Kyler looked back to Kai as she squeezed his hand and he smiled at her. Kissing the top of her head, he knew he was going to miss her like crazy when she had to leave. He didn't want to stay here and fight without her, but it was for the best. Just to know that she was safe back in Lumicera, made him feel so much better. It would also be easier to concentrate back here. Hopefully, this so called war wouldn't take very long. There weren't that many members of the enemy pack, and he was kind of hoping they'd be stupid enough to charge them here at the mansion when they all gathered. It would feel very much unnatural using a gun, but if it meant staying alive another day to go back to his family, he would do it.

Betta wasn't quite expecting Iggy to pick her up, and let out a startled gasp of surprise as he then plopped her down in front of the fireplace. Blinking a couple of times, she scooted closer to the fire as she placed her frozen hands in front of her. "Grazie," She mumbled, before looking up at him and nodding yes for the hot cocoa. It would help thaw her out faster. She really hoped that she didn't get sick from this. It was the last thing she needed at the moment.

They watching from the nearby woods as the man who smelled funny carried the woman into the house. They knew this was a wolves house from the smells all around the yard and in the house. What they wanted was the woman upstairs that smelled like the wolf that lived here. Strike where it hurt the deepest. Fanning out, the six wolves snuck up quietly to the house, sticking to the shadows as they prepared to sneak up and kill the two that were downstairs before reaching their target. Little did the Black Glenn pack know, was that their pack had planned for this already. They had all left last night and arrived early this morning to get into place. Strike while they were all busy planning. Their were wolves all over this pack's territory, attacking those left at home and were left weak and defenseless.

Unfortunately for the wolves, the shadows were Iggy' territory. He froze, eyes snapping to the doors. "Betta. Get upstairs. Now." He told her, "Get Nina into the bathroon and stay there until I tell you. Go." There was no arguing him as he slipped his shoes off to get a better grip and took a slow breath as he braced himself. The markngs on his body glowed fiercely as he clenched and unclenched his hands. There was no turning back. Sorry about the house Devin.....

Nina had been woken up as well by the presence in the shadows. She scrambled to a sitting position ignoring the pain as she felt her heart hammer against her chest. No...no this couldn't happen....

Kai blinked and her and Bryce looked to each other in panic. Kai stood then, much to the shock of those around her, Bryce by her side. "Sorry Haven but times have changed. They're attacking those we left home. Women children the ill....the weak." She told him, her voice having an edge. She was angry. Simple as that. "Iggy just reported to us theyve already begun. As far as we're concerned? This meeting is over. Its time to get the others here. The war has begun and they made the first move."

Betta blinked as she looked to Iggy, not able to keep up. What was happening? She looked at him in confusion, and it wasn't until the wolves burst through the windows did she understand. She quit standing there like a deer caught in the headlights and she dashed upstairs to where Nina was laying on the bed. Closing the door behind her, she locked it, like that would do much good, and looked to Nina. She obviously already knew what was going on from the look on her face. Hurrying to the other girl, she quickly wrapped her arms around her and helped her to the bathroom. Once they were in, she closed and locked the door as she helped Nina into a more comfortable position.

There were five wolves circling Iggy, snarls on their muzzles as they snapped and growled at the young firebender. These wolves were tinier than the ones in Haven's pack. But they were quicker. Much much quicker. It was hard to keep track of them as the danced around Iggy. If Iggy noticed, there was one missing from the reports that the shadows had given him. There should have been six wolves instead of five. All they needed was on scratch. If one of them could possibly scratch him one, it would be game over. It would be even better if they could do more damage, but he was a new enemy and this made them cautious.

Haven didn't even blink at Kai's words. He didn't argue, he just already moved. It showed how much trust he had in Kai's words. He barked out commands, and soon the basement was becoming empty as the wolves rushed upstairs and towards their cars to get to their places, some of them not even using cars, but shifting into wolf form where they could travel through the forest as a short cut and make it to places faster.

Devin was one of the first ones up, about to be out of the door, his mind only on Nina back at home when Kyler grabbed him, and he nearly fell to the floor from the jerk reaction. "Let me go!" he growled as Kyler shook his head. "We all need to go there together. You can't rush off by yourself. Wait for Bryce and I." He said as he waited for the others before finally letting Devin rush over to his vehicle so they could get there.

Sare was going to join them, but Celene hopped down off the stage, and held onto her baby sister. "Serephina, you're staying here. You're not a fighter, and I refuse to let you get yourself hurt or get in the way." She said as Sare whined and struggled in her arms."

"No no no! Iggy's there facing them all alone." She whined as Celene kept a firm grip on her sister, not letting her go anywhere, no matter how much she struggled. She knew for a fact that Iggy could take care of himself and hold off until help arrived. If Sare showed up, it would distract him and that could prove to be fatal. Her sister wouldn't be able to live with herself then, and there was no way she was letting that happen. Sare could wait here patiently at the mansion until this first attack was finished.

Iggy looked around slowly as five of them circled him, noticing one was missing. He judged the quick little buggers carefully, taking Kai's warning about not getting scratched. A small smirk came to his lips and his fists ignited into flames, as did under his feet. The heat from the flames was so intense it felt like the wolves' fur was being sindged. Iggy shot his hand out without warning, taking out one of the smaller ones immediately with a whitehot burst of flames. His mind was focused on the wolves in front of him but also on the girls upstairs.

Nina sank to the floor of the bathroom, a look of pure panic on her face. Devin was supposed to be here. Devin said he'd be there. She needed him. She buried her head in her hands, unable to get a full breath in. She was shaking all over, unable to control her emotions or the pain any longer. "One more is missing...6 in shadows only 5 downstairs." she told Betta, wanting to curl up in a ball but she knew that wasn't possible. It was obvious the sooner Devin got there the better.

Kai nodded, looking to Kyler as Bryce followed Devin out of the mansion. The prince's mind soley on getting back to Betta. Kai caught Kyler by the hand, though, giving him a silent smile and a kiss to the cheek Before helping Celene keep Seraphina back. "You need to calm down. Iggy will make it through this. He's one of the most stubborn and bullheaded people we know. He's going to be okay, Sare but he has to do this..." she glanced over to the Betta couple, Ian looking ready to leave. "As soon as Bryce and Betta get back with Iggy you're out of here, Adelle." she told her, her voice gentle but firm. She didn't want to stay behind but she knew Kyler would have a conniption.

The wolves yelped and shot back as Iggy burst into flames, feeling the heat of the flames lick their coat. They didn't run away though, they just started to move faster, even after one of them went down. As one or two would distract him up front, one would try to nip at his heels from behind, still wary of the flame that was around him.

As Iggy faced off the with wolves below, the one wolf who had snuck off had shifted to human, and had easily climped the house to the second story bedroom window. Smashing through, he then sniffed before looking in the direction of the bathroom and shifting back into wolf form.

Betta nodded at Nina's words, eyes looking around. Her eyes caught on the solid metal towel racked, as she pulled and pulled until the tiny screws ripped out of the plaster wall and she held the rack in her hand just as she heard a window smash in the bedroom. Looking around the rather large bathroom, she spotted a laundry basket and put that between her and the door. It wouldn't do anything very likely, but it was worth a try. To try and distract it if even for a second. She then stood in front of Nina and waited, holding her breath as she stared at the door. There was no way she was going to let this wolf hurt Nina.

Kyler gave Kai a swift kiss back before quickly catching up with the other two outside, and hopping into Devin's jeep as the man floored it back to his house. With his speed, it would only take a few moments to reach his house since he knew all the right backroads through the forest.

Sare just shook her head as she continued to make the very wolf like whining noises as she struggled in her sisters arms. Soon enough, the struggling began to die down as she sort of collapsed with tears in her eyes. She didn't want anything to happen to Iggy. She couldn't bear the thought of it. He had to make it out of his okay. She couldn't do this without him. She just continued to whine as Celene kept a firm hold on her sister, holding her tightly in her arms as she pressed her cheek against hers, nuzzling her much like a wolf would.

Adelle looked over at Kai with watery eyes with a nod as she looked back to Ian. "I'll be back before then, gorgeous. I wouldn't dare let you leave without saying goodbye." Ian promised her as he gave her a long kiss just in case before heading out of the room as well.

Bryce just held on tight as they rocketed through the back roads, still not quite used to cars as a mode of transportation. "One is up in the bedroom with the girls...Iggy's got fou- make that thr- Okay two downstairs.....Devin just...ignore the smoke..." He filled the other guys in, knowing it would be quite the scene when they got there. He just wanted to get back to Betta. He wouldn't be able to live himself if anything happened to them.

Nina watched as Betta ripped the towel rod out, "Dont let him scratch you." She told the other girl, having gotten the same message from Kai. Tears were running unnoticed down her face and she let out a muffled scream as she heard the window break. Her hands were clasped together, keeping a lid on the sparks in her fingers. She didn't want to hurt Betta...

As Bryce checked in Iggy had dissapeared, only to reapear behind the annoying fucker who kept nipping at his heels. It was a swift motion with a sickening crack and the wolf went down, neck broken. He stepped over him, arms still enflamed. They were tiny and fast, but they didn't rattle him. He needed to keep a cool mind and deal with these two pains in the asses so he could get upstairs to the girls. He cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders back ready for anything they threw at him.

Kai watched as Celene took care of her sister before heading over to Adelle. She sat beside the poor young woman and took her hand gently. She just sat there with her, knowing the hell going through her mind. She wasnt the nurturer usually. That was Nina. It was a new role she was trying quickly to addapt to.

Devin didn't even really pay much attention to what Bryce was relaying to them, his mind solely on Nina, and making it to her. There was a ringing in his ears that wouldn't go away, and a foul taste in his mouth as they bounced over the back roads, and him sorely wishing the jeep would go faster.

Kyler heard Bryce though as he nodded. "Think it's possible for Iggy to leave one alive? Maybe we can question him." He asked Bryce, having to keep a cool head during all of this. He had to think clearly. They couldn't afford stupid mistakes because he couldn't think.

Betta nodded, feeling like she couldn't breathe. She was so scared right now. She wasn't a fighter. She didn't even really know how to defend herself. And here she was about to go head to head with a wolf shifter with dead claws and teeth? She couldn't back down though, because she was the only thing standing between the beast and Nina. She felt so sick to her stomach, and she nearly screamed as the door was knocked down and there was a snarling and growling wolf there. There was a little foam around it's mouth, its ears pinned back over scary yellow eyes. It approached her carefully, crouched in an attacking position as Betta tightened her sweaty hands on the pole, wishing to God somebody would come up here before it was too late. With last minute thinking, she kicked the full basket of laundry, distracting the wolf as it tried to removing the clothing off of itself as it stumbled around. Taking her chance, she swung as hard as she could, hearing a yelp as the metal pole stuck the wolf on the hip. Both of her entire arms vibrated from the metal pole contacting with bone, having a hard time keeping hold of it. Before she could backpedal away from the wolf, it knocked her down and she felt with a whoosh as all of her hair left her body. If she hadn't pulled the bar up between her in the wolf in time as it lunged at her, she would have been gone. The wolf was incredibly strong, and she didn't know how long she could keep it off of her as it snarled and snapped at her, trying to reach her, flecks of spittle landing onto her face as she fought to keep it off.

The two wolves watched as another one of them went down, and they knew they needed to make an escape soon. This obviously wasn't going as smoothly as they thought. Knowing what their Alpha would do to them, however, kept them in place as they continued to attack Iggy, running around him in a circle, lunging in and swatting at him with their paws and snapped at his legs.

By this time, Devin had arrived at his cabin. He barely had enough time to put it in park, not even worrying about turning it off as he jumped out of the seat and sprinted towards the house. He didn't even seem to see Iggy as he sprinting up the stairs and towards his and Nina's room. He blew the door off of its hinges, not even caring at the moment as his eyes caught the scene in the bathroom. Seeing pure red, he didn't even think as he shifted into his large grey wolf form and lunged at the wolf attacking the girls. The much smaller wolf didn't even see it coming as Devin landed, grabbing the wolf by its neck and giving it a swift jerk. There was a sickening crack as the wolf's neck broke, and Betta was able to scramble away. Devin didn't even care that the wolf was dead, he continued to throw the dead carcass around like a rag doll, fierce growls coming from his throat as he slammed the body into many things. It was obvious that Devin's wolf had gone feral at the sight of his mate and friend being attacked, and he wasn't letting go anytime soon.

Adelle looked to Kai with quivering lips as she tried to keep from crying. She squeezed her hand before turning and wrapping her arms tightly around the other expecting mother in a hug. "They're going to make it." She said, more to assure herself, than to assure Kai.

Bryce paused, "he's not happy but he said he will try." He relayed as they pulled into the driveway. He was the second one out of the Jeep, running into the house, unlike Devin his eyes caught Iggy fighting the two remaining wolves. He snagged one of them up in a ice shackles connected to the charred floor of the living room. "Dont bother." He snarled, ice whirling around his hand as he waited for Kyler, Iggy finishing off the final wolf with a blast of flames.

Nina let out another muffled scream as the wolf attacked Betta. When Devin came in she wanted to run over but she was frozen to the floor. She soon realized he wasnt going to stop anytime soon even though the enemy wolf was dead and they were safe for the moment. "Devin...DEVIN STOP!" She pleaded, her voice cracking but it was the loudest she'd been by far. "DEVIN PLEASE STOP...."

Kai wrapped her arm around Adelle, kissing the top of her head lightly. "They're going to be fine, sassi...I know its hard but you have to think positively." She told her gently, running a soothing cool hand across the other girl's back. "You'll be back here with Ian before you can even begin to miss him and his cocky smile..." she added with a small smile.

Kyler nodded, sprinting into the house after the others. He watched as Bryce successfully capture one of the two remaining wolves as Iggy killed the other. He felt nothing for the other wolf as he looked to Iggy. "You okay? No scratches?" He asked as he silently contacted Haven to let him know that they captured one of the wolves. Haven replied, saying he'd send some a couple of people over as soon as possible.

At first, Devin didn't hear Nina, but when her voice cracked, and he heard her again, he stopped, Spitting out the carcass, the large grey wolf, the size of small pony, looked over at Nina, tail tucked between its legs. Whining, Devin walked forward towards her. Laying down, he covered his bloodied muzzle with his paws as he looked at her with Devin's same gold eyes and whined more as he scooted a little closer to her.

Betta groaned as she tossed the metal rack to the side, leaning against the wall of the bathroom as she sat there and watched Devin and Nina. Her back and arms were as sore as hell, and her side felt like it was on fire. Pulling her shirt up a little more, she saw a small scratch just above the waist band of her jeans and it caused her to make a face. At least it was just a scratch though, and that was all she had to suffer. She had no idea that the nails that had done the scratching had been poisoned.

((Devin's wolf! http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm128/soccerfaerie/Bleeding%20Moon/WolfDevin.jpg ))

Adelle nodded, giving Kai a watery laugh at his words. "He does have a really cocky smile, doesn't he?" She asked as she pulled back and wiped at her eyes. She had only been up for a couple of hours today, but already she was completely exhausted. She was stressed, and she still had the queasy feeling in her stomach, having a feeling she would be emptying the remains of her breakfast into the toilet soon enough.

Iggy nodded as the flames on his arms went out in a puff of smoke. He had a few nips on him but they'd heal within the hour. "Im fine." He told Kyler, looking to Bryce then, "Go. Weve got the son of a bitch. Betta needs you."

The prince didnt need to be told twice as he rocketed up the stairs, skidding to a hault at the entrance to the bathroom. He walked over and squatted next to her, "Hey beautiful....you okay?" He asked her running his hand through her hair. His sharp eyes caught the scratch but he didnt want to alarm her just yet.

Iggy cursed as he heard Bryce, "Dammit!! Tell Haven they scratched Betta. Bryce hasnt told her yet but its small..." he told Kyler, really tempted to kill the wolf bolted to the floors.

Nina watched Devin with wary eyes as he finally stopped and slowly came towards her. "Wolf boy what did you do...." she wiped the tears from her face before crawling over and just burying her face in the fur of his neck, arms wrapped as tight as she could around it. She was numb to the violence, all she knew is he was home and he'd saved her and Betta....
