Aeryn nodded, remembering them making a brief reference to her dating him. She listened as she watched a particularly gory scene on the TV, her mouth flickering into a frown as she heard what Trevor actually did. Hell, if she had been Daniel, she would have ignored Damien and killed the bastard anyways. It wasn't a loss, and it would have saved the pain of what they were doing right now. "You should have killed him. I know I would have." she told him, a cool look in her eyes as she flicked them over to him. "Damien has a fucking heart of gold. It's a bit annoying sometimes. I know he means right, but he's got to grow out of that." she informed him. Or maybe it was a good thing that he did. Somebody in their little group had to be sane.

"Anyways, that's all I really wanted to know. For now." she shrugged. "I might ask some lesser, noncommital questions later. You know, for silly stories and blackmail and all." she smirked slightly. "You said you have some questions? Ask away, kid."

Daniel nodded, "It was back when the police actually did their jobs but since we were in his place with no real motive....hell all he needed to do was step on the property at night and I couldve done whatever. Gotta love southern law..." he shook his head with a small chuckle, "Grow up the way he did and he one really didn't have much of a choice. He is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet but dare mess with someone he cares for...." he trailed off with a smirk, looking back to her. "I guess I'll start with a basic....how did you end up coming to know Keira and Damien?"

"I'm starting to see that." Aeryn agreed about Damien, ignoring the smirk he shot her. Thinking back on his question, she shook her head with a chuckle, mind on the memory he brought up. "We met here in Los Angeles about... eh, eight or so months ago? I had had a bad day. So I decided to a bigger bitch than normal. Saw Damien trying to con somebody, and I stepped in and ruined it for him. Out of spite because if I couldn't have a good day, nobody else could." she shook her head. She was a winner, wasn't she?

"Later on that day, I ended up seeing him. Again. At this diner I was eating at. He was there for Kiera whose a waitress there. When I saw that they knew each other, and found out that she was my waitress, I became the worst customer ever. I'm pretty sure that if she was allowed, she would have put a bullet into my brain." she chuckled, seeming to find it amusing. Anyways, after her shift was over, which was just the same time I finished eating, we left and had it out in the alley. She ended up saying something in that little annoying Southern twang of hers, and I just... cracked up laughing. Wouldn't stop laughing either. The two looked at me like I had a loose screw in my head. I then did something rare. I apologized. Of course, you know how much of a hot head Kiera is.

"I ran into Kiera a week later. Somebody was accusing her of being... uhh... talented that we are. And I... kindly disposed of the person for her with my own talent. Of course, the person didn't remember any of it, so nothing happened. But Kiera warmed up just a little bit more towards me. Albeit, a bit grudgingly.

"After that, it took about a month or so of constantly running into each other before we finally became friends. I'm not the easiest person to tolerate, so I'm surprised we got along at all." she shrugged.

Daniel raised an eyebrow but let her finish, chuckling at her comment about Keira being a hot head. "My brother....Damien the boy with the heart of gold, as you say, is a con man now?" He shook his head with a small laugh, "That's the hardest to believe although..." he looked around the apartment. It was definetly something a waitress couldn't afford. "...I guess the proof is all around me. Well, now your a bit of a spitfire yourself but I don't see how your completely intolerable.." he mused and he looked back to her with a small smile. "I'm guessing the three of you...well you and Keira at least, have grown close by the way you talk about her and the way you want to protect her."

He paused, looking back to the tv then seeming to mull over the questions in his head. A lot of them only Keira and Damien could answer. Finally he looked back to Aeryn, "What is it like around here now? I mean...where we were from there were waves of raids....Has it changed at all or are police still in the government's pocket?"

"Yep. He's probably the nicest con man you'll ever meet." Aeryn snickered with a smirk. "It's like some kind of contradiction I'm sure." she told him. "And no... I'm pretty much intolerable. You've only seen super nice me today. I'm pretty sure I'm the only reason why Damien keeps smoking." she snickered again. "Well Kiera and I combined together. I'm surprised his hair hasn't turned grey yet because of us." she leaned back on the couch, propping her feet up on the coffee table. "Yea... we're pretty close. Kind of pisses me off. Because that's one more person I have to look after besides myself." she shrugged. "But in the end, nobody better mess with her. I'm not afraid to kill for her." she said.

When he asked about what it was like, she took a bit to answer. "I don't know what it was like in your home town, but it seems a little calmer here. Maybe because it's such a large city? Who knows. The police still work together with the government. As is evident by Trevor. But... not all of them are. As much as I hate to admit it, a police officer saved Damien's life the other day. And ours. I admit to losing control. It was... an interesting night." she shook her head.

"If he didnt go grey from the shit Keira and I pulled I think he'll never go grey." he chuckled with a small sigh. Daniel listened with a nod, furrowing his brows a bit. "Its rare that a cop will help... You guys were lucky. What happened exactly? I mean, how the hell did Trevor find her?" he asked, tilting his head a little. He wanted to know the situation he was walking into whenever she decided to let him off probation.

"Dunno. This asshole cop whose been hounding Damien forever comes in with his reporter fuckbuddy to get a bite to eat. Then out of nowhere he pulls out an arrest warrant as well as a warrant to search his house. Puts Damien in handcuffs and leads him outside to his car. Kiera and I follow, wondering what the hell is going on. Then these guys who could only be feds walk up and start asking questions. The asshole deters there questions. And as soon as they're gone, he pulls Damien out of the car and uncuffs him." she shrugged. She didn't bother telling him how she almost gave them all away with her anger issues, since it wasn't really needed.

"Trevor is even more of a mystery. I met up with Kiera after her shift was done yesterday, and she was freaking saying how she thought she saw him. We assure her he was dead and everything would be fine. So she goes on her date and during the date, which Damien and I were there, luckily or no. He just... shows up. Fucks with her head a little before she fights back and we leave. Don't know how he found them. But we found out he was working with the feds, however, as he so graciously told us. Bastard." the temperature in the air dropped a little as there was a flash in her eyes. However, it disappeared soon enough.

Daniel listened, shaking his head a bit. "Where we're from it was like the Salem witch hunts...." he paused as she continued about Trevor, "I know when he was inside he had two objectives. Get to Keira and make her pay, and of course find a way out. I'd been offered the chance to flip, work for the government but I refused. Hence, " he gestured to his arms. "Trevor apparently took the deal with the devil. Whatever team or whoever is in charge has their hand in practically every pocket of ever branch. They have pulls down to the local bakeries. I'm guessing he's had her on a radar for a while. After all, both of them are considered "high risk" targets. It wouldn't have taken much convincing for him to gain access to every thing they had. The only question is...why now? Why so public about it?"

Aeryn looked over at Daniel, no longer paying attention to the TV. "Yea... well I don't care what deals he took. As long as he dies tomorrow, I'm happy." she shrugged. "I don't know what his plan is, or what he's thinking. I'm just hoping that after tomorrow he won't plan or think anymore." she sighed as she tugged on some of the feathers in her hair thoughtfully, a cold look in her eye. "You understand why I can't let them see you until after then, right?"

Daniel nodded, "I understand....not thrilled about the concept obviously but I understand." he told her, shrugging a little, "So who exactly is involved with it? I mean....You know how to fight a mental case, right?" It wasn't acusitory but curious. He knew how Trevor fought and it was anything but fair.
