Sydney shrugged and waited calmly for her 'training' to begin. The memory was fresh in her mind, like a film over her 'inner' eye. She could see the snow and the mountains, her brothers and sisters. Her sisters skis crossing together, her brothers trying to be cool on snowboards. It was so amusing it near made her laugh out loud, but she subdued it. She moved her hazel eyes to Damien and tapped her chin. "The food?" she asked, thinking. "It wasn't bad. A little spicy for my tastes, actually. I have a pretty weak stomach so ....yeah. That's not gonna be my friend in a few hours," she teased with a smile. She could see the shifts. She knew the memory like the back of her hand. She noticed the subtle changes; the boys weren't so sharp, the stark white of the snow and the bright colors of their ski jackets weren't quite as bright. Her mental consciousness naturally began to correct the scene; Dallas' jacket was red again...Brooklyn's was canary yellow. There we go. Much better. On the outside, she seemed calm and plain as day, her smile not faltering, not even a bead of sweat on her brow. Prior training made this a little easier than it would have been for someone green like Ben. --- The first thing Claire did was cough. She tried to even give the guy a slight break and turn aside. When she was done coughing, she turned back to him, her eyes narrowed before she heard the commotion outside. Her eyes flicked away. ....Yes...this was going to be great. "You don't know my sister," she finally said, either ignoring his introduction or just plain not hearing it. "And if you think you're going to bargain with her for me, you're an idiot. I don't play ball when I know there's no game going on." She looked hard at him. |

Adam set his jaw. Why couldn't he have just kept James....? What exactly had he done to deserve an insolent, bitch of a partner... even if she was capable. Capability didn't make up for the Captain taking away his errand boy. That was just fucking annoying. When he came to the front, a young man was sitting on the bench against the wall, his ankle resting on his knee and his hand holding it there. He was dressed coolly; a well tailored suit and glasses. He didn't look like anyone Adam knew. "Mr. Hyung.... this is Officer Jensine," the receptionist said with a smile. Adam rolled his eyes; she was the biggest whore in the entire department. The well dressed man stood and walked over, a slight smile on his face as he held out his hand to Adam. "Officer Jensine. A pleasure. I was given your name and number via a mutual friend of ours." Adam ignored the proffered hand and just stood there, watching the man. "Did you now. I wasn't aware I had many friends." Michael chuckled and brought his hand back, sliding into the pocket of his slacks. "I'd like to talk at length about a project that I'm working on. As you noticed on my card, I'm an agent of the CIA. When would you be available?" Adam stood firm, no outward surprise written on his face. He hadn't even glanced at the card; it was crumpled in his pocket right now. "I have a schedule at the front desk of my open times. Feel free to choose one." He nodded and turned to leave. "Agent Hyung." "Ah, just a moment, Officer Jensine." Michael smiled as he held up a hand. "This is of great importance and I would much rather not have to wait very long." Adam was tired of Feds seeking HIM out. It was only a matter of fucking time before one of them nosed around too close. "Tomorrow then. First thing in the morning. Precinct opens at 8." "I will be here. Thank you for your time, Officer." Michael smiled, shifted his glasses and turned to leave. Adam scowled as he turned away and headed out toward the garage. Just another Fed fucker to deal with. Wonderful. |

Daniel felt his heart pounding in his chest. "Well....well yeah..." he answered, confused as to why she suddenly looked so upset and aggravated. All he cared about was that they were alive and well. They'd managed to stay out of harm's way! It was a miracle...It didn't overly surprise him Damien hadn't told her about him. His brother had always been secretive and protective of his family and never shared too much with friends. He took the picture back, giving her the first true smile. "Well I'll be damned...." He breathed, looking back to her as he pocketed the photo. "...I should be happier than a pig in mud but...why do you look so distraught, Aeryn?" His eyebrows furrowed a bit, "Don't you get it? My brother and Keira are alive!" he urged, but the look on his face was conflicted. She obviously knew something he didn't. -- Keira watched the girl carefully, laughing a bit at the comment about the food. Damien nodded, "Not everyone is built for Texas chili..." he chuckled, pushing a little harder on the barrier. "Now I want you to tell me a lie to the question I ask you. Where were you born?" He asked her, his face calm and steady, smiling a bit. He saw her correct the changes and started really warping things around. The one difference was he could tell she was lying easily, Trevor couldn't... ..... He rubbed his temple, "Claire, please understand I'm trying to help you." he sighed, "Your sister is a very bright young girl...actually one of our top contenders." he added, looking back to her. "Claire, understand not everyone here is against you. Not everyone wants to hurt you." |

"Yes yes, they're alive. Be happy." Aeryn muttered as she sighed. Stopping, she turned and looked at Daniel. "You can't talk to them. Not yet. You have to wait." she told him bluntly. "I'll not have you jeapordize the mission, or their lives." she said. "God, this is going to be a pain in the ass to keep from Damien." she muttered as she ran her hands through her hair. Ysabel check her clock as she frowned at the time. Had it been nine hours already? She only had three more to go until her shift was done for the day. Jensine had been gone for a while. It didn't concern her much. With him gone, the room had a much more peaceful and happy feeling. It was kind of nice. Even though she already missed pissing him off. |

Daniel looked at her, jaw set as she spoke. "What the hell are you talking about? I find out they're alive and you're telling me I'm going to have to wait?! What the hell is going on...." he never raised his voice. Like Damien he barely yelled, but his voice had a harder edge to it. He could barely wrap his head around what she was telling him, ignoring his stomach fully now. "Aeryn....I don't understand..." |

Aeryn clenched her jaw as he spoke to her in an angry tone. She understood where he was coming from, that didn't mean she had the patience to deal with it. Giving him a chilly look, she shook her head. "What's not to understand? You can't see them right now. You can see them tomorrow night after it's all over." she told him. "If you show up now, you will distract them and they will most likely be caught or die." she told him as she crossed her arms over her chest. "They're going after Trevor tomorrow. Ah, that name sound familiar?" she asked in a dry tone. "I found a way that we could finally get rid of him. And YOU are not going to ruin it. You've waited long enough, you can wait another day." |

Daniel paled, if that was possible, "Trevor is dead." He said bluntly, "I watched him die, Aeryn." he told her, hoping this was a sick joke. "They infused him with some crap from a healer. They pushed him further and further to death until he didn't wake up again. So no Aeryn, I don't understand. If what you say is true....which is rediculous....he has to be treated like a vampire of sorts. Stabbed through the heart and head detached. At least that's what I was told from others on the line." He told her bluntly. "He's way passed normal. He was an abusive ass but they seriously fucked him up in there." |

"Well now he's out for blood." Aeryn did not feel any sympathy whast so ever for the man trying to get Kiera. "I don't care what they did to him, what he is. I just want him dead." she said, sounding... cold. She didn't care what they had to do to kill him. He just needed to die. Yesterday preferrible. "So, I'll warn them. But you still aren't seeing them. Let's just get you some food, and I'll figure out what to do until then." |

Daniel shook his head as they started walking again. He was pissed off, confused, but he couldn't think straight running on empty. He stayed silent for the moment, running sceanarios through his head. "We should've killed him when we had the opportunity. After what he did to Keira..." he trailed off with a huff, coming to a stop outside the sub shop. He always kind of resentful Damien stopped and pulled him off and away when he had. Some shit about not throwing their lives away.... |
