((My dad and my bf have tried and tried to get me used to scopes....my eyes just don't agree haha. My bf didn't believe I was a better shot with iron sights....I fastly proved him wrong I don't have much practice with the laser sights though. Up north I see the scopes a lot, but here its a lot of hunters so the guns themselves vary.))Sam smiled as Cay walked over, giggling as the stallion nudged her. "Hey boy..." She mused, petting his nose with one hand as the other was used to hold her balance on the fence. She looked up as Jeremy emerged then, walking over to the girls with a chuckle. "What are two of my favorite girls doing...? I hope y'all aren't talking about me..." He told them with a playful pout, setting up Diablo as Sam giggled softly. "Noooo.....we weren't talking about you, jerbear..." She teased him, giggling again as Jeremy let out an exaggerated sigh of relief and handed Sam her helmet. The young girl nodded and put it on as he finished tightening the stirrups. |

((Lol! I love proving men wrong on things like that! See, I find that there's nothing wrong with using iron sights! It just means you can adjust faster in my books. Not every gun is going to have a scope, and it's easy to begin to rely on your scope. And laser sight is fun! My dad, a couple of months ago, bought an AR-15 semi automatic with red, and green laser sight, and holographic sight as well. That was sooo much fun! I decided that I am a big fan of laser sight. And we have a lot of hunters down here too, but then tend to stick to the shotguns and rifles. Most of what they hunt down here is deer and turkey I think. )) Caelynne looked over as she heard Jeremy speak up, giggling along with Sam as she smiled at him. "Why would we talk about you?" She asked playfully as she looked back to Sam as she put her helmet on. Riding did seem like a lot of fun, and the girls tended to have a ball doing it. But now with Keira, who she didn't know that well out here, she was even less sure than usual. She ran her hand over Diablo's smooth neck, more to comfort herself than the horse as she snuck a peak over at the sisters before looking away again. She knew she was being silly, but she couldn't help it. Keira just made her really nervous and she didn't know why. |

Daniel chuckled as he removed his earmuffs as well, "Just over 3 years since I last shot...well anything." He admitted, clenching and unclenching his left hand a little before loading the other magazine. "Hey at least I hit the guy....just wasnt anywhere near a close grouping." He added, seemingly amused by the outcome. "Because I am amazing!" He teased her with a playful gein before smacking the top of Sam's helmet. "Good, nice and tight Sammy?" He asked waiting for her nods before helping her hoist up onto the large stallion. "Maybe if Cay sees how fun it is we can get her to go too..." he mused, shooting Cay a wink before hoisting himself up behind the young girl. "You ready..?" Sam's face lit up a little as she nodded, holding on to th saddle horn and leaning back into Jeremy as he reached around her to get the reigns. |

Brynn grinned, removing the target and placing it to the side and replacing it wtih a new one. "He's dead and that's what counts!" She told him brightly. "And you're practicing now. You'll be able to be a deadly shooting machine again in no time! I mean, I would assume you were before, but I don't know. You could just be lying to me and you've totally never been good." She teased him as she flicked the switch and sent the targets out again. Caelynne giggled at Jeremy before she watched the two get ready to go riding on the horse. She blushed lightly at Jeremy's words as she looked down at her feet before looking up and watching them ride around. It did look like a lot of fun, but she was still nervous. And Sam was obviously having a ball. Of course, part of that might have been Jeremy. She noticed how much the little girl loved him. |

Daniel laughed a bit, "I'm a rifle, shotgun kind of guy....true southern boy to a T. Keira was always better with the handguns. I stuck with what I knew...Never really thought I'd need to be able to shoot my way out of situation..." He mused, replacing his earmuffs and taking the gun up again. If one looked carefully they could see the way his left hand shook slightly. He'd never be able to shook acurately with one hand...hence why he felt more comfortable with a rifle or shotgun. Handguns were something he'd need to get used to in these trying times but it was more than a little aggravating. He let out a slow breath and let off a few rounds, this time they were somewhat grouped on the left side; two to the shoulder, and two through the heart. It wasn't the grouping he'd wanted, but at lease he'd got two kill shots in. "Faster....!" Sam giggled, her black braids bouncing along as they rode. She was really actually smiling up there, it was her time with Jeremy. Like Cay and Damien they didn't get a lot of alone time but he'd promised her a game night and that he'd read to her before bed. That promise alone made the very shy girl light up. Jeremy was her superhero, the one who'd saved her. Nothing could ever break that image for her. "You sure?" Jeremy asked with a chuckle, shaking his head a little as she nodded her head several times. "Yeah...then its Cay's turn, right?" She asked him, leaning back so she could look up at him. He grinned a bit, "We'll see Sammy, okay? She's a little nervous because Kai's outside today. She might need some convincing..." He told her, "Now you holding on tight?" When she nodded he clicked his heels and let Diablo speed off, causing laughter to bubble up from Sam. A few minutes later they trotted back over to Cay, Sam still giggling and her face was a little red but you could tell she had a blast. Jeremy hopped down and then hoisted the little girl down with a chuckle as Sam turned her small smile to Cay as she took her helmet off. "It really is a lot of fun..." She told the other girl as she undid her helmet strap. her hair was a mess but she was too happy to care as she looked to the older girl expecting an answer. |

Brynn just grinned as she put her earmuffs on and watched him shoot. She watched his hands as he shot, noticing the shaking and wondering what caused it. Seeing the shaking, she knew it would be harder for him to shoot a handgun versus a rifle or shotgun. She waited until he was finished shooting before she flipped the switch and brought the target towards them. Taking off her earmuffs, she looked over at Daniel. "Look! It's better already! What do you think? Wanna stick with your rifles and shotguns, or maybe am I converting you into a handgun person?" She asked with a bright grin. Caelynne watched as Jeremy and Sam raced around on Diablo, smiling as she heard Sam laugh from here. Sam was just as shy as she was, so it was always a good thing to hear the little girl laugh. When they came back towards her, she smiled back at Sam, giggling quietly as she saw the mess that was the girls hair when she took her helmet off. "It looks fun." She admitted, but she was still a bit nervous. |

Daniel chuckled, "I'd feel better about it if I wasn't aiming for his head..." He mused, shaking his head as he sighed and set the gun down, letting his earmuffs rest around his neck. "I'll keep practicing with handguns but I fastly think My first choice will always be a shotgun or rifle." He added, an attractive sloppy grin on his lips as he clenched and unclenched his hands a few times. Sam nodded, "It really is...Jeremy is the best teacher too!" She told the other girl with a knowing nod as Jeremy laughed softly. "Well, Sammy it's up to Cay...if she wants to wait thats fine. Some people are nervous about climbing up on a big guy like Diablo..." He said, glancing to Cay with a small grin. Sam pouted a little, "But Diablo isn't scary....he's a good boy..." She said with another nod, giggling as the stallion nudged her in the back. She looked back to Cay with a small smile, "It really is a lot of fun...and Jeremy will be rigth behind you so you don't fall..." "Well..." Jeremy rubbed the back of his head with another laugh, "Again that's up to Cay. She's bigger than you, darlin', so if she wants to try riding on her own instead of with me that's okay. You're still waaaaayyyy to tiny..." He teased the little girl, poking her in the side which caused her to giggle and hide by Cay. Jeremy knew Caelynne really wanted to try, and he'd honestly feel better being up on the horse with her for the first few rounds so she was able to get used to the horse but he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. |

Brynn just laughed and grinned at him as she watched him clench and unclench his hand a few times. "What nerve did you damage?" She asked him curiosuly, seeing the signs. Her daddy he seriously pinched a nerve in his leg once and it would randomly shake and whatnot. He would have to stretch it and whatever else the doctor told him to do. It seemed like a similar case. "I mean, if you don't want to say anything that's fine, I understand. I tend to ask too many questions than I should anyways and people tell me that I need to quit being so curious." She then tacked on. Caelynne laughed quietly as she watched the little girl as she really seemed to open up around Jeremy. He tended to have that effect, didn't he? She was almost the same way around him sometimes. She watched, leaning over to pet Diablo. Diablo wasn't scary, he was just really really big. Looking back to Sam one last time, she spoke up. "You promise it's lots of fun?" She asked, wondering if she was going to regret this and get hurt. She was still pretty nervous to be honest. |

Daniel blinked at the question before chuckling at how blunt she was. He didn't mind the question at all, he seriously just found it amusing. "Nah its fine...I have to go see Liz and Damien later today for some possible things to help it." He rolled up his sleeve and showed her the scar running down his shoulder. Liz had healed him the night they'd arrived and since Damien cleaned him up it wasn't as ragged but it was nowhere near a clean line. "I had a tracking chip in my shoulder from the institute I was stuffed in for three years. I had to dig it out of my shoulder before I broke out. Trust me, it used to look a lot worse..." He mused with a small shrug, "Anyway on my way out I was shot, didn't realize till three days later but yeah, it made it worse than the initial tremor. Its calmed down since the bullet was removed but its still a pain in the ass..." He shrugged as he rolled down his sleeve again. Samantha nodded several times, "It really is! Pwomise! And Jeremy won't let you fall....I pwomise that too!" She added with an extra few nods as Jeremy chuckled lightly. "Come on Cay!! You'll like it a lot..." "Well? The five-year old pressure you into it yet?" He teased her with a slightly sloppy grin. |

Brynn looked over curiously as he rolled up his sleeve and showed her the nasty scar. She made a face as he explained the story, thinking that it really had to hurt. "Wow... they really didn't want to lose you, huh? Does it hinder any of your day to day routines or things that you do? I mean, it obviously makes shooting a little more difficult, but you seem to be okay." Shen odded to his targets. It's not like she MEANT to always ask so many questions. She just wanted to know more about him. That wasn't bad, right? Caelynne laughed quietly at Same before looking up at Jeremy. She brought her eyes to Diablo then back to Jeremy. Biting her lip, she nodded. "I'll try it. But I don't want to fall." She told him as she looked unsuredly at him where he was way up high on the horse. |
