace.

"Yes they are. Especially the ones that buzz in your ear." Millicent agreed, fully ignoring the look he shot her. He was going to behave if it killed him. She bit back a laugh, figuring it wouldn't help. "So you're the one who did that? That lord visited us a while back...I overhead him ranting. Between you and me though, Asta, I think he deserved it at least a little. Man was a right pig. He needed to be knocked down a peg or two..." She shrugged, obviously no bigger a fan of men than Asta. Well, maybe not as much hatred just not nearly enough good experiences to outweigh the bad.

"Lovely. We have an accidental arsonist along for the ride. Why not?" Alek's mutterings continued, even lower than before as he guided Nightshade through the thick forest. It was a feat, really, but Alek knew his way. There was no doubt about that.

'We have a guardsman who can't track so why not?" Millicent murmured back so only he could hear her. She knew from experience his tracking skills weren't the best. Hence how they'd gotten lost a few times. Directions and traveling? Sure. Tracking? Nope. "Behave."

As they were plodding along a seemingly random nut fell from the trees and hit Alek rather hard on his head after his muttered words. It was so seemingly out of the blue, that it only had to be an accident. Aleron simply had no idea how it happened!

"That's kind of you, but it still wasn't something to be proud about. I have terrible luck. I actually believe that the Gods cursed me." She said with a nod, the look in her eyes saying that she truly did believe this.

Millicent sputtered a giggle as the nut thwaped Alek on the head, burying her head in his shoulder to try to hide it but it didn't help much.

Once she got herself collected she looked back to Asta with a sage nod. "I know that feeling all to well..." She admitted, avoiding Aleron's gaze for a moment. It was hard to accept and love her magic when it had caused nothing but issues for her.

"Found you," he grumbled, scowling as something dropped on his head. "What in the..." He looked up and rubbed his head... then slowly looked back over his shoulder, eyes on Asta first and then Aleron. He said nothing and just steadily looked back forward.

This was not going to be a fun few days.
