((O.o *offers you cookies* ))

Devin smiled as he easily sat next to Nina, his arm going around her shoulders on the back of the couch. When she offered him some of the juice, he nodded as he took a curious sip. "Very strong isn't it? I like it though, it tastes good." He told her with a smile. "So what's the plan for today?" He asked curiously. He knew Nina wanted to go see her family soon, he just didn't know when she wanted to do that.

Sare shook her head as she placed her hand on his jaw. "I'm fine. You kept me safe." She offered him a tiny smile. "Come on, I hate seeing you hurt. Will you get it healed now please?" She asked him, her voice still hoarse and a little shaky. When he asked his question, she tilted her head a little before nodding. "Hazel found a little puppy locked in a cage in the basement. She thought it was a grey wolf, but it's an artic wolf shifter. She's very dirty and sick, but she's still alive. Artic wolves were said to be extinct. Seth must have paid a pretty penny for her." She said with a shudder as she explained. If this had gone South, that could have easily been her.

Nina smiled as he approved of her drink, taking it back with a small shrug, “I know we have to stop by Linnea’s to see Kai’s dress…but I think you and me might split off for a little bit. My folks’ place is right near there. We’ll meet the others at Uncle Gwayne’s later on…” She told him, knowing Cristol was going to want to see her as well but that could wait…right? She wanted to be normal for a little bit…or at least pretend to be…She rested against him a bit; just happy she didn’t have to leave him behind. She remembered Erik's letter then, but she'd wait to read it until she got changed and they were on their own in their temporary room on the first floor.

“Can you stand?” He asked her instead, having no issue with carrying her or going by shadow but he wanted her to choose. He listened, shaking his head with a low grunt. People like that bastard made him sick. People like his brother…He looked to Sare then, a flash of reason seeming to go through his eyes. “I know why my brother is fighting for custody…” He mumbled, running a hand through his hair and almost looked sick. Lily was going to be a very beautiful girl when she got older…but he knew many would pay a pretty penny for a young virgin bride…or worse. If his brother could withhold custody until she hit about twelve years old he feared what might happen to his niece. There was no if, Iggy had to believe he would gain custody of the children and they would find a way to deal with his brother. He only hoped they were safe for now...

Devin nodded, smiling as he kissed the top of her head. "Not a problem, Sparky. You know I love your family anyways." He told her. Her twin brothers were an absolute trip, and her mother was one of the sweetest ladies he had ever met. He rubbed her arm soothingly as she leaned into him, hoping that this trip to visit her family, especially her mother would help her heal a lot.

Sare shook her head, feeling bad as she wrapped her arms tighter around him. "I don't think so." She mumbled. She hated not being able to do things for herself. She looked up at him with a frown as she saw the flash in his eyes before hearing his words and becoming more confused. It took a little longer to catch on, but when she did, her eyes widened as she covered her mouth. "Oh surely not! His own daughter?!" Her eyes teared up at the thought. No child deserved that, or for them to learn that their father would dare do that to them.

Nina nodded with a smile, always so relieved when she thought about how willingly her family had been to accept him into their home. Even her father was warmer than she thought he'd be. Then again he had Iggy to be the family hard ass, no need for two. She finished off her drink and looked to him with a small laugh, "We've got to get changed before you can be seen in public though...." she teased him lightly, knowing Bryce had probably grabbed something for him.

Iggy nodded darkly, "He's never been attached to them, only a means to an end. Jeremiah he can't really control anymore but he can control Lily and her brother through her. If anything....he'd harm them just so I couldn't have them." He admitted to her shifting her in his lap so he had a better hold. "But soon enough that horror will be a distant memory...soon you'll be going shopping to your heart's content with Lilith & maybe even giving Jeremiah advice on girls." He added with a small smile, wanting her to think of some positives.

Devin chuckled as he looked down at his clothing. "Oh yea. Guess I can't walk around in jeans huh?" He asked with a grin as he poked her side. "Did you want some more juice? You seemed to finish this off fast enough." He teased her. He knew it would help if he treated her normally, so that's what he tried to do most of the time. He never showed her how worried he was about her sometimes.

Sare looked like she was going to start crying again, finding their problem to be so horrible. "But that's so sad!" She told him as she buried her face into his chest. When he tried to lighten the situation, she sniffled before nodding. "I would love to go shopping with her. And I don't know if i'd be any good at giving girl advice." Her cheeks turned pink as she looked up at him. "Will you get your shoulder healed now please? I hate seeing you hurt." She told him.

Nina giggled softly but shook her head a little, "No...I'm fine but thank you..." she insisted gently, setting her glass down and resting against him as she watched the fire crackle and pop. All of a sudden a wave of guilt hit her. It happened less frequently now, but hiding it never got easier. Her shoulders tensed a bit and her arms looped around her stomach. At least she wasnt crying this time....

Iggy watched her carefully but gave her a small smile, "Well considering we'll be spending quite a bit of time here...you know how female wolves can be." He mused with a small, teasing smile. He sighed then with a nod, "Where is she? I dont think me appearing in front of kids is going to help keep things calm...." he told her simply, knowing he looked like a mess but she was safe and that was all that mattered to him.

Devin just smiled at her as he kissed the top of her head. When he felt her tense, he looked down at her and saw her wrap her arm around her stomach. His arm around her tightened as he rubbed her arm. Tilting his head down, he murmured into her ear so only she could hear. "Hey, it's okay baby. I'm right here and you're going to be okay."

Sare just nuzzled her head against his bloody chest, not caring how bloody he was. "She's in her make-shift clinic. I've already warned her, so she's waiting for us." She croaked out as she tightened her arms around him. She didn't want to leave his side for a long time. She didn't care what for. And deep down, she was scared that if she left him alone for one second, he just might leave her. It was stupid, she knew, but Diana's words had hurt a little more than she thought they would.

Nina nodded at his words, taking a deep breath to try to push everything away but it was in vain. "We need to get changed...." she mumbled back, wanting to be on her own with him if even just for a few moments. She was extremely tired and the surge of guilt wasn't helping her any. She just needed some time to regroup. The last thing she wanted was the others to worry about her. Maybe reading Erik's letter would help her...

Iggy nodded, kissing the top of her head as they vanished. Soon enough they were in a chair in the makeshift clinic. His shoulder burned a bit now but still he ignored it. He was getting healed because of Sare's insistence. He looked up at Celeste with a small smile, "Before you panic most of this blood isn't mine..." he assured her, even though he new a good portion probably was.

Devin nodded as he kissed the top of her head. "We'll be right back." He told the others as he helped his girl to her feet. He guided her to the room they were staying in, keeping his arms tightly around her. When he closed the door behind them, he pulled her tightly into his arms as he hugged her and pressed kisses into her hair. "I love you so much, NIna Fields. And I'll aways be here for you I promise. We can get through this."

Sare just closed her eyes tightly as he transported them by shadows, opening them again when she knew it was safe. She looked around as she saw her sister coming towards them with a smile.

"I smell tiger so I figured." Celeste teased him as she tapped at her nose. Usually, she would ask to be left alone with the patient, but she saw a look in Sare's eyes that kept her from asking. "Can you show me your shoulder?" She asked. Bringing a wash cloth and bowl of water, she took the seat next to them. She studied his shoulder, running her fingers over it lightly. When she was done looking, she brought her magick forward and healed his shoulder up until it was good as new. She then took her wash cloth with warm water, and cleaned all of the blood off of him. "There, good as new." She told him as she patted his shoulder and kissed his cheek and the top of her sisters head.

Sare looked at Iggy once Celeste was finished, inspecting his shoulder for herself before just hugging him tightly, burying her face into his chest. She really hoped that she didn't get him sick.

"How are you feeling, sweetie?" Celeste asked her as Sare nodded her head, mumbling something under her breath. Celeste chuckled as she looked to Iggy for translation.

Nina gave Lily a reassuring smile before following Devin down the hall. She just burried her face in his chest, wrapping her arms around him tight as she could. She had been so good and felt so normal not even a few hours ago. To feel herself slipping was almost sickening. Finally, she took a deep breath, looking up at him with a ghost of her usual smile. "I'm sorry, its just going to take a few moments is all...little overwhelmed." She admitted, trying to supress the guilt and brokenness that threatened to overtake her again.

Iggy kissed Celeste on the cheek in thanks as she healed and cleaned him up. He watched Sare inspect his shoulder then bury herself back in his chest. He chuckled softly as Celeste waited for a translation. "Your guess, sassi, is frankly as good as mine. I think it has something to do about being sick...She doesn't get sick often does she?" He asked her, almost an amused smile on his face. Although he wouldn't lie, if she was this bad about a bad cold he was a little worried about what she'd be like pregnant.
