"Maybe that might be so, but only because you know the area better than I. I haven't been here in a couple of years." Aleron admitted before bowing lowly to Farron. "Safe travels Lady Blacksmith, and I hope everything works out for you and your family and you all find a safe haven." He told her as he gave her a smile as he stood up straight. |

"Please...just call me Millicent. Please?" Millicent asked him, wanting to be called pretty much anything but her title. She led him behind the falls, soothing Kisha as she came through. She turned back to him then, still trembling a bit from the cold. "I will be honest...I didn't think you'd come for a while." She told him, fidgeting with her hands. Her dress was starting to making marks in her shoulders. She wanted to get her travel clothes on - dry clothes - but she doubted it would happen for a while. |

Farron nodded over to him, offering a brief smile. "To you as well, traveler. Take care with the guards on high alert. And thank you again for the assistance." She looked back forward as the door opened and her old friend the stablemaster ushered her inside. -- Alek nodded, thinking that was going to be a hard habit to break. He followed her inside though, glancing uncomfortably at the wolf that was there again. Canines of any sort weren't on his list of favorite things, but wild animals that had lunged at his throat were even lower on the list. He set his armor down quietly, noting the big black steed Millicent always rode. That, at least, he felt more comfortable around. The steed he'd many hundreds of times on their outings, whenever she'd wanted to take a ride. He didn't actually own his own horse, he'd simply borrowed one of the other guard's. "I can understand why you would think that," he answered forwardly as he reached for the leather straps that kept his breastplate banded on. "The entire Guard was on alert... and something happened in the city tonight too, to top it all off. But....you shouldn't have worried, Lady." He looked over to her as he struggled with the wet straps. Awkward angles and wet leather didn't make for an easy removal process. "I took an oath to protect you and I would have somehow found my way to you." |

"You too, lady Blacksmith. Be safe." Aleron said to her before finally departing, heading back into the rain and towards the forest where he had left Asta so they could be on their way. |

Millicent nodded lightly, watching him struggle with the straps. She walked over, gently placing her hand on his to let him know she had it. She worked in silence for a moment as she undid the soaked leather straps. "Everyone in these garb makes that oath, m'lord...but I know you said it was different for you and I believed you. I'm just glad I was right." She told him softly, taking a small step back once she was done. She paused another moment before speaking again, "W-what happened in the city?" She asked him softly, wrapping her arms around herself loosely. Her eyes glanced to the pendulum that was peeking out from her satchel. Something inside of her told her asking Aleron for help was a good idea but she also knew Alek would never go for it. Maybe she'd just wait until he was asleep... Alek nodded his thanks, lifting his arm for her to have easier access. Once the straps were undone, he leaned forward a bit and the heavy breastplate just fell off into his waiting arms. He unclipped the grey cloak that was still attached and set the breastplate with the rest of his armor. It would stay in this cave until either it was swiped or he came back for it. He wasn't sure which would happen first. "It's not something I think we should worry about right now, Lady," he responded. He looked over at her and walked over, wrapping the cloak around her shoulders. Whatever expensive material it was made out of somehow beaded the water and it wasn't wet in the slightest- not even damp. It smelled like Alek -- outdoors mixed with a fresh, clean scent that was likely the soap he cleaned with. "We need to figure out how to get you out of the kingdom proper." He ran his hands through his wet hair, scrubbing it a bit so it would move off his face. He walked to the edge of the cave and folded his arms, staring at the rain outside. He really hadn't thought that far ahead.... |

Millicent blinked but gave him a small, shy smile as he draped his cloak around her. She found comfort in the scent that drifted up as she pulled it around her. She walked up beside him, trying to figure out how to bring up her thoughts. "We do have an ally out here...somewhere." She told him softly, opting to look forward instead of to him as she tilted her head a little to see the mud on the hem of her gown. Oh well... |

"An ally?" Alek looked over at her curiously, an eyebrow arched. "My only allies are back in the city, trying to keep the guards from actually using their brains to come out here and search. Who do you know that can help us get out," he asked, not knowing who his sheltered princess would know. Maybe she wasn't as sheltered as he thought... maybe she had help from another family or something. |

Millicent bit her lip, thinking about her answer for a moment. "I'm talking about someone who could help me...you know, not hurt you again..." She said, still opting to look at her feet instead of him. "I know what you're going to say, Alek, but I don't want to constantly worry. I need help if I'm going to be able to control this..." She really thought it was a good idea to involve Aleron, mainly because she didn't want another episode like the last time they were in the woods together. She winced slightly at the memory, at the sound of his head hitting the tree echoing in her head. She pulled the cloak around her a little tighter as she felt a gust of wind blow past. More than anything she didn't want him in danger due to her lack of control. |

"You want us to ask a complete stranger for help?" Alek looked over at her, eyebrows raised at her suggestion. It might have been one thing if it was someone she knew, someone she could trust... but strangers? That seemed like a really bad idea. "Lady, I'm sure you can control yourself... you've been doing it for 23 years. What's changing about it now? It's not as if..." He trailed off a bit before nodding, seeming to believe what he was saying. "It's not as if you'd want to hurt me or yourself." |
