Phillip blinked at her tone and for a moment, his rakish facade was broken and Millicent could see a rather frightening glimpse of the true man he really was before the mask was back in place. Giving Millicent a smirk, he simply chuckled. "We shall see your highness."

"Well I usually don't speak of it so loud in places full of people wanting to do my harm, but yes. I am." Aleron decided to trust Farron since she had trusted him. "You don't have to cll me anything, Aleron works quite nicely." He winked playfully at her.

"You could only wish." Millicent said simply, happily stepping back as the song came to an end. She saw an opening in the crowd and hoped to take advantage but she doubted he'd leave her be. She wasn't that lucky. She headed off the floor anyway, hoping at the very least not to literally be in the middle of everything anymore.

The people parted for Millicent as she tried to escape the dance floor, paying her compliments as she passed. About her dancing, her dress, her hair, her grace... anything to win a few favor points.

As she broke through the back of the crowd, an ill-placed foot caught her ankle and sent her sprawling forward, face first toward the marble floors.

She barely even had time to register that she was falling when two strong, armored arms caught her under her arms and lifted her back to her feet. Alek stood in front of her, holding her upright. "Are you all right, Princess?"

Farron lifted an eyebrow, "Yes well, traveler does just fine for me," she assured him as she continued down the Artisan Quarter's street. She just had to get to Elspeth's shop and they would be alright...

It was then that an ear-piercing shriek rang in the night, just a block over from where Aleron and Farron were. The shriek didn't stop, instead it just continued. Farron knew that was a scream of playfulness or anything of the type - it was a scream of horror.

She darted down a connecting alleyway, now running. As she broke through onto the other street, she slammed on the brakes as the scene played out in front of her and Aleron.

A lone woman stood in front of the open door of a block of row-houses. The house she was standing in front of was lit from the within with a brilliant blue light. The door was ajar and there was a steady stream of thick-looking liquid trailing out into the cobblestone street, and on the door itself was a symbol, etched into the wood of the door and filled in with that same liquid. Blood.

The woman was young, in her teenaged years, wearing a simple dress. She was covered in blood from her knees to her chest and her face was streaked with it. Tear stains marked her face and made trails through the blood.

Farron ran forward to her, recognizing the girl as the daughter of a vintner her father was particularly fond of. This was their family home.

"Magda!" She didn't care that there was a small brigade of guards charging down the street, that people were opening their doors to find out what was going on.

Millicent let out a squeal as she felt herself fall, only having time to close her eyes and brace. Instead of hard marble, however, she felt someone catch her. She let out a sigh of relief as she felt her feet back under her, looking to Alek with a small smile as she felt her cheeks burn slightly. "I'm fine. Thank you." She told him, glancing over her shoulder briefly in fear Phillip had followers her. She looked back to Alek then and the panic set back in. He couldn't leave... "I- I think I'm just getting a little overwhelmed is all." She conceded finally, knowing if something big came up all hopes of control were ruined.

Alek resisted the urge to spill everything right there and then... and it was a challenge. Once she had her bearings, he removed his arms from her and stepped back, allowing her space. They were in a room with hundreds of other people, even if he barely noticed them.

"Princess...I-I need to speak with you." He looked back over her shoulder as well, hoping the asshole hadn't decided to chase after her. "It's very important. Do...you think you can get to the balcony...alone?" He motioned to the wide, attached balcony that overlooked the entire city.

Millicent blinked in surprise at his request, taking a moment to think it over. "As long as I can lose Phillip I should be able to get there with relative ease." She said then with a nod, having a feeling she knew what he wanted to talk with her about. She really didn't want to. Talking about it made his departure that much more real. Something in his eyes made her realize, however, that it needed to be done. "I'll try my hardest. Gods know I need a breath of fresh air." She added after a beat of thought, giving him a small smile.

Alek nodded and then bowed. As he lowered himself, he whispered, "Fifteen minutes... everyone will be seating for dinner and you can slip away in the move from the ballroom to the dining hall." He rose back up and continued walking past her, not wanting to draw suspicion from anyone, particularly the prince.

Millicent nodded wordlessly, glancing to the time. If she could just avoid Phillip and his "gift". It wouldn't be easy...but she'd definetly try. She hurried off towards a quiet corner, grabbing another glass if wine as she did. Bloody hell this night was too long ...

Phillip had lost Millicent briefly, but caught her soon enough with her guard before she moved off on her own. Quirking his eyebrow curiously, he walked over after a certain amount of time and joined her in her little corner. "Ah... there you are princess. I was afraid that I had lost you for good in the crowd."

Aleron was contemplating saying something else when a scream wrenched through the air. It made him jump a little, but not as much as Farron tearing off into the streets at the sound of it. Cursing, he had no choice but to follow as he sprinted off after her, trying to keep an eye on her and not lose her. He almost rammed into her when she came to a sudden halt, having to put his hands on her shoulders to steady himself before looking up and finally seeing what had made her stop. His face paled and his eyes widened as he beheld the terrible scene in front of him. All he could do was thank the spirits that Asta was not with him at the moment.

When Farron seemed to recognize the woman and dart up to her, he cursed again. "Farron, wait!" He said, hoping that she wasn't about to get herself killed and followed after her once more. What the hell was going on here?
