Damien just chuckled, shaking his head a bit. At her question he thought about it for a moment. "As long as its not ridiculously shorter like the time Keira came home with a bright blue pixie." He told her, chuckling at the memory. Honestly he wished she wouldn't cut it but he wasn't about to be the controlling boyfriend over it.

Kendra laughed, "Right...you're cooking innept. Normally the answer to that question is yes but remember Mother Nature Lizbeth is in charge of food shopping so we have the organic stovetop kernels." She admitted with a small shrug. She wasn't one to complain overly much about it though. They'd learned some of the kids had allergies or got sick because of certain additives in the over processed food. It was just easier to get rid of it entirely.

Kevin nodded, "Yeah I saw the chick earlier....scary little thing. Not denying she was hot but she looked like the kinda girl who'd sock ya for fun." He mused with a chuckle, shaking his head. Obviously he had no idea this girl and Ben's little gypsy were one in the same. "So you seem to be holding up pretty well for someone we all thought was dead or kidnapped anyway. You made news bro...." he shook his head, thinking he was changing the subject he smirked a little. "So how did the date go? You know, the gypsy...."

"No, no I don't think I could pull off a blue pixie." Aeryn teased as she leaned up and pressed her lips against his cheek gently. "I just want to get the split ends trimmed off really, and maybe add some more layers to it. Nothing overly drastic. It'd only look a couple of inches shorter."

"It's not my fault! I'm willing to learn, but I never got the chance. Ben is the inept one at cooking." Ren pointed out with a pout. "Call me cooking inept, I feel insulted!" He sniffed playfully as he tried not to grin.

"Yea, I uhh... saw something on that. Didn't sit too well but I got it straightened out. Even talked to my folks." Ben shrugged. When Kevin asked about Keira, he snorted before laughing. "Oh hell. That had to have been one of the most memorable first dates ever. We're still together actually." He said as his mind once more went to Keira and how she was faring. Great. This sucked.

Damien smiled, pressing a kiss into her hair. "Sounds perfect to me." He told her honestly, looking up to find Tyler already at the truck. "You ready?" He asked, nodding in return to the tall black man as they got in.

Lizbeth was busy making a batch of popcorn as Elliot picked out a new movie. "Up buddy Aeryn and the gang are on their way back. We might have to pick a movie for the road hun." She called into the den, popping her head in with a small smile.

Kendra chuckled, shaking her head with a smile. "Well one of us needs to be here I'll make it for now..." she mused, kissing him lightly which triggered a round of giggles from the girls around the room. She leaned up and whispered something about teaching him about making dessert later..which involved chocolate...in their room.... She pulled back with a wink before heading out towards the kitchen.

"Hell of a first date how?" Kevin blinked as he leaned back against the counter, "Really? And how does that work with you here? Or were you just so charming she was willing to pack her life up and join your scrawny ass?" He half joked, glancing up as Kendra walked in to make the popcorn. He couldn't shake the feeling he knew her....or at least had seen her before.

Aeryn smiled briefly at Damien before looking over at Tyler joined them. She got comfortable in the truck, settling down as she stared out the window. Eleria better be damned grateful for this. If something went wrong...

Ren just grinned at her as she kissed him before pausing at her words. His head whipped around to watch her leave the room before shaking his head. Evil, evil woman. Turning back around, he focused on watching the kids instead. "What are you guys laughing at?" He asked the girls with a grin.

"Her psychotic showed up. Serious mental case." Ben explained as he scratched the back of his head as he remembered that night. It had started off so great but it hadn't stayed that way for long. That had officially been the beginning of his life flipping upside down. He knew that if he thought about it too much he would overload and he couldn't afford that right now so he banished it to the back of his mind. "Nah, she was the one who actually invited me back here. I'm the one who joined her." He corrected his friend, smiling and waving over at Kendra.

Soon enough the group arrived at the safe house, Tyler speaking up as they exited the car. "I think you should lead us in, Aeryn....I highly doubt the first person the kid should see is some giant of a man he doesn't know." He told her simply, Damien nodding in agreement. Last thing they needed was to startle Elliot.

Sparrow giggled, "You and my sister....I've never seen her so cuddly before." She admitted with a small shrug, moving to sit with him on the couch as Violet and Justin focused back on watching the movie.

Kevin let out a low whistle, "Damn man....she has to be one hell of a girl to get you to leave everything you know and love behind." He mused, rubbing the back of his head a bit. He understood why he was here; his brother was all he had left as so far as family. He knew eventually shit would hit the fan. "So which one is she here?" He asked curiously, tilting his head to the side.

Kendra smiled over her shoulder at Ben, feeling bad for the kid ot be honest. She'd heard about Sean and she knew she'd never be able to handle it. This twit was now grilling the poor kid on the one subject that he wanted to ignore for the moment. She just didn't know how to help him.....

Aeryn sighed before nodding. She didn't think it would bother Eliot, but betterafe then sorry she guessed. Getting out of the truck, she didn't even get a chance to make it to the door before Eliot exploded out. "Finally!!" He exclaimed with a grin, rolling on his feet. "I felt like we waited forever! I really like Lizbeth and all but I want to go! I really want to see where well be living." He told her as his green eyes flickered over to Damien and Tyler. He waved to them both before running inside, Aeryn not able to get a word in.

"I hate kids sometimes." She muttered to herself as she headed in after the boy who had probably gone to retrieve his sister.

"You haven't huh? Then I'm just going to have to take that as a good sign." Ren smiled at her. "So what's up short stack?" He asked her as she joined him on the couch. He really liked Sparrow, and he hoped that she was adjusting well.

Ben kept from blanching, and just nodded instead. It's not like he had anything left for him in Cali anyways. Here he had his life and Keira, and some good friends. When Kevin asked which one, he paused. "Her name is Keira. She's really short and has blonde hair." He explained.

Damien couldn't help but chuckle at Elliot's excitement, following Aeryn into the house. "Hey kiddo....You ready to get going?" He asked, a small smile on his face as Tyler went to talk with Lizbeth real quick. "What have you guys been up to all day? Smells like a movie theater in here..."

Sparrow shrugged, playing with the sleeves of her shirt idly, "I don't know...its just....a lot more is happening than Kendra and you are telling us. Isn't there?" She asked him, looking over with curious and worried eyes but she kept her voice low.

Kevin blanched this time, "Woah, back up like ten steps. Keira. As in Keira O'Connor. As in Tyler, the guy who runs this place with the phycho hispanic chic, his cousin?" He asked, obviously in disbelief. He'd heard of Keira. Everyone had...."Dude you sure you want to dive into that basket of crazy?!" He asked, taking his hat off and running a hand through his dark hair.

"Oh I am! I'm so excited!! I mean, this place sounds like soooo much fun! Way better than Eleria's and mine's old apartment. I hated that thing." He wrinkled his nose at the memory. They found Eleria in the living room sitting in the recliner as she waited patiently, the look on her face... well it looked a lot like one Aeryn would wear. It was rather creepy. "That's cuz it was! Well sort of. Lizbeth made us popcorn and we were going to watch a movie, but then you guys showed up. She said we can take it with us though." He smiled over at Damien.

Ren paused as he debated it for a little while. Finally he nodded his head. "There is, but you don't need to worry about it, Sparrow." He assured her with a smile. "It's just a busy day today and everything will be taken care of." He promised.

"Uhh... yea. That would be the same Keira." Ben replied, not looking too happy at Kevin's explination. "And Hillary isn't psycho you just pissed her off on the wrong day." He defended the woman. He hadn't had any problems with her. Maybe because he knew how to keep his nose out of trouble mostly. "And I don't have any problems with this. It's not really crazy on my end, it's pretty simple to me." He shrugged.

Damien smiled with a nod, "I'm sure the other kids will love that." He assured the young boy, looking up as Tyler and Lizbeth came out. His cousin holding a large tupperware of popcorn ready to go. Tyler squatted down from his massive height so he was level with Elliot as he spoke.

"Hey, you're Elliot, yes? My name is Tyler. I'm in charge of the house you'll be living in..." He mused with a soft smile, white teeth a stark contrast to his dark skin. He'd decided to talk to the young boy first, then work with the sour looking older sister. "I heard you've got some special power?"

Sparrow gave him a skeptical look, "My powers are back, Ren..." She told him honestly, knowing he wasn't telling her the entire truth. They'd come back in a surge when the others had left, like a punch to the gut. She felt better, though, having had a small fear that maybe her powers were gone forever.

Kevin shook his head, "I'm not talking about here. Here is the safest place you could be with all of the crazy shit going on right now. I'm talking about her. Keira as a person. Dude, from what I've he-"

"You shouldn't believe the shit that is said in the barraks." Kendra spoke up flatly, Keving blinking as he looked over.

"Hey, I'm just looking out...."

"That's really cool. I can't wait to meet them." Eliot admitted before he looked over at Tyler. He snickered a little as the rather large man bent down. "You're like... really huge you know that right? It's really cool. I always told my sister I wanted to be really big." Eliot grinned at Tyler, the man's size not seeming to bother him. "It's really nice to meet you Mr. Tyler. And I do! I mean, I don't really like it, but it can be really useful sometimes. I can make you believe anything with my pictures."

"They're powerful illusions." Aeryn supplied to Tyler so he wouldn't get confused.

"Pictures, illusions. Aren't they the same thing?" Eliot asked as Aeryn let a very brief smile flicker across her face before shaking her head.

"Not even close, ET."

"I'm glad to hear that they're back." He told her honestly. "Come on, you shouldn't focus on such serious thoughts, Sparrow. You should try and be happier. It helps everybody out that way instead of worrying." He told her. She was a smart girl and he knew that if given enough pieces, she'd put the puzzle together. He didn't want her to worry though, so he tried and find a way where she could help.

Ben frowned as Kevin went on about Keira, not really appreciating what he was insinuating at. "Kendra's right. The barracks are full of a bunch of idiots. Keira's really cool, Kev. She's one of the few who are actively trying to help me adjust and care about my well being."
