"Well then I guess I simply have to withold dessert until you admit your true feelings for me, doll." He mused, tapping the side of his head. He was grateful that he could control how far in and personal he could dive into a person's thoughts. It had taken him awhile to do so but he was grateful for the talent. "So what shall it be, Aeryn?" He grinned, leaning foward on his hands.

Aeryn's mouth opened as she gaped at him, but nothing came out. She shut her mouth before opening it again. "You wouldn't dare!" she said before pausing. Narrowing her eyes at him, she gave him a chilly look. That's the thing. This was Damien and he WOULD dare. "You. Are an ass." she muttered before just... giving this heaved upon sigh. Looking back up at him, she kept solid eye contact with him, her grey eyes looking straight into his green ones. "I Aeryn Grayson, hereby admit, for the love all dessert, that I like you, Damien Shea. Satisfied?" she asked.

Damien threw his head back laughing as she finally spit the words out. On impulse, he grabbed her cold hand, kidding the back of it. "See? Not as hard as you thought." he mused before putting her hand down and held up his hand. Another waitress came over with a smile, stack of menus in her arms.

"Well hey there! What can I get ya?"

Damien leaned back with a grin, "Dessert menu, please." he nodded in thanks as she walks away. He handed Aeryn the menu, "Pick what you want..."

Aeryn frowned at him, but her eyes sparkled, seeming to make her a contradiction. When he took her hand and kissed it, she yanked it back almost immediately afterwards. "Yea... easy for you to say." she muttered but she seemed to calm down a little. She had come a long way. The first time that Damien had touched her, she near gave him hypothermia in a fit of anger. She was slowly getting better at the touching thing. She didn't like it any more than before, but she wouldn't almost kill people and get unbearably angry when they touched her now. Well... certain people that was, like Damien or Keira.

When she was allowed to pick dessert, she smiled as she looked over the menu. "I want the chocolate lava cake. With a side of vanilla ice cream." she closed the menu and looked back over at him. "AND if you're super nice to me, I'll let you share with me." she smirked.

Damien chuckled at her reaction, half expecting a smack. He'd never been bothered by her reactions. She'd warm up to him eventually, no pun intended. He looked over at her over the rim of his glass. "I haven't been anything but nice to you should my memory serve me correctly." he mused with a smirk. She was a tougher cookie to crack than most, but he'd get there soon enough.

"Really? Give me five examples just from today." Aeryn teased him, sounding amused as she leaned back in her seat, her feet once again resting on the seat next to Damien. "If you can give me five good examples, I just might share my glorious chocolate with you." She flicked her red hair over her shoulder. Her left hand was idly playing with the water rings on the table, making small designs with them. Sometimes, when she wasn't paying attention, some of the water would start to solidify and turn into an icy mush.

"One, I bought you dinner. Two, I'm buying you dessert. Three, I told you I do indeed like you. Four," he brushed her hand to showcase the slushie rings. "I'm now warning you against doing that.,." he chuckled as he leaned back, "and five, if you're up to it, Keira mentioned a place holding a "mutant" rave tonight and wanted to bring you so I'm extending the offer."

Yes, like every major city, even LA had their subculture. Damien was never a huge fan of the party scene but he went to keep an eye on Keira. He honestly hoped Ayern would take up his offer. He'd rather not be stuck alone again as Key used her powers to stun, amaze, and even frighten potential suitors.

Aeryn was fully expecting him to give up and hog her chocolate all to herself. That... was not what happened, however. She frowned as he pointed out all of his reasons, moving her hand away from his and sticking it into her lap. "Damn..." she muttered. "I was really hoping you would fail. And a rave huh? Crowds aren't really my thing..." she looked away, a distant look in her eye. Shaking herself out of it, she looked back at Damien. "You said its a mutant one? Guess someone needs to help you look out for Keira." She finally said. "Mutant ones are more dangerous than regular raves. I don't know what she sees in them." She muttered.

Damien chuckled at her response before shrugging at her question, "She's 19....she doesn't get a lot of chances to be "herself". She feels like the raves are a way for her to keep her skills fresh." he rolled his eyes, "trust me, I've tried talking her out of going but you know as well as I how incredibly stubborn she can be. Apart from grounding her and literally locking her in the basement nothing is going to stop her from doing what she wants." It was a feature of Keira he'd always loved and yet it drove him up a wall.

He looked to Ayern with an appreciative smile, "I'll owe you big time. Here they're convinced were secretly a couple. There I seem more like a creepy stalker."

Aeryn snorted, shaking her head as she crossed her arms over her chest. Wasn't that the understatement of the year? She knew just how stubborn her friend was. She could give a rock a run for its money. "Sure we can't just lock her in the basement?" She asked before sighing. "Yea... I guess I can accompany you guys tonight. Its not like I had anything else planned." She rolled her eyes before chuckling at his words. "Stalker, eh? Sounds pretty accurate to me you freak." She teased him.
