"You're not even listening..." Millicent shook her head, pretty much not listening after he told her she'd made a terrible decision. Just because she'd decided it it was terrible? She looked him at him and obviously felt betrayed. Everywhere was hostile territory. "Then sit here and wallow...don't give anyone different a chance because you're so blinded." She walked back out, rubbing her arms and taking a breath to calm herself as she walked up to the other pair again.

"I'm sorry...he's....yeah." She gave a half hearted sigh, resting against a bolder and not registering that flowers had bloomed in each wake of her steps. Obviously Alek had the ability to upset her more easily than anyone else. "But yes we're headed to Beyfeild...whenever he decides to speak to me again." She gave a weak smile and a light shrug.

Aleron was over next to Asta, head bent down as he listened to what she was saying.

"All I'm saying is that this is one of the many reasons why you will never see me married. This girl is a princess! What makes this man think that he can just question her judgement like that?! In fact, why is he questioning her at all?" She hissed as Aleron sighed, gathering his patience. He wished that Asta could have left with him when he originally departed from their little home village. Then maybe he could undo the years of hate that had built up within her. He looked over to see Millicent stepping out of the waterfall and over towards them. Silencing his cousin with his finger, he stepped around her and faced the princess.

"It's quite alright. He's just being cautious and for good reason." Aleron assured her as Asta rolled her eyes. "And he'll speak to you again, Millicent. It'll be impossible for him not to and it would be silly for him to hold a grudge over this." He promised her. "I know a back way into Beyfield if you are interested; we won't be taking the main road and that will help to keep you off the radar of anybody looking to harm you. I could also start with lessons that way." He said as his eyes pointedly moved over to the flowers she was causing to bloom.

Millicent nodded looking where he was and blushed lightly. "Oh...yeah I think that sounds like an idea. I have to pack up and coax my steed out. He's...not a fan of water." She admitted with a small smile, glancing back to the cave with a small sigh. She blinked as she heard her stomach grumble and rumble. "Eating would probably would be good too..."

Aleron chuckled as he brushed his hands off on his trousers. "I have food if either you or your guardsman needs anything to eat. I don't mind sharing." He offered up for her. They could always just grab more supplies in town, it wasn't a big deal.

Millicent smiled with a shake of her head, "it's alright. We have food packed if you don't mind waiting a little while. We should be going within the hour." She paused them, looking over at Asta then. "I'm so sorry... My name is Millicent. You are...?" She asked with a sweet smile, feeling bad she'd left the girl out all together.

"Sounds good." Aleron informed her before looking over at Asta as the princess spoke to her and introduced herself.

Asta blinked from where she was curled up on the rock soaking in the sun and looked over at Millicent as she spoke to her. "Me? M'names Asta." She said, feeling awkward that the princess was talking to HER. Royalty didn't talk to her. She was just a... well she guessed peasant was the most accurate description.

Millicent smiled, "Well it is very nice to meet you as well, Asta. I'm also happy to see you weren't hurt when you fell in the water. Nice to know there will be another girl along..." She told her hknestly with a nod, looking down as Kisha nudged her. As if reminding her to eat. "I'll be back out soon. Promise." She added, finally headed back into the cave.

She didn't acknowledge Alek at first, focusing on packing up the saddlebag and pulling out a sandwhich Leila had packed for her. She knew she'd have to get more supplies, food especially, in town. She pulled out an apple and slipped the waterpouch over her shoulder, knowing she could refill here before leaving.

Alek had collected himself by now and was busy stacking his armor toward the back of the cave in hopes it would make it until he could come back for it. He sort of wished he had time to find a fence to pawn it off for coins, but they couldn't risk it... besides, he didn't have a trusty steed to carry it all.

When he heard footsteps, he looked around and saw Millicent gathering her things up. Letting out a breath, he finished stacking the rocks in front of the armor and stood up. He wiped his hands on his pants and walked over to her. "I'm sorry," he offered quietly, keeping a fair distance between them. "I have very...abrasive survival skills. Sometimes I don't think about anything but what needs to be done according to me. You're right in that I don't let anyone else make decisions... I'll work on that if you'll forgive me," he said. He'd grabbed his grey cloak on the way over to her and held it out to her.

Millicent looked up at his apology, then down at his offered cloak. She wanted to refuse it, be stubborn and say she was fine but she remembered the comfort she'd felt last night curled up beneath it. She finally walked over to him, taking the cloak from him with a small smile. "Thank you...and I didn't mean to scold you. I was just really frustrated. I'm sorry too..." She added, offering up the other sandwhich from her bag.

"We'll eat then head out with the others. I'm guessing you'll be riding with me..." She added, a small tinge of pink appearing as she spoke, shouldering her other satchel. She was so happy she'd thought of a horse. Not only would she not have made it very far on foot in that damned gown, but she'd rather share a horse with him than anyone else.

Alek nodded, glad that she was accepting his apology. He didn't always have the best control of himself. There were times when he just blurted what he was thinking despite the reserved nature he seemed to have. It was times like those that got him in trouble.

"I consider the matter over and done with," he assured her as he took her offered sandwich and gladly opened it up to eat. "Yes... I suppose I will be. I can walk beside you if there's no need to go any faster than that... but I think we should make haste out into the countryside. Beyfield is a good three days from here."
