Kyler gave Kai a soft look as he smiled gently at her before speaking up again. "See, isn't that much better? And mommy is already feeling better too. It's always a good thing when mommy feels good, right princess?" He asked her, not noticing the looks they were getting.

"But I'm a horrible sharer." Ian pouted as he made a face over at Nina, causing Adelle to giggle.

"Well you're going to have to. I really like Nina's idea." She told her husband with a smile as Devin groaned.

"I don't want to spend time with Ian. He's on his own." Devin complained as Ian scowled over at him.

Kai couldn't help as her smile widened slightly, letting out a relieved sigh as Fiona finally calmed back down. Her daughter was really never still but at least she calmed. "Thank you..." she mused, kissing the side of his head before hearing Mina giggle. She gave her a face, "What are you giggling at over there?"

"The adorable couple across the table from us. The slight blush I never get to see in my bebina's cheeks." Mina teased as Angelina bit back a giggle of her own. An embarrassed Kai was a rare thing indeed.

Nina laughed at the boys' protests, leaning over to her beau then. "Think of it as gaining....oh spirits...brownie points! Which I still think it's odd that brownies in your land are a dessert but..." she waved it away with a small smile. She was rather nervous they might have to kinda forge something like they had for Kai to go to school. She didn't have the memory skills the other girl had though so it would be interesting.

"Anything for you, love." Kyler replied simply with a dimpled smile before chuckling at Mina's teasing. "Her red cheeks are pretty cute, aren't they?" He asked Mina playfully, winking over in his fianceè's direction as he finally moved back, taking his hand off of her stomach where their daughter lay. He instead refocused on his seconds of dinner. He was quite frankly contemplating thirds as well.

Devin made a face before sighing. "You play dirty, Sparky. Pulling out the good cards in your hand. How can I tell you no when I have the chance to earn brownie points?!" He demanded of her, trying not to grin. "And I don't know why they call them that, but you have to admit that they're very yummy." He poked her side lightly.

Kai made a face at Kyler before continuing to eat but it was a bit slower. Last thing she needed to do was stir Fiona again. About an hour and six courses later they were led into another, smaller room. Well, small compared to the grand dining hall. It had numerous couches and lounges, a few servants coming around with drinks, and three fireplaces roaring for heat and light. There was a small group off to the side playing music, including a young woman on what looked like some kind of harp.

Nina smiled at her boy as they walked in, fingers laced with his. Tonight was definitely what she needed. Yeah it was formal but it was also laid back. "So do you think you're finally full?" She teased Ian and Devin, winking playfully at Adelle.

Kai smiled as she settled into a lounge, tugging on Kyler's hand so he'd join her. She was stuffed to capacity and it was helping distract her. She smiled a little more as her father sat across from them. "So how have the two of you been holding up? Or, rather, I guess I should say three...." he asked with a small smile. Kai knew her father wasn't overly thrilled with her having a child so early in life and with her history but he'd also learned early on she wasn't exactly conventional.

Devin was happily content, and overjoyed to see his mate so happy. Seeing her happy was all it took for him to be happy. He chuckled at her teasing words as he looekd over at his Beta who had his arm curled around his wife's shoulders who was leaning into him contently.

"I may be but I don't think he is." He pointed out as Ian sighed dramatically.

"It's true. I'm simply wasting away. Look at me! Skin and bones!" He waved down his obviously well built, healthy body with his free hand, grinning all the while.

"Yea, wasting away." Adelle quipped dryly as she rolled her eyes over in Nina's direction. "I think you ate enough for three people, husband dearest. How can you possibly still be hungry?!"

Kyler was currently sitting on a lounge chair with Kai, happily full and content. Dinner had been amazing and this night was incredible so far. They really had needed this. He simled as Kai's father joined them, nodding his head to the man respectfully. "We're doing well sir, how have things been on your end over here?" He asked curiously.

Nina giggled, nodding and absently taking a drink from one of the waiters going around. Devin would notice a faint hint of alcohol in it; obviously a mistake. She hadn't told Karmen yet and the girls who they were told to be aware of were the three mothers to be. "They're boys. They'll eat ye out of house and home if ye let 'em. Wolves especially..." She teased with a playful wink as she raised the glass up to her lips before pausing. "Ye know, Adelle...If ye are interested in the tales and such here I know Kai just gave Jared a book on 'em. Not all of em, mind ye, but enough to get ye started. Maybe ye could ask to borrow it? Then I could fill in what ye don't understand." She suggested with a smile, drink momentarily forgotten.

Ano gave a small smile and a shrug to his soon to be son-in-law. He hadn't been so keen on the idea to be honest, especially when Thanos lit into him but for the first time since her mother had passed on Kai seemed truly happy. He couldn't deny her that... "We've been fine. Some trouble with pintres lately but nothing more than normal..."

"He means to say pirates, and what do you mean? They've been attacking our merchant ships, haven't they..." Kai sighed, rubbing her forehead as her father couldn't help but chuckle softly. "Papa why didn't you tell me?"

"What could you do on earth, child? Kai Lynn, there is no need to worry. Thanos sent some troops out yesterday and the issue solved itself this morning." He assured her, only gaining a reproachful look from his youngest. "I know that look. Your mother gave me that look a lot. You don't think I'm telling you the truth.."

"No, papa, I believe you're telling me the truth. Just not all of it." Kai elaborated, making a face as he shook his head with an amused sigh.

"Kai, believe it or not we can survive without you. I know its tough on you not being in the center of everything but you have to learn to trust your brother and I to handle affairs while you're away." Ano gave his daughter a small smile as she just sighed and sat back against the couch. Her father was one of very few people she actually thought before she spoke and obviously she was taking her time to sensor herself. He looked to Kyler then, "She this stubborn with you as well, boy?" He asked, an amused spark in his eyes.

Devin laughed with a shake of his head at his mate's words, happening to lean in towards her enough to get the whiff of traces of alcohol in her drink. Without thinking about it, he traded it out for his drink which he knew contained no alcohol in it; he was playing it safe tonight. "Here, Sparky. This one tastes better." He assured her, not wanting to let everyone in on what happened. Ian knew because he couldn't really hide it through the link with his Beta, but his Beta was also good at keeping secrets and wouldn't tell anybody.

Adelle smiled at Nina's offer and nodded several times. "Oh that sounds amazing! I really do like the sound of that. It's just so interesting to me to learn about different cultures and their beliefs; especially their mythology. There's just so much to it and..." She trailed off with a bright blush gracing her pale cheeks. "Sorry, I'm rambling." She apologized as her mate merely grinned at her, love obvious in his eyes.

Kyler just sat back, relaxed in his seat as he listened to Kai's conversation with her father. He almost chuckled at the tone she used with the older man, recognizing it immediately because it was one she used often. His mate didn't realize it, but she had some slight control issues. He did chuckle at her father's words, however, as he smiled and nodded. "All of the time, especially when I try to get her to actually sit back and relax. I've realized that books make it easier, however." He noted with a smile. "Of course, her stubborness is endearing and I don't think I could last with anybody else. She's the only one who can keep all of us wolves in line after all." He winked playfully over at Kai.

Nina gave Devin an odd look as he swapped out her drink but Adelle quickly caught her attention again. She giggled lightly with a small shrug, "Its fine. I do the same thing. But I'm glad ye think it's a good idea." She mused with a nod, sipping at the new drink Devin had given her. "What I find fascinating is the fact that some of our myths are so similar to yours...."

Kai made a face at the two men sitting with her as they kept the commentary up. She wasn't THAT controlling. She just knew from experience things either never got done our didn't get done right if she didn't do them herself in some capacity. Ano chuckled with a smile. "Ahhh yes....she's always been an avid reader. Gave me peace every once in a while and it was one of the few activities which didn't involve her somehow possibly injuring herself...."

Bryce smiled, tugging gently on Betta's waist. Like Devin he'd been careful to keep liquor out of his girl's hands. He'd seen the effect of too much and didn't want to risk it. Not here. "Come on...there's something I want to show you." He murmured, knowing no one would miss them for a few minutes.

"Really?!" Adelle asked with interest, blue eyes sparking up as her husband chuckled. "Like which ones? What if they had the same place of origin and we just didn't know it?" She mused specutavely with a bright smile over in Nina's direction. She really really liked Devin's mate and she hoped that the girl stayed around forever.

"Trust me, I've never been more happy that my cousin Jared sells books before in my life." Kyler grinned. "It's just about the only way I can get her to relax. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that she's always been like this." He admitted as he smiled over at his fiancee.

Betta looked over at Bryce curiously as she raised her eyebrow. She had been nervous tonight, but not as bad as she usually was. She had noticed that throughout the night when she had ordered something alcoholic it had disappeared so she had just stopped and kept to something else. "Show me what, amore?" She asked curiously, keeping her voice low.

Nina giggled lightly, "Like...King Arturo...or ye know the lad as King Arthur. Angelina actually comes from Avalon. Humans seem to 'ave idolized him but the people of this realm weren't so keen on him." She explained with a small shrug, "I don't know much more than that about that legend though. I know that after the Idirscartha our worlds and their mythology divided for good. Well...kind of." She made a slight face as she tried to explain it better.

Kai made a face at them, "It wasn't the only one, papa." She pointed out, to which he laughed.

"Yes, you used to hole up and paint and draw. Worst fright was when she began training that Griffoth." He mused with a shake of his head as Kai just laughed.

"You knew she would get big...." She teased her father with a light wink.

Bryce chuckled, leading her out of the room, "What fun would it be if I told you?" He asked her, giving her waist a gentle squeeze as he lead her through the halls of the castle. "So, you having fun?" He asked her curiously, tilting his head a bit.
