Phillip looked between all of them with an amused smirk, watching as the Captain tried to subtly threaten him (he would remember that later) and the way that the foreigner clamored for the princesses attention. "I guess I can permit this one. After all, there will be quite a few shared dances between us in the future." He hinted at not to subtly as he smirked again over at Millicent and bowed. "Your highness, I eagerly await for the next song."

Millicent blinked as the man from earlier approached, wanting to go hide in a corner. But...it got her away from the prince for the moment. Maybe it was the lesser of two evils. Annoyance flickered across her face at the fact Phillip spoke on her behalf, and the not so subtle hint. "I will glady take your offer, sire, but-- " She turned her head back to Phillip, "be aware, m'lord no one speaks on my behalf. Especially you." She told him, eyes sparking even though her voice was soft and simple before looking back to the other man. "Shall we?" She asked him with her usual small smile.

((Moon!!! WE gotta get you back in here. xD The hell are Aleron and Asta doing?!))

The dark haired man smiled, nervously straightening his intricate doublet as he took Millicent's hand and walked with her to the dance floor. "Pietro Cyn, Lady Princess," he offered again, knowing she wouldn't remember."And might I add that my country's famous dance music seems complicated, but all you need to do is feel the rhythm in your body. Let the music move you, my Lady." He smiled, his masculine features sharpening as he did so. He was surprisingly tall, a few inches over six feet, but narrow and lithe, light on his feet.

He positioned them on the dance floor and looked over with a nod at the guest musician that had come out to play for them.

((Agreed!!!!!))

"I know, m'lord but if Prince Phillip gets ahold of your name he'll make sure to make your time here hell." She replied simply, trying to keep her nerves down as they set up to dance. The news from the Capitan was still roving through her head at all speeds. She tried then to focus on the new dance, slightly surprised by the choice in music. She'd only heard it a few times before but she followed Pietro's lead with little difficulty.

Pietro easily led them into the dance, the two of them being the only ones to dare attempt it. Though it was quite a haunting melody, the man kept a respectful distance from Millicent, though there were times when he would swing her around that they would get a little closer than propriety suggested. He never kept her there, only did it for the sake of the music.

"My Lady, you dance with the grace of a thousand proud swans," he complimented as the sound continued. "Have you ever been to my home?"

Farron and Randon had reached Verraza's Refuge in an hour by trot. It wasn't a very far settlement, but far enough that the guards wouldn't come out that far to search. After arrival, they had gone to the local watering hole, a sketchy looking tavern. Farron's quick talking had gotten them the most decent of the rooms, though they were going to be forced to share -- times were busy in the Refuge. IT was always full of scalawags and less than reputable types. Even Farron, afraid of nothing, refused to come here without a man by her side.... even if that man was Randon.

Night had fallen and Farron was on edge. She needed to know if Elspeth had gotten the message... she needed to know her family was fleeing appropriately.

So with an assurance to Randon that she would be back in a couple of hours, that she needed to clear her head, she mounted Grey and cantered back to the city. She knew enough of the back alleys to get around without the guard seeing her.

She dismounted Grey just outside the rarely used western gate...and then gave him a firm slap on the rump. He snorted and took off at a full gallop, flying past the two guards on duty into the city. They yelped and glanced at each other, but took off after him.

Farron smiled ; fools. She slid into the city and made her way to the Artisan's Quarter....

Millicent, as she did every time she was flung out among those her step-father wished to impress, focused on the music. Her body tensed the smallest bit each time they drew closer but it wasn't necessarily because of him. She never felt comfortable in close proximity to men. She shook her head at his words, "Never, sire, but my father used to play this music once and a while when I was young. I haven't heard it since his passing." She admitted with a light shrug, surprised the king had allowed the request. He'd done everything in his power to rid the memory of her father from the castle.

Aleron had sent Asta with the horses outside of the city limits, intent on travelling tonight when it would be safest. Safest from those wishing to oust magick users that is. This town was getting to be too risky and he didn't want to be caught in the middle of whatever was going down. However, back in town, he had forgotten a couple of important supplies, so he had to head back in and grab them. He was currently travelling through the artisan's quarter, intent on heading to the apothecary on the other side.

"Ah my sincerest apologies, both for your grievous loss and your withdrawal from our music. They have a saying in my city that 'music is the shining soul within us all'. It reveals all that we are hiding, exposes us more than disrobing ever could." Pietro smiled again at the glimmer of discomfort the princess had when they were forced to come close to one another. His unique eyes darted to his cufflinks that he was wearing tonight, watching as the metal they were made of darkened from a slate grey to soulless ebony. So it was true...

Farron slunk through the town, keeping to the shadows. There were a bloody lot of guards out tonight -- the palace, far ahead of her, glowed brightly. Tonight was their recluse princess' birthdate celebration. Happy fete, Farron thought to the princess idly as she stubbed her toe on a hunk of stone in the street.

"Ah, damnation," she hissed, stopping thoughtlessly under a burning lantern of a storefront.

"You there! Curfew's in effect tonight!"

Farron jerked her head up to see three guards, fully armed, coming toward her. "Blast and damnation," she scowled, thinking she could grab the burning lantern and throw it at them...

The leader of the guards drew his sword when she didn't immediately comply. "You there, woman! Stop immediately and put your knees to the ground!"
