As Aleron was walking, he tensed as he heard the voice of the guards. Slipping into the shadows, he looked over to see who they had cornered. When he immediately recognized the face of the Blacksmith from earlier, he frowned. He thought she had left, what was she doing back? Moving closer to the group, he thought that maybe he should step in. Pulling some of the plants from his bag, he tied a couple of roots together as he cupped his hands around them and brought them up to his mouth to whisper. Kneeling down, he set them onto the ground before stepping back. They burrowed their selves in between the cobble stones and furrowed over to where the guards where standing. As they would try to move forward towards Farron, the roots would appear in front of them and trip them, not looking suspicious since it was possible for weeds to grow between stones not well maintained in the first place. Positioning himself, he stepped into the light just behind the guards and held his finger to his lips as he tried to get Farron's attention. |

Millicent nodded with a simple thank you, looking up as the music came to an end. She turned a bit red when she finally realized they were the only ones on the floor. All others were busy clapping. She stepped back, dipping into a curtsy, "thank you, m'lord. I do hope you enjoy the rest of your evening." She told him sincerely, rising with a small smile. She hoped to be able to dart from the floor once everyone returned for the next song. Something about that dance had stirred up a feeling of unease. |

"What the bloody hell," one of the guards grunted as he tripped over gods-be-damned roots. "Why doesn't the shit squad clean up these streets!?" He reached down and hacked at the roots with his sword, cutting them where he could. "Don't move a muscle, woman. You're under arrest for breaking the King's Curfew!" Farron cursed under her breath again until she saw the guards trip. It was enough of a distraction that her eyes caught something behind them. She looked past them and saw that man, the handsome traveler of all people, standing under another storefront's lantern, his finger to his lips. She warned him silently, insisting with her gaze that he move along. "Now, now, blokes! 'm just a bit lost is all. See, I'm not from around these parts. Did you say a curfew?" The other two brought out their swords. "On the ground, woman," they barked at her. |

Pietro bowed, flawlessly and effortlessly, whereas when she'd first met him, he'd hitched halfway through as if having some kind of back pain. "My pleasure entirely, Princess Millicent," he called after her, brushing himself off as he turned away to exit the dance floor. A princess with magic... what a statement this would be to the world. His face broke into a full smile as he walked back into the throng of people, disappearing among them. |

Aleron shook his head as he made a motion for Farron to plug her nose and not breathe. Pulling out some more herbs from his bag, he whispered some words as he lit a particular one on fire. If inhaled enough, it would cause you to pass out momentarily without any ill side effects. Tossing it into the direction of the guards once it stared to smoke heavily, he moved to the side and quickly walked over towards Farron to help her get out of there. |

Farron raised a brow but lifted her hand to her nose, pinching it and covering her mouth at the same time. "The hell are you doing, woman--" The guards were nearly to her by now, within a sword swing's distance, when they wobbled, weak at the knees and fell over, one by one onto the cobblestoned streets. The moment they were down, Farron darted off to the side, smacking into the handsome traveler as she did so. She whacked his chest lightly, to get him to move a particular way, all the while holding her breath. Her lungs were starting to protest when she ducked down a black alley. She let go and took a deep breath. "Where'd you bloody come from," she insisted, "And what was all that?" |

The night continued with no problems. Well, for everyone except for Millicent. Every time she'd try to gain the captain's attention someone else would get in her way. The main culprit? Phillip. She'd managed to dodge most of his advances but she was now stuck listening to how amazing he found himself as they waited for the banquet hall to be fully prepped for dinner. She was really tempted to pour her champagne over his head...or hit him with the bottle. Why wouldn't he just leave her be?! |

Aleron barely grunted as she smacked his chest before following her down the alley. Chuckling he shrugged. "I was coming back into town to pick a couple of things up that I had forgotten, was walking when I saw you and thought you could use a hand. I mean, your conversation earlier wasn't exactly silent. You really shouldn't be in town." He informed her, his tone not condescending or anything, merely curious. - Phillip was quite pleasantly buzzed enough to finally sit around the mood kill princess as he talked to her about is latest prospects and achievements and whatever else he could find important. "Oh! I seemed to forgot in all of this revelry, it seems I have not yet given you your gift, your highness." He mused as he smirked over at her. |

Millicent took a breath, finishing most of her drink in a swipe. She'd purposefully left some remaining in case she was right about where this was going. If that ridiculous smirk was any indication she'd need it. "Oh? I'm sure it can wait since it doesn't seem that important to you..." She mused, her lips hurting from the polite smile forced upon her lips. |

"Ratty eavesdropper," she said with a light smile as she regained her normal breathing. It was pitch black in the alleyway...with the exception of something glowing beneath Farron's shirt. It could be seen projecting it's orangey-red glow on her skin. It almost looked like she had embers pushed down her shirt. "What was all that? Fancy footwork with whatever those herbs were... Come along, we'll back-way it," she said as she started further into the alley. |
