"Sort of? I don't really paint for pleasure these days." she shrugged. "Here." she stood up. Walking over to the wall next to the kitchen, she pulled a painting down. It was one of the few she had done in Cali since she had gotten here. It was an extremely colourful depiction of a girl that looked like Kiera barrel racing. There were a ton of warm colours that made it stick out. It showed definite talent, that was for sure. Walking over, she handed the painting to Daniel. "Nah, I moved here several months ago. I come from up north." she shrugged, keeping it vague. She was from Colorado, but she rarely liked talking about it.

Daniel looked over the painting with a small smile as she spoke, nodding a bit. "Well you definetly have a talent." He told her, handing her the piece back. "Shame you don't get to use it as much..." He paused shaking his head with a slight laugh, "Sorry, but you should've seen the reactions the first time Keira went into the rodeo arena. She shut them boys up nice and quick though...." He grinned a bit with a shake of his head as he leaned back. "Okay, so I adjust my earlier statement...Damien patched both of us up quite a lot..."

Sydney nodded and waved her hand, still making eye contact. "I was born in Augusta, Maine. My parents liked to move around a lot so....I'm lucky I remember at all," she said with a little chuckle. There was hardly any difference in her lie versus her truths. She was clearly good at that.... She saw the changes in her memory and mentally frowned; she pushed back again, her nose twitching. No....Brooklyn hadn't fallen on that slope... she'd busted her ass just trying to get up on the skis in the first place. And why was Austin there? He'd been sick in the ski lodge the whole time. She pushed his influence back further, with a lot more 'oomph'.

----

Claire frowned. "Contenders.... what are you talking about? Tell me her name then. Tell me her name and what she is... only then will I tell you anything. And you can forget about trying to play the nice guy with me, Patrick. I'm not easily broken... I know what you people do to people like me. I'm not stupid or jaded."

-----

Adam stopped by the door, glancing in. He saw Ysabel there and wondered if he should just leave her here to do paperwork for the next three hours. Finally, he resigned with a sigh. He really didn't want to have the Captain up his ass.

"Ramirez," he said in a calm voice. "Are you coming or are you just going to sit on your ass all day." He leaned against the doorframe, surprisingly on what should have been the 'bad' shoulder, arms folded across his broad chest.

Aeryn gave a slight smile, not know what to say on the compliment. She just took the piece back and walked over to stick it back on the wall. Walking over, she resumed her place on the couch, chuckling at his words. "From what I know of Kiera. I completely believe it." she smirked. "I would have loved to see her actually preform at the rodeo. I bet she was amazing." she said before shaking her head. "God that sounded sappy. Makes me wanna shoot myself." she muttered.

Ysabel looked up from her computer, and over at Adam with a raised eyebrow. She noted him leaning on his bad arm, and was curious. Either he was a glutton for punishment, or he had some kind of freaky healing power that she was not aware of. Shrugging, she stood up and stretched. "Yea, I'm coming. Just hold your horses, pretty boy." she said with a smirk. Gettting up, she walked over to the door, arms crossed over her chest. "You know... you make it way too easy for someone to jerk your chain. Piss you off and all that. You should work on that."

Damien saw her nose twitch and smiled a little; that was her tell. “Maine? Oddly enough its one of the places we stayed for a while. We weren't built for a northern winter though.” He mused, his expression never changing even as she shoved him out further, but he held on just at the edge. He pushed back in with a shrug, messing with it even further. He started out slow again, but soon enough it was comparable to an acid trip. The point was to see at what point, if any, she'd let go of the memory. “Have you ever been to the midwest? You know, Grand Canyon and all that?” he asked her, tilting his head a little. Keira looked over to Ben and made a face before looking to the door. She was wondering what was taking Aeryn so long...

((….....but I knows nothing and now Trevor is grumbling at me...lmao))

Daniel laughed, “You don't sound sappy. You sound like a good friend.” He countered with grin, “Yeah, she was amazing but she was an even better jockey. Being tiny suited her and came to her advantage for once.” He shook his head, there was a certain glint to his eye when he talked but it was probably just the lighting. He looked back with a smirk, “You know Damien sings?”

"Don't sugar-coat it. It's sappy." Aeryn wrinkled her nose at the thought. She smiled slightly as she listened to Daniel talk about Kiera. "I believe it. She's pretty much awesome at a lot of things." she told him before her eyes bugged out. "Wait what?! No way!" she demanded with a gaping mouth. "He sings?! I am so..." she shook her head. "He is totally catching hell from me." she grinned evilly.

Daniel laughed as he saw the evil grin spread across her face, holding up his hands. "You didn't hear it from me!" But he smirked, "Yep! He may have been cute and on his way to Harvard medical, should he have picked human, but he was still socially akward in high school and first year of college. Found out one day he has a half decent voice and took to the guitar like a fish takes to water....suddenly the girls couldn't get enough. Hence what I meant by being sick of the drooling." He told her with a grin. He had his fair share of looks as a rising football star as well but....some things he was picky.

Aeryn couldn't keep the grin off her face as she continued to laugh. "Oh man! This is priceless!" she said as she laughed more. "Guitar huh? So he's like one of those... blue grass, country twanging kind of singers?" she asked with a snicker. "Ooh ooh! We gotta get one of those pieces of wheat to stick out of his mouth too and a banjo player and some rocking chairs!"

Daniel laughed as well, sheking his head a bit. "Nah....He never had as strong an accent as Keira and I. He sang some country but the upbeat stuff like Dierks Bently and Brad Paisley. His favorite was "Waitin on a Woman". Its slow, but its a cute song and he could sell it. That though he never played in public. Said he was saving it or some shit like that." He chuckled a little, "Best had to be the first time he dedicated a song to a girlfriend.....I think you could litterally ring his shirt out by the end of it because she was a Buble fan, not a country girl. He pulled it off though...." he shook his head a bit as he looked back to her. "I will die if you tell me my brother is sudenly some smooth player..."

"Eh, it's still country!" Aeryn pointed out to him. She didn't know the song he was talking about, only having listened to one or two country songs in her life. However, Buble, she had heard of. at least. She snickered as she tried to imagine it. "Sadly! I can't tell you that. Although I wish I could just to see your expression and you die." she teased him. "But nope. Actually, I haven't seem him with a girl the whole time we've been here." she told him. "I asked him about it a couple of days ago. But... your brother is a sap." she smirked. "Some shit on finding the right girl or something." she shrugged.

((If some man ever sang Michael Buble to me, I would ask him to marry me lmao. God I love his music xD))
