"Hey... hey's okay. I know you didn't mean to. It happens to all of us." Aleron offered her a patient and gentle smile, still staying crouched and continuing to look non threatening to the wolf. The last thing he wanted to do was use his powers and incapacitate it and possibly hurt it. He wanted this to go smoothly, he didn't wish anybody harm. "With more practice and time you can learn to have much better control, but it's not something that comes immediately, even to the most gifted of us." He tried to soothe the girl. "May I come closer? I can take a look at his head if the man permits it." |

"P-practice?! You dense?!" Millicent asked through a tearful, choked laugh. Obviously youre not from h-here." She looked to Kisha though and finally coaxed her to her side, letting her rest her large head on her lap. A sign the man could come closer but Kisha's golden eyes never left him. "I-if he let's you. Pl-please. I ju-just want to make s-sure he's okay..." She stammared. |

"There's always a way." Aleron told her with a shrug, relaxing his stance more once the wolf backed off. Standing up to his full height, he walked over until he was in front of Alek before crouching down once more. "Hi, I'm Aleron." He introduced himself to the man, thinking it would help in the end. "Do you mind if I take a look at your head? I'm quite skilled in the arts of plants and healing." He offered up. |

Another one..... Alek suppressed the urge to remove his sword; he knew the beast wouldn't like it and he couldn't gauge what this newcomer could do. Magic, obviously. Just.....fantastic. This was turning out to be a wonderful day. He took a large step backward as the man approached, "With all respect, sir, but no. You may not look at my head," he informed the man simply. "I'll see the castle healer. There's no need for your assistance. That being said, I think you should leave," Alek said, standing up a little straighter. Just because he no longer knew the woman he took an oath for didn't mean he wouldn't still protect her from everything. "Lady, gather yourself. We need to return." All semblance of Alek's joking, of his ease with Millicent, was gone, replaced by the well trained guard. |

Millicent just stared at him as if he was mad. She was an absolute wreck over this and all he could say was gather yourself?! "Alek please. Listen to reason. Y-you can't return like that to the castle without raising alarm. If you even make it. A wound like that isn't something you ignore or slap dressing on it. This is my fault..just please, please let him help. Aleksandr, if you ever cared about me...please. Please listen to reason." She practically begged. She refused to move until he accepted help. |

Aleron sighed as he stood up and took a step back respectfully. He looked between both the man and the princess as he raised an eyebrow. He wondered if there was something going on between the two of them besides simple servant and mistress. Not that it was any of his business. "Her highness is right. If you value her safety at all, you will get that treated to. Speaking of well being. He turned to Millicent, bowing quickly in respect before pulling out a pendulum and offering it to her. "These are hard times your highness. It's getting harder and harder to try and hide what we are. And with no training to your name and you position, you are double at risk. These here is enchanted. If you call my name I will know and come help you with whatever it is you need. Nobody should have to go what you're going through alone." He offered up to her kindly. |

Millicent, despite being so desperate for help for someone to understand, hesitated at Aleron's offer. "You have no idea how much that offer means to me, sire, but I don't know you..." She pointed out, her voice back to its normal soft tone, wiping the stubborn tears from her eyes. "Tell me...why should I trust you, Aleron?" |

Aleron gave Millicent a soft smile in return for her question. "I can't promise you can, not really but I swear to you your highness that I mean neither you nor those you love harm. I just rememebr what it was like feeling alone and confused in the world, having no control and the fear that I would someday bring ruin to those I love bright in my mind. No one should have to go through this alone and scared." |

Millicent listened, really listened, to him and took a few moments to weigh her options. Finally she reached out and took the pendulum from him. She didn't have to use it but...it almost gave her hope. Something she was so desperate to achieve. "...thank you..." She said softly, a very shy smile on her lips. Her eyes flickered to Alek then, pendulum and journal in her lap. Why was he so bloody stubborn? They wanted to help. She'd begged forgiveness. What more did he want from her?! |

Alek distrusted the man so generously offering to help Millicent. Yes, because it was perfectly normal for someone to come running in who knew precisely what to do. He wished he knew what to do right now...his training was telling him to take her and leave, that she was in danger, both from herself and this man. The normal part of him was arguing that if he fought against her anymore, he'd likely lose her entirely. The blood flow had stopped from the base of his skull, but now it was throbbing. He wasn't expecting any less ; head injuries were always more dramatic than they really were. "Millicent, don't," he said just before she took the pendant. WHY was she so blind sometimes!? He let out a sharp stream of air as she held onto it, practically agreeing to letting this stranger help. "We need to leave," he instructed. |
