Kendra smiled as Ren opened the door for them, helping her sister out who let out a shy giggle. Kendra stole a quick kiss, looking to her sister woth a chuckle as she giggled more. "Come on...I don't know about you two goofballs but I'd like to eat..." she mused with a nod, locking the car and leading them inside, Sparrow glued to her side. The diner was a typical rustic smokehouse, the aroma of the meats filling the air of the resturaunt's main area. There was a bar to the right, a back room for parties, a main room for eating and a stage set up in for a live performance of some sort.

Kendra smiled at the hostest as she led the group over to a table, but it turned into a small frown as the girl shamelessly looked over Ren and flirted. "We'll take our menus now, thanks darlin'." She said, the girl lingering at the table too long for her liking. Ren wasnt the only one to get easily jealous. She wasn't a total bitch but it was enough of a cue that the girl turned red and quickly fled.

Sparrow giggled at the interaction as she read over the menu with hungry eyes. She looked up to catch one of the waiters setting up a sign for a karaoke contest. "Oh Kendra! You should do it!" She told her sister, pointing to the sign with a small grin.

Her older sister hesitated, before shaking her head with a chuckle. "I don't think that's a very good idea....besides we're here to relax not for.me to showboat..." she told her, letting out a mixed chuckle and sigh as her sister pouted adorably. Honestly she was itching to get up there but she didn't want Ren to think she was a show off....

Jeremy saw the tears breaking and on instinct pulled her in for a gentle but reassuring hug. "It's not your fault, Cay, and it never will be. Whatever happened to you was horrible and I wish I could tell you that they go away but....in the end it can only make you a stronger person for it......listen to me, shortie, I've seen firsthand the incredible progress you've made. No, you don't feel 100% normal yet but I promise we'll all be doing our best to support and help you. I promise you you're safe and I would do anything to keep you smiling..." he assured her, rubbing her arm gently. He really meant everything he said. All he wanted to do was make her happy again. Make her feel safe.

Ren smiled over at Kendra as she stole a kiss before following the girls to the front doors, opening those for them as well. He followed them to the table, and didn't even seem to really notice the girl flirting with him. Well... he noticed her as in he knew what she looked like in case he needed to recall later in case something went wrong but he didn't notice the flirting. It was a wonder that he had figured out Kendra's clues no matter how obvious she was as she hit him over the head with it. He sat down at the booth with them, making sure he was facing the door. He hated having his back facing the door, it always made him uncomfortable. When Sparrow spoke up, he blinked as he looked over at the sign before smiling and looking towards Kendra. "Awww why not? I'm with your sister here, little red. You should do it." He smiled at her. He loved what he had heard of her voice and he wanted to hear more.

Caelynne blinked and froze as Jeremy pulled her into a hug, her unusually bright eyes wide with fear before relaxing finally. She let out a shaky laugh at his words as she shook her head. "I'm never going to be normal again. They took that away from me. I'm broken now." She told him in a watery voice as she looked down at her tank top as she picked at it. They took so much away from her... "I'm not strong like you say. I'm just this broken girl who doesn't know what to do next. I don't know what I'm doing, or what I'm supposed to. I don't know what to do from here." She said as she wiped at her eyes before just hugging him and crying into his chest.

Kendra smiled slightly but gave a small sigh, "I haven't done this in years...." she told them, rubbing the back of her head as Sparrow shook her head.

"Before....everything happened we couldn't keep her off a stage..." she informed Ren, having made her decision about what to eat and set down her menu. "You told me yourself, Kendra, its like riding a bike. You cant just forget how to perform."

Kendra nodded, still not quite sure. She really did want to but this was a very different crowd than New York. She wasn't even sure they'd know the songs in her book. Okay, so maybe that was exaggerating a little but still....she wasn't a country super star.

Jeremy was going to let her go for fear he'd pushed it too far until she relaxed. He rubbed her back gently, nodding as he listened to her. "Maybe you'll never be the normal you were before everything happened but you can be a new normal. You can do and be whatever it is you want and you know you'll have the support of everyone here. Caelynne you're not broken. You have the ability to move past it. You'll never forget it but you've made it so far from where you were. I wish you see what I do...." he insisted gently, doing everything in his powers to try and make her feel better.

Ren smiled over at Sparrow as she spoke up before looking back to Kendra. "Is that so?" He asked her as he nudged her gently. "Come on, please? I want to see you preform." He smiled at her, offering her a large pair of puppy eyes as he tried not to laugh.

Caelynne didn't bother removing her face from where it was buried into his chest as she cried silently, but she did hear what he had to say. She merely shook her head as she hugged him tightly. "How can I move past it if it will always be there? I don't want to remember. I want to forget. I never want to remember again. I don't want to have nightmares anymore, or flash backs. I don't want to be stuck reliving that week." She told him as she continued to have the tears stream down her face.

Kendra bit her lip, going to comment when their waitress came over for their orders. Thank god... She smiled as Sparrow ordered a pulled turkey sandwich and fries, glad to see her sister still had an appetite. She herself ordered the pulled pork platter with fried mac and cheese and a cold beer. Hell she needed something after what just happened. Once everyone had ordered, Sparrow nudged her under the table.

"Come on....I know for a fact you can do better than that!" She mused softly as one of the singers sang a very off-key rendition of "What hurts the most".

Kendra nearly laughed but finally nodded, "Alright....I'll do it...." she grinned a bit at the first true smile on her sister's face. Between her and Ren she didn't feel like she had much of a choice anyway.

Jeremy wasn't about to give up on her. Hell he knew he never would. "I know it hurts like hell....I know you feel lost and hurt and I honestly wish I could make it all better and it all go away. If you let him Tanya can help with the nightmares, I know she helped Sammy with hers. But you have to remember though its a horrible and horrific past its what makes you you. You may not feel better after but getting rid of those memories and getting rid of your past aren't the way to go..." he assured her, holding her close and continuing to run his hand up and down her back soothingly. He wished there was some way he could make her feel better. He hated seeing her like this.

Ren looked over as the waitress came up, waiting for the girls to order before he ordered the rib platter for himself with mashed potatoes and cinnamon apples. Once the waitress had left, he looked back to Kendra, ready to beg her to sing. When she finally agreed, he grinned. "Awesome. I can't wait." He told her as he leaned back in his seat as he studied the people in the room, keeping his eye on the door.

"Then I don't want to be me! You don't know... what they did. What they took away. If having that happen is what makes me me then I don't want to be me." Caelynne told him as she pulled back a little to rub at her eyes. "I'm tired of always being scared, and of the nightmares. I'm tired of it all." She told him in her quiet voice. This whole time, her voice had barely risen above a whisper. It's like her voice no longer knew how to get louder. "I just want to be normal again. And not jump everytime someone talks or panick when I see a new person. I want to be able to sleep all the way through the night without nightmares. I want to people to treat me normally instead of having to tip toe around me because I might relapse. I just want to be normal." She repeated herself as she looked down at her feet, head resting on his chest again.

Kendra chuckled, smiling with a faint blush as she sipped at her beer. "Yeah I bet you are..." she teased him with a nudge, looking to the stage as the men in the bar whooped. She rolled her eyes at the girls' slutty actions to go along with the song. "Ugh. Girls like her are why female performers a bad name..." she shook her head and took another sip of her beer.

Sparrow gave a small smile, "What are you gonna sing?"

Kendra thought about it before giving a shrug, pausing to sign her name on the form the Mcee was bringing around to the tables. "I don't know yet....Im not exactly a country girl...."

Jeremy rubbed her back, just letting her get it all out. His heart broke hearing her so quiet, hearing Sammy drag Violet away from the barn faintly since she felt the emotions rolling off of Cay. "If you want...I can talk to Damien. Not your brother, but the new doctor on staff. Ask him how he helped Keira get over her trauma...." He offered gently, taking a breath before continuing. "I don't know what happened to you and if you never want to tell me I understand that but....Keira, the short little blonde, if you look closely at her arms she has numerous, faint scars from her abuser. Lizbeth's brother actually. It went on for months and it wasn't just physical torment. He'd do it then wipe her head of what really happened and replace it with something else. The worst one we found her up in the loft rocking back and forth, muttering about spiders, covered in blood...It took time but Damien really worked with her on her nightmares and flashbacks. Its up to you....but I think he could be able to help you too." He suggested gently, brushing her hair behind her ear gently.

Ren didn't even bother to look over at the stage as he smiled at Kendra. "I'm positive they have more than country to sing. There has to be something in there you're familiar with." He told her as he took a sip of his water. He didn't drink soda, and didn't touch alcohol often. You mostly saw him with water, sometimes tea or orange juice. He was really excited to hear Kendra sing, he wasn't going to lie.

Cay froze as she looked up at Jeremy before shaking her head fearfully. "No. No doctors. No no no no no." She said as she shook her head more. "I don't want to see him. Please don't make me go see him." She looked on the verge of breaking down after the mention of the word doctor. Apparently, they were somehow tied in and she couldn't stand to be around them. She could feel the flashbacks starting to crop up again after the mention of taking her to see a doctor as she wrapped her arms tightly around herself and clenched her eyes shut, willing them to go away.

Kendra nodded with a small shrug, smiling to the waiter as he brought out their dishes. She didnt touch her mac and cheese yet though even though she was starving. Dairy messed with the vocal cords. She smiled as Sparrow dug into her food. "Careful killer..." she teased lightly, "You're gonna make yourself sick....." She added as she ate her pork. Perfect, as usual.

Sparrow slowed down a little with a shy smile, "I guess you're right..." she said, not wanting to tell her sister it was the first time she'd eaten in nearly a week. She'd used whatever money she had for transportation to Houston on the wild shot of maybe finding Mira as a way of finding Kendra. And water and poweraide when she had the money. Daddy always said drinks were more important because one could live longer without food than without food.

Kendra nodded with a small smile, keeping a discreet but careful eye on her sister. She looked to Ren then with a small smirk. "So...what do you think?"

Jeremy blinked, having NOT expected that reaction. He'd talk to Damien anyway and see if he could do anything on his own to help her. He hadn't been around directly when Key was recovering from everything but he'd heard all about it through his best friend, Daniel. "Alright...I promise you won't see him. I promise. Shh....its okay. I'm right here, Cay, and I'm not leaving or making you see anyone you don't want to. I'm so sorry I brought it up....shhhh you don't have to do anything you don't want to. I promise...." he assured her, rubbing her back as he held her close, mentally cursing himself. Way to go....

Ren smiled as the food was brought out. Despite his breakfast earlier, he was starving right now. Not like Sparrow was, however. He had no idea when it was the last time that the girl ate. "Trust me, eat slow with small bites. Your stomach has to get used to eating large, rich meals again. Even with how incredible it smells, you have to take it easy. I took survival training and that was one of the things they taught me." He explained with a kind smile. He didn't want to mention. That he actually went through the training and was left on his own in the desert for a week every two months with only a knife, rope, and empty canteen. Sometimes, just the knife. When Kendra spoke up, he looked over with a smile as he nodded. "It's amazing. I've only had barbeque a couple of times but this tops it." He told her as he managed to eat his ribs without making a mess.

Caelynne whimpered as she kept her eyes clamped shut, forcing herself to keep a lid on the flashbacks and memories threatening to barge through. "No doctors, no doctors." Was all she was able to say as she shook a little in his arms. Despite what he thought, his soothing arms around her helped. It helped keep her grounded and being lost to her memories. There was just something about Jeremy that was soothing and calming to her. It was like he was some kind of safety net, or solid wall that kept her protected. She didn't know.
