"What I want you to do is hold onto that memory as if it was your only lifeline but, not let it show on your face. You must act as if everything is going along to plan. Trevor won't be able to see the memory but he can try to manipulate it."

"Also...after we've shown you these ropes, I have to go over a few other things with you about him. Things Damien can't recreate." Keira added, pulling her hair up into a high ponytail.

Damien nodded, "Make sure you look at the image and commit every detail to memory. If things start to shift, push back. Not hard, but enough so it shifts back. Now, every person's reaction is different. Keira's eye twitches when I tried with a little pressure, but when I really start to push..."

Keira stretched her neck a bit, as if it were horribly stiff from sleeping wrong. The one thing she never did, though, was break eye contact. She rubbed at her neck before finally looking back at Damien who flinched slightly, having been ejected rather roughly. She looked to Sydney, "Take a deep breath and focus in on your memory before you approach him. One rule to follow is never break eye contact with him once he enters. You give that up, you give him an open pass."

----

Trevor saw her eyes, but also acknowledged the nod. He very gently pulled the gag down so it hung around her neck. "Now, you were going to say something? Remember, Claire, pick your words wisely." He said as he leaned back, watching her with complacency.

Sydney observed and listened, nodding here and there. It was just like the training her father gave her....only more specified. Dad's training was just slam 'em down and get 'em out. Apparently this was a little more tactful. "I understand. It makes sense." She shrugged and looked over at Damien. "Might as well give it a first go, huh? This is one of those things where it's either dive in or fail miserably." She smiled and rolled her shoulders. The hard thing was the eye contact. Her father's training was the opposite; eye contact was meant to be broken...to make you seem as though you weren't aware of what was going on. "Alright. Let's go for it, Professor. I'm ready!"

Damien nodded, noting the differences in training. Slamming them out was good...but very limited in effectfulness. If she was going to deal with someone as powerful as Trevor she needed to conserve energy. He gave a small smile to her before nodding. He started with no warning, testing the waters as it was. "So, Sydney, what did you think of the food? You don't have to lie..." he chuckled as Keira made a face at him. As he spoke he messed with the memory little by little. The temperature dropping a bit, colors changing slightly.

Keira watched as Aeryn left with a sigh and shook her head. Man she loved the girl but she wanted to strangle her sometimes. She looked over to Sydney then, watching the girl's reactions carefully.

-----

From outside the cell an alarm went off and people were screaming. There was a loud thud against the steel door as a young man was taken down and sedated. Trevor calmly looked over at the noise and wanted to twitch in aggravation but nothing showed on his face. Instead he calmly looked back to Claire. "Don't mind that. That young man is quite the hothead. Always has been. Oh, how silly of me I never told you my name. I'm Patrick." he gave her a small smile, "Now you must have tons of questions." he gestured with his hand as if to give the floor to her.

((I don't have anything to post but I miss this :( ))

Aeryn sighed as she stared at the building in front of her, chin in hands. She was bored out of her mind. She knew she was the one who came up with it and this was necessary, but she was going insane just sitting here. So... she figured she'd go for a quick walk. Standing up, she brushed her shorts off and headed for the stairs. Pausing, she turned to stare at her apartement door. Shaking her head she turned around again and left.

((Lmao good. Hes already frazzled....))

He tugged his hoodie closer to his frail frame, hood up and hiding the noticable scar that ran from his ear to his chin. All he heard was the heavy thud of his shoes on the pavement. Well...they weren't really his but he wasnt returning them anytime soon. He glanced over his shoulder for the umpteenth time, not looking where he was going. By now they'd realize he was gone. He needed to get off the street and out of LA soon....

Aeryn didn't even stand a chance as she turned the corner of the street. As soon as she did... BAM! Aeryn fell on her ass with a grunt, wincing at the jarring feeling in her tailbone that reverbrated up her spine. Blinking to clear her vision, she frowned at the hood kid across from her. Her first instinct was to snap at him, the air chilling from her agitation. But... she somehow contained the feeling and words. Instead she just stared the guy down from her position on the ground.

He blinked as he suddenly collided with someone, hearing the thud to the ground. He winced and slowly turned his head so he looked down at her. He didn't recognize her, that much he knew. He held out a shaky hand down to her without thinking, neglacting to remember the spots on his skin. "I'm sorry about that, ma'm..." he told her, his voice quiet and a bit shaky. He barely registered that his hood had fallen, revealing his black, crew cut hair, the scar, and, above all, his eyes. They were bright green and slit like those of a cat. Agility and reflexes was his game, lab rat had been his name for the past three year and it had taken its tole.

Aeryn didn't take his hand, like most people would. Instead, she struggled to stand up herself. The air once again turned chilly as she frowned at him. "S'alright." she muttered, noting how jumpy he was, and absorbed his physical description in case she would need it later. "Nothing's broken, so no fowl." she said as she brushed off her shorts. She thought about just leaving then, but something seemed off about him. "You okay?" she asked, and the air seemed to warm up a little bit more.
