Kendra laughed, "Dont worry you're cute little head...I'll protect you from the big bad city dwellers." She teased, looking over with a wink as they came down to the main road. "Houston isn't so bad...its kinda fun and amusing!"

Jeremy shrugged, "We can go riding whenever you want! Just give me the word, shortie...." he grinned, nudging her with his foot. He was really happy to see that she enjoyed riding with him. He wanted more than anything for her to feel comfortable around him.

Ren laughed as she teased him, looking out of the window as they drove. His eyes eventually were drawn back to her, however, since she was a much more exciting and alluring image to him. "Fun and amusing?" He asked as he raised his eyebrow. "How so? Please enlighten me. I have found that I'm not really a fan of big cities. They're all smelly and stuffed full of too many people."

Caelynne giggled as he nudged her as she nodded her head. "Someday soon?" She asked him. She loved her ride with Jeremy yesterday. She had had so much fun. She wanted to definitely do it again soon.

Kendra laughed, "That's part of the fun. Just trust me, Askuwheteau...Today you're gonna learn how to go with the flow..." She flashed him a grin and wink before focusing back on the road. Her hands were tapping along with the beat of the song on the radio, humming along for the moment. "To the world...! You may be just another girl...But to meee...Baby, you are the world." She sang along softly with a small laugh. Unlike the others, her voice was smooth, rich and obviously had been trained over the years. One of those voices that could easily belt the biggest notes with little effort if she really wanted. "I still don't get country music.." She added with a shrug, flipping the stations trying to find one she liked. She paused as she heard a familiar lick, "wow....she really did sell it off..." She frowned a bit as Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" came through the speakers. She never thought Carol would sell it off....

Jeremy nodded, holding his pinky out with a boyish grin, "Pinky promise....and as we all know these can't be broken..." He mused, obviously trying not to laugh. "And I also promise we'll use Silvermist instead of Diablo." He added, his grin growing a little bit.

Ren groaned as he hit his head against the dashboard of the jeep. "I don't want to go with the flow! Too many things can go wrong!" He whined like a baby. When he heard her sing, he froze as he turned his head ot look over at her. "Your voice is amazing." He told her as he wished she would go back just so he could hear her sing. When she spoke up again, he tilted his head. "Sell what off?" He asked curiously.

Caelynne giggled as he held out his pinky before taking his with hers. "Pinky promised." She nodded in agreement before pulling bak, cheeks dusted with pink. "Yay MIsty! Misty is my favourite." She told him shyly with a tiny smile as she turned side to side. "Can we go really fast? That was fun."

Kendra smiled at the compliment, “Thanks…but what I’m talking about this song.” She added, turning it up a little as the chorus was belted. “Carol wrote this song….only one she ever fronted in a club or recorded with her as the lead singer. She mixed tracks for upcoming artists all the time, including me.” She blushed lightly, “She had like three or four record companies fighting over her before everything went to hell. Ugh, I don’t like it as much with a country edge…well then again I have Carol’s voice ingrained in my head for these lyrics. She said she’d never sell the rights. Too personal a song…” She paused, stopping at a red light she searched through the pile of CDs in the consol. Finally she smiled as she pulled out what looked like an old mix CD and popped it in as the light turned green. She flipped over a few other covers, “There...here it is.” She mused, sitting back as she let the track play.

There was a crackle then Carol’s voice could be heard, “I hate you guys…”

Kendra’s laughter was heard in the background, “Come on!! You promised…”

Carol grumbled before softly counting off, suddenly the beginning could be heard, but it had a slightly more Evanescence feel to it than the other version. Carol could be heard then, a good half register below the country superstar’s but it was actually a rather spectacular voice and there was obvious emotion behind each word. “Dry lightning cracks across the skies...those storm clouds gather in her eyes …Daddy was mean ole mister. Mama was an angel in the ground. The weather man called for a twister, She prayed blow it down…There's not enough rain in Oklahoma, to wash the sins out of that house…There's not enough wind in Oklahoma, to rip the nails out of the past…

“Shatter every window till it's all blown away! Every brick, every board, every slamming door flown away! Till there's nothing left standing, Nothing left of yesterday…Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away! Blown away…

“She heard those sirens screaming out…Her daddy laid there passed out on the couch. She locked herself in the cellar, listened to the screaming of the wind. Some people called it taking shelter….She called it sweet revenge…” One could almost hear the smirk in her voice before she continued, with two other voices in the background complimenting her.

“Shatter every window till it's all blown away! Every brick, every board, every slamming door flown away! Till there's nothing left standing, Nothing left to yesterday…Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away! Blown away…[ Lyrics from

“There's not enough rain in Oklahoma, to wash the sins out of that house. There's not enough wind in Oklahoma, to rip the nails out of the past…Shatter every window till it's all blown away! (Blown away) Every brick, every board, every slamming door flown away. (Flown away) Till there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday… Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away!....”

Jeremy laughed, “As you wish…” He winked with a grin, laughing again as Sammy ran back into the kitchen with the two dogs on her heels. “Are we ready to go now?” He asked as she nodded, bouncing a little before grabbing Cay’s hand.

“Come on…!!” She giggled in her soft voice, pulling the two of them towards the door.

Ren paused as he listened to her. He watched her curiously as she switched to a CD, and the same track they had listened to. He was surprised ot hear Carol belting out the words. He listened aptly, not saying anything until the song was finished. "Wow... she's really good too. Can all of you sing?!" He asked her as he looked to her.

Caelynne blushed at his wording, before giggling as Sammy dashed in with the dogs and took her hand. "Okay. What are we going to play first?" She asked the little girl as she looked back to Jeremy with a smile before looking back to Sammy.

Kendra chuckled as she put the radio back on, now on a random pop song. “Never let her know I let you listen to that. She’ll kill me. But yeah she’s always had a gift for it but she hated being in the spotlight. She’d much rather be behind the mix board. Not all of us…well, most have decent voices. Like, they’ll sing along in the car or in the shower but never out loud. Mira can play the piano like no one’s business…Liz can play the violin really well but she can’t sing really. I haven’t heard Keira or Damien play or sing in years so I don’t know. Really that’s all who I know of.” She shrugged before laughing as they started to enter the hustle and bustle of downtown Houston. “Then you have me….the dork who went to Berkley to become a Songwriting/Professional Music major with an Acoustic and Electronics Minor…with some dance & gymnastics on the side…I was one of those kids star struck by neon…” She added with a shrug and a faint blush.

Sammy thought about it for a moment but before she could answer Jeremy scooped her up and spun her around like an airplane, causing her to squeal with another belly laugh as they headed out the door. “Jeremy!!! I was talkin’ to Cay!!!”

“Ohh but I’m soooo much cooler!!” He pouted as she giggled and shook her head as he opened the door, holding it for Caelynne. “So come on Sammy! What do you wanna play? Huh? Huh?” He tickled her sides as she squirmed and laughed again, suddenly much more open now that the group was on their own.

“I wanna play hide and seek in the barn!” She told them with a nod, causing Jeremy to chuckle.

"Aye-Aye, this never happened." Ren teased with a smile as he leaned back in his chair and relaxed as they drove. When she explained all who had musical talent, he shook his head with a chuckle. "You all seem like such a talented bunch." He told her with a grin. When she talked about herself, he smiled as he looked over at her. "I think it's cute. And you're obviously very good. You would have gotten very far I think." He told her. He thought she was incredibly talented and he wished she would sing more.

Caelynne giggled as Jeremy scooped Sam up and spun her around. She watched them with a smile, finding it to be adorable. Jeremy was always so nice and funny. He was really good with Sammy. She loved watching them interact and play. She giggled again at Sam's suggestion for what they should play. "Sounds fun." She admitted shyly with a blush. She hadn't played hide and seek in years.

"Talented is one way of looking at it..." she mused, laughing a little at his compliment. "Thanks hun but that all feels like a lifetime ago...." she shrugged, finally finding a decent parking spot. "We're here!!" She grinned as she turned the car off and looked over at Ren. "Oh don't give me that look. You're going to have a good time dammit...." she teased.

Sammy giggled as she nodded, keeping her arms wrapped around Jeremy's neck. As the group walked towards the barn. "Can Cay and I hide first?? Pleeease??" She asked him with an adorable grin.

"Fiiinne.....onlu because you know I'm the worlds best finder." Jeremy winked with a nod as she laughed.

"No...you couldn't find Mira the other day..." she teased him as he let out a playful sigh.

"I told you....I didnt realize she was in the office....that doesn't count..." he defended as Sam just giggled wnd shook her head.

Ren just smiled at her, wondering if he could get her to sing again for him sometime soon. He liked her singing voice. When she parked the car, and announced that they had arrived at their destination, he sighed as he made a face. "I'm sorry! But I just don't see how you can make shopping very fun!" He pointed out to her as he unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the passenger door. It's not that he didn't want to spend time with her, he just didn't find shopping to be fun or a great time.

Caelynne giggled as she shook her head. "No you're not! That's me and my brother." She told him. There was a reason people didn't play hide n seek with them after a while. They could find anybody or anything. Maybe it was best that she was hiding. She shyly turned side to side as she waited for them to start, arms wrapped around herself as she thought of a place to hide.
