"You have somebody from Avalon here?!" Adelle demanded incredulously as she looked over at the girl that Nina was talking about in surprise. Oh she had so many questions for this girl! "What's Idirscartha?" She asked Nina curiously as she took a seat on one of the seats and allowed Ian to sit next to her.

"Oh speaking of paint, I'll have to show you the mural that Kai painted in the nursery. It's gorgeous." Kyler commented with a smile over at his mate before turning back to Ano.

"You and those surprises." Betta sighed as she made a small face but followed him happily. "And I am. I love the relaxed atmosphere. It makes it easier to employ Peter's lessons and be normal. I like that, being normal." She smiled up at him as she leaned up and kissed his cheek. "What about you?" She asked as she pulled back.

Nina smiled with a nod as she took a seat with Devin on the couch across from the other couple. "Yeah, Angelina trains with the High Priestesses there." She told Adelle, jesturing over to the dark-skinned girl off in the corner laughing at something Jason had said. "Idirscartha is the Seperation. The moment when we put the barrier between your world and ours. From what I've read we basically became tired of being burned at the stake for witchcraft, the fey tired of others taking credit for their work or being disected. Our ancestors saw how humans treated the enviornment and wanted no part of it infecting our lands. Humans don't trust what they can't explain by logic and reason. We can travel back and forth with relative free will...but without us you can't cross over to our lands." She explained, giving a small shrug. That was the simple version anyway.

Ano nodded with a small smile, "I'd love to see it. Hopefully I'll be able to put some time aside relatively soon to come and visit. Have you been cleared to travel back for Sheng's wedding?" He asked his daughter and Kai nearly face-palmed; she'd completely forgotten about that.

"No...not yet. I'm sure I'll be fine, papa." She assured him with a wave of her hand but she couldn't help but be nervous. She wasn't about to ask them to postpone the wedding for her. She was sure she would be fine to travel...right?

Bryce just grinned, kissing the top of her head. "Yes, I think this is what we all needed. A nice, relatively stress free night." He agreed, leading her up a stairs and careful she wouldn't trip in her gown. He was really so happy she felt comfortable in his home...

Adelle leaned forward curiously as she drank in everything that Nina told her. "That's just so fascinating! I'm sure there's more to it, but the gist works just as well. Oh there's just so much I want to ask." She sighed as she leaned back, curling into her husband's side as Ian wrapped his arm around her.

"Go ahead, gorgeous. Ask away." Ian smiled down at her as he pressed a kiss into her hair before winking over at Nina playfully.

Kyler looked over at Kai as her father brought up Sheng's wedding and smiled slightly at the look on his fiancee's face. "We will have Cristol look at you either tonight or tomorrow morning before we leave." He promised her, putting it in his mental list of things they needed to do.

Betta smiled as she followed him upstairs, making sure to be careful where she stepped and hold her dress properly. "Are you sure you won't tell me where we're going?" She asked him as she looked up at him with her dark brown eyes, slight pout on her full lips.

Nina giggled lightly, playing idly with Devin's fingers as she spoke. "Yes really ask anything. I love talking about it..." She assured the other girl with a smile. It was also a welcomed distraction from what her mind was lingering on. She hadn't told anyone she'd had a second dream the night before. She didn't want to believe it. He only brought distruction with him.

Kai just nodded with a sip of her juice but for once she didn't argue it. She knew it was nessicary, she just hadn't quite gotten over the fact Cristol had gone behind her back and told Kyler. "So when does Thanos return home?" She asked curiously, tilting her head a little. It was unusual for Kora's brother to return early.

"He'll be home in a forenight. After you all leave of course. Don't worry, we're trying to work on him..." Ano assured her but Kai looked unconvinced. They may have been trying but it didn't mean he was listening.

"Thanos has always had a control complex. When things don't go his way heads tend to roll." She mused with a shrug, knowing he was pissed at her engagement to Kyler and how it has screwed everything up. "Well, as much as I love the man I simply don't have the energy to deal with him at the moment." She chuckled, seeming amused at the thought of the next time she'd see the Emperor. It was like seeing Haven, an amusing challange.

Ano shook his head with a quiet chuckle, "I think we're all slightly relieved he's not here. You never did explain why you were here though..."

Bryce chuckled, kissing her pouting lips lightly, "Stop pouting....you'll love it." He assured her with a small grin before leading her through a smaller doorway off one of the landings. The stairwell was brightly lit with torches and wound up towards the sky. "Come now, amore....where's the trust?" He teased with a wink as he helped her up carefully.

"Well..." Adelle trailed off as she tried to figure out what question to ask next. "Oh! What is your religion like? I mean your goddesses? I heard a little, but not much. Are they as intertwined and close to you as ours is? Does yours play a major role in your history as well?"

"You know... that sounds really familiar." Kyler mused, thinking of Haven and his control issues and how things had to go his way. He figured it was just an Alpha type personality trait. The more Alpha like the man, the more he needed to assert control over situations and want to be in the forefront he noticed. When Ano asked why they were here, he looked to his fiancee then and nudged her gently. Did she want to tell her father or have him do it. He had a feeling that they couldn't keep it a secret from the man anyways.

"Yea yea, that's what they all say!" Betta teased him, giggling as he winked at her; following him up the stairwell, dress in hand. "I don't know... amore. Trust is a hard thing to come by. I don't know if you've earned it yet." She teased him back, really curious to see where he was taking her.

Nina smiled a little bit, “My goddess is Incendi and while she’s close to us she’s rather um temperamental. “ She giggled lightly, “There are four main deities, one for each sect. Trust me, you know when they’re mad at one another...Aqui, Kai’s Goddess, is much more interactive with her people than Incendi, as you can see by the marking on Kyler’s face.” She mused with a small shrug, “Very, very few are visited by Incendi and mostly its only when they seriously make her mad. Even fewer are visited when she like them. As far as our history goes yes, its how we got our gifts. She taught a select number of our ancestors how to control and inherit the powers over heat and light as her siblings did in their sects. “ She explained, letting that sink in a little bit.

Kai looked over as he nudged her before sighing, explaining the shit hole of a situation they’d been in. Of course, she was a lot more blunt with everything than Kyler would’ve been. She actually winced a bit as her father ran a hand over his face. “Papa...”

“Kai...why didn’t you leave?”

“I couldn’t just leave them. I couldn’t leave Nina.” She pointed out stubbornly. to which he just sighed and shook his head at her. “What I was supposed to just leave her? Leave the others? I helped, Papa....” She insisted, not understanding why her father couldn’t grasp that.

“But its not just about you anymore, sassi....” Ano reminded her gently, knowing his daughter had always put others before herself, especially the few she was close to. She was a warrior, and he knew she could care for herself but that still didn’t make it easier to swallow that his pregnant daughter had insisted on staying in a warzone with a bright target on her back.

Bryce chuckled, pausing as they came to a landing and a doorway. “Ouch, love....that hurts...” He teased her, opening the door to reveal a room lined with windows which gave one a 360 view of the castle grounds in the fading light. “Well?” He asked her as he closed the door behind them. Despite no fireplace it was remarkably warm and cozy in the tower perch. There were two lounges and a table but it was kind of obvious no one really came up here. In the table there were clear drawers with a few different ancient texts with one obviously missing.

Adelle listened with curiosity, smiling and nodding at Nina's words. "That sounds most fascinating! It sounds like our branch of deities and family behaves much more than yours door and get along better. "Have you ever met anybody that has incurred her wrath?" She asked her, leaning forward even more. There was just so much she wanted to learn!

Kyler stayed silent as Kai explained to Ano what had happened back on pack territory. "If it makes you feel bette sir, my Alpha was much more unhappy about the decision than you are. I'm pretty sure that she gave him an anuerysm." He explained, remembering just how well Haven took having foreign dignitaries stuck in his land that he was responsible for.

Betta giggled as she followed him into the room before gasping as she twirled around to try and look through all of the windows at once. "Oh it's bellisimo, amore!" She twirled to smile brightly at him. "What is this room used for? I love it." She admitted, noting the table and clear drawers with texts within them. Walking over, she wrapped her arms around Bryce's waist and leaned into him as she hugged him tightly. He was the best. Truly.

Nina nodded, "They're a dysfunctional little group..." She agreed, thinking over Adelle's question, "No, not personally, but my mother said her uncle used to have nightmares often of her, threatening his lineage if he didn't put an end to his sons' plotting. Well, unfortunately he wasn't successful because...well I'm here!" She shrugged, "From what I've heard she's cursed that part of me family, makes their life horrible in one way or another." She obviously felt little pity towards that half of her lineage.

Kai couldn't help but let out a quiet laugh at Kyler's words. Probably didn't help her big ol' grumpy teddy bear that she'd yelled at him but hey, she knew Haven wouldn't listen otherwise. Ano just sighed a bit, “In a way, yes, but I also know how my daughter can be. She would've li-”

“No, papa, I wouldn't have listened if Bryce threw a hissy fit.” She pointed out, not mentioning she would've been more inclined to leave if Kyler had given it more of a fight. She knew she'd been useful, though, that she'd helped. She regretted nothing. “When have I ever listened to him?” She asked skeptically with a raised eyebrow even though her father still seemed to be figuring out the earth phrase.

“In either case you need to learn that its not just you at risk anymore, sassi.” Ano pointed out before standing, “Kyler, do you want anything to drink while I'm up?” He asked simply, Kai rolled her eyes a bit but she knew better than to take her father's words too severely. He was concerned, it was sweet, but she could handle herself. She fully believed being a mother would only enhance her protective nature.

Bryce chuckled lightly, kissing the top of her head as she hugged him. “To be quite honest no one is really sure what it was used for. You have to remember, love, how old this castle is. Its one of the original parts...No one uses it much for anything anymore. Andreas, Kai and I found it when we were much younger and we've been trying to figure out its use since...” He explained, leading her into the center of the room. “The funky thing is the windows are enchanted. We can see out, but outside they just see brick.

"And I say it's a good thing you're here. Just saying." Devin smiled at her as he kissed the top of her head. He was sorry what happened to her family, but that just meant it had led her to him in the end.

"Wow! I've heard stories of deities who can do that. We have one, The Huntress -she's the deity of all cats- well I've heard that when she does get involved she visits them in dreams and makes their life hell if they piss her off. Nightmares like you wouldn't believe." She explained.

Kyler stayed quiet as his fiancee hashed things out with her father. He shook his head at Ano's offer for a drink and smiled. "No thanks, I'm still working on mine." He held up his first drink which was only half gone. He knew that Ano was only being a concerned father and it was one of the reasons that he stayed out of the conversation. They didn't need his input.

"What? Really?!" Betta asked as she looked around at the windows again, dark brown eyes sparking in curiosity. "That is so interesting. I think I like this place a lot, amore." She admitted as she moved from his arms so she could look around and explore. She made her way over to where there was an obvious manuscript missing and turned to Bryce. "Was it gone before you discovered it?" She asked him.

Nina smiled at Devin's words, giving his hand a squeeze. Yeah it sucked her family was dethroned but if it meant possibly never meeting him she'd gladly give up anything. He was her everything. She looked to Adelle with a small smile, "There's the outright scares then there is the subtle tactics. Drove me uncle mad...." she mused with a small shrug before tilting her head curiously. "What is your deity like? I've heard about the Shepard but yours is different...yes?"

Once Ano was gone Kai let out a small sigh and looked up at her fiancée with a small smile. "Maybe you should've said it..." she mused with a shake of her head, "So what's the plan once we go back?" She asked curiously as she sipped at her drinks.

Bryce smiled as he watched her, thinking for the umpteen time that he was the luckiest bloke ever to exist. She was absolutely his version of perfect. When she asked about the manuscript he paused, "Well...one was but Kai took another. Got it rebound...even studied with the High Priestesses in Avalon so she could read the old runes. We didn't know till later she'd realized it was an ancient text on demonology. Holed up and translated the book....She was desperate to know what was going on with her...with the evil presence. Ended up saving her life earlier this year...." he explained fully with a small shrug knowing Kai would be a wreck if she ever lost the ancient text.
