Sparrow gave a small giggle at Ren's words as Kendra stood, taking Ren's hand in hers and pulling him with her. "Come on...let's go grab some lunch...." she said with a small smile as she led the group to the jeep. She hopped in the drivers side as Sparrow hopped up into the back. Kendra took a deep breath a they pulled out, keeping her eyes on the road but every now and again glancing back to Sparrow. Her younger sister looked relaxed yet half scared in the back of the truck since the top was off. "Don't worry honeybee you'll be fine....." she assured her as Sparrow nodeed, bag clutched in her lap. Her excitement made him grin, shaking his head with a chuckle. "Whenever you want to, shortie....just give me the word." He told her, flashing her a grin. "Maybe one day I'll take you for a ride by the creek if you like..." he added, but it was more like a promise. It was one thing to ride around in circles but it was another to really go for a ride. He'd offer to take her at night, under the stars, but the last time they were alone in the dark together it didn't fare well so he didn't. |

Ren smiled as he allowed Kendra to lead them back to the jeep. He hopped into the passenger side as he flashed a soothing smile back at Sparrow before smiling over at Kendra too. He knew it was difficult for her to keep calm for her sister after everything she heard. He ended up studying Sparrow's aura in the rear view mirror, finding it to be exactly like her sisters, except different colours. While Kendra had the bold, warm colours of a sunset, Sparrow had one the colour of the sea. Dark blue, teal, and seafoam green. Putting them next to each other was fascinating. "So Sparrow, do you mind telling me some stories about your sister? Anything interesting I should know?" He asked, trying to lighten the mood. The creek?" Caelynne asked, perking up slightly as she smiled back at him before looking down at her feet as she ran a brush through Misty's coat. "It sounds like lots of fun." She admitted. "Do you like it out here?" She asked him. It was the first time she had ever really questioned him to try and get to know him. She was making remarkable improvement lately. She was fully believing that with the help of her friends, she could get better and become normal. She just couldn't do crowds of people still. |

Sparrow looked over with some surprise as he adressed her, giving him a shy smile. "I don't know....what kind of story do you want?" She asked, running a hand through her now very short hair. It felt weird but at least it was better than the crap her hair looked like before. Kendra gave Ren's leg a gentle squeeze in thanks, not one to be embarrassed by stories she didn't mind. Plus her head was already ready to burst at the seams.... Jeremy shot her an adorable dimpled grin, "Awesome!" He paused at her question before shrugging. "Its the only life Ive known save working at my grandfather's forge. I love it out here. Could never live in a city....way too damn crowded. What about you? We drive you nuts yet?' He teased her lightly with a small grin. |

"Any kind that crosses your mind. Have a favourite?" Ren asked as he smiled back at her. He patted Kendra's hand as she squeezed his leg as he kept his eyes on Sparrow. He wanted her to feel comfortable. This was Kendra's sister and as long as he was around, he'd never let anything happen to her. ((... You are quite terrifying and I had no idea. I don't think I ever really want to honest to goodness piss you off.)) Caelynne smiled as she ducked her head. "I grew up in a big city. I used to live in Indiana." She told him quietly, this being the first time she had ever willingly talked about anything from her past. There was just something different about Jeremy that caused her to open up. "And you haven't yet." She blushed, but was still smiling. "Did you like working at the forge? What was it like?" The questions seemed to keep coming. This had to be the most she'd ever spoken, or conversation she had initiated. |

Sparrow thought about it for a moment, "Well...there was the time she tried practicing a backhand-spring in our tiny apartment. Knocked over the lamp and sent our cat flying into our dad who was carrying our dinner....." she giggled softly, "It was a very big mess and we ended up with spaghetti in our hair..." she told him, starting to relax a little. It had been about 2 years since she'd seen her sister, and she'd tried to hold onto the memories but quite a few had slipped through the cracks with everything that had happened. "Well listen to you miss big city...." he teased her, flashing her a grin before thinking over her questions. He didn't mind them, honestly....he was willing to share anything if it kept her opening up. "It was hell at first...not gonna lie but it was worth it. I practically grew up there so after a while I just got used to the work and the heat. Nothing like pounding on metal to relieve stress and anger." He told her simply, moving to the other side of Diablo so he could see her better. "What about you? You miss the big city?" |

Ren laughed at the scene Sparrow described as he looked over at Kendra. "Definitely not one of your shining moments huh?" He asked her as he looked back to Sparrow with a smile. "Sounds crazy. Was she always doing things like that? What about you? Did you take up after your sister?" He asked her. Cay blushed as he teased her as she finished running the brush through Misty's coat before taking a comb to her tangled mane. She nodded as he explained the forge before tucking a strand of loose hair from the ride behind her ear. When he asked about the city, she thought about it. "Sometimes." She answered quietly. "But not really. The crowds would make me really nervous now. And I've become accustomed to it being so quiet now. I wouldn't know what to do with the noise." She explained further. "I'd always be scared that one of the people I would see in passing would not be what they seemed and I'd be gone before anyone would notice. If they even cared." She had a far off look in her eye, having stopped combing Silvermist's mane by now as she looked to be stuck reliving an old memory. |

Kendra laughed a bit, "Yeah....I was constantly knocking things over...." she admitted with a shrug as Sparrow giggled lightly. "Yeah..it dorve daddy nuts, especially when sge had a competition coming up. I wasnt like her...well we both danced but I did ballet. I didnt like it much though. I much preferred reading and writing...." she told him with a small smile. If Ren looked close he could see that Sparrow was the girl Kendra had drawn the day before. The early stages of puberty had changed her face and she'd probably have a slight curve to her if she'd been properly nourished. When she smiled, though, one could see a child-like innocence still in her. Jeremy nodded as he listened to her, thinking it made sense. He paused, though, as she trailed off and looked over to see the look in her eyes. He set his brush to the side and walked over to her. "Hey....Caelynne you listen to me. You have nothing to worry about here. Nothing and no one is going to take you or harm you. We would never let it happen...I would never let it happen." He promised her gently, wanting to pull her into a hug but after her first reaction he didn't want to push it. "You're safe here Cay. With us. With me. Nothing is going to get you....' |

"Why doesn't this surprise me?" Ren asked as he smiled over at Kendra before looking back to Sparrow. "Reading and writing huh? What do you like to write?" He asked her curiously. Upon closer look, he figured out that this was the girl Kendra had drawn the other day. Of course Sparrow had aged since the last time she had saw her sister, but they were obviously the same girl. Caelynne blinked, jumping slightly as Jeremy spoke up and pulled her out of the memory. "Yeah? Okay." She nodded at him as she tried to rid herself of the memory. "I'm sorry." She apologized as she looked away. She was doing well, and she wanted to keep it that way. She knew that if she said anyting, she could possibly relapse. |

"Stories....they're not very good though. Not like Kendra's songs...." Sparrow told him with a small smile and an Kendra's cheeks actually tinged pink. "Youre stories are awesome, little bird... " she insisted as her little sister just shook her head. Soon enough they were pulling up in front of the bbq restaurant. One could smell the delicious spices going along with the roasted meats. "Here we go..." she looked back to her sister as she turned the truck off. Sparrow looked excited, hungry and nervous at the same time. She reached back and patted her leg. "Hey lets get some food in you. It'll be fine, Sparrow. Okay?" She watched as her little sister nodded with a smile to us. Jeremy nodded, gently resting his hand on her shoulder as she seemed a bit more with it. "Don't be sorry...." he told her gently, "I brought it up. Its okay, shortie, there's nothing you did wrong." He insisted with a gentle smile. |

Ren smiled as he looked over at Kendra curiously. Written songs? He wanted to hear. Maybe later. "I'm sure they're amazing, Sparrow." He told the girl with a comforting smile. When they arrived at the restaurant, he smiled. Getting out, he walked over and opened Kendra and Sparrow's doors for them. "Come on. I can't wait to talk in with the two prettiest girls here." He told them as he winked playfully, hoping to keep spirits high. Caelynne looked up at Jeremy briefly as he placed his hand on her shoulder before looking back down again. "No it's my fault. I just... it's not getting any better. It is, but it won't go away. It won't ever go away. And I'll never be normal again." She lamented, feeling helpless and frustrated. She had tears forming in her eyes as she scuffed her tennish shoe against the floor. |
