Claire was already sitting at her normal table on the patio of Sandy's. Appropriate name, being right on the beach and all. Her vegan wrap was in front of her, as was a copy of Time Magazine, which she was currently nose deep in. She was wearing her semi-normal work clothes; a white knee-length pencil skirt, an autumn-y burnt orange top with a narrow brown belt, and a pair of flipflops that completely offset the entire outfit....and in some women's opinions, would've ruined it. Her brown hair was down today and her almond eyes were shaped with smoky gray eyeliner, her black framed glasses finishing the look.

She was tapping her half-bitten nails on the table, wondering if he'd show. It was going to be a long hour and a half of waiting.....

Adam shrugged. "There isn't much we can go on. Boot prints are typical and indecisive. We have your statement...we'll do what we can with what we have. If you find anything else to be missing that might help us, call the precinct." He reached into his back pocket, producing a card with only two things on it; the nearest LAPD precinct number and his name; Police Detective III, Adam Jensine.

Damien walked into the place, looking around a bit before taking a waitress over to the side. After a few moments of talking she let out a giggle, pointing Claire out at her table. He flashed her a smile and nod of thanks before heading over, ignoring the gaggle of waitresses now fawning over him. It really was annoying sometimes. He placed a hand on the back of her chair. "seat taken?"

Claire looked up, adjusting her glasses as they had fallen half down her nose. She looked mildly surprised that he had shown. "No, please." She gestured to the seat across from her, offering a friendly smile. "Though from the looks of it I might get chucked out of my seat before anything gets said here today. Are you hungry or anything? It's on me. I have a pretty good relationship with the owner, so I get discounts." She smiled again, sliding a small menu across the table to Damien's seat.

Damien nodded as he sat but shook his head at the offer for food. " I'm good, but thank you." he looked out to the beach before looking back to her. " So care to explain what you meant yesterday about not being an enemy?" he asked, green eyes flashing under his hat but his voice was even and simply curious. He wasn't looking for a fight. He knew what she was. He just wasn't sure how any of it added up.

"Straight to the point, huh? I can't blame you I guess. I don't feel like I deserve half the treatment I get, but...people don't believe in journalism anymore. All we are are cutthroats, liars, and desperate libelists." She sighed and put her chin on her hand. "I said what I meant." She shrugged. "I'm not an enemy of yours."

Glancing around, she deemed they were secluded enough. She looked at his menu and the pages began to flip on their own. His silverware unwraveled itself from the napkin and set itself neatly. "Psychokinesis...or more commonly knowing as telekinesis." She watched him carefully. "I've been able to do it since I was a very small child. My sister, Tara, could do something similar...but she was more of a...mentalist. She had the ability to formulate energy into power and actually hurt someone. She put me into a coma twice when we were growing up." She smiled a little at the memories.

"Well, where I'm from that's about right." he agreed more than anything. He wasn't here for a luncheon, he was here for answers. He nodded as she flipped the pages, explaining herself thereafter. "Tell me something I don't know...like how your step father paid for your state of the art house you live in, you let yourself be used by Adam convincing yourself it's for the job, you chew your nails out of anxiety because even if you think you have everything you want you know something is missing...I can continue darlin' but I don't like to pry too deep." he mused, tapping the side of his head. "Physchic. 3rd generation. Oh and by the way, to answer your earlier question, I always intended on showing up, just not so sure I'd stay."

Kiera sat at one of the outside tables for her lunch, munching on a cookie. She pulled out her phone, sending Aeryn a quick text, hey darling, how's the head? I get off of work in a few hours. You wanna hang? She sighed as she looked out at the street, eyes carefully surveying the area. She didn't need more suits today.

((I am NEVER letting my friends mix my drinks again v.v ))

Aeryn took his card with a grunt, slipping it into her pocket. "Thanks." She muttered as she let them leave. She knew there was probably nothing they could do. she watched them leave, checking out Officer 'Jensine's' ass, just because she could and it was so nice. Shaking her head, she headed back into her apartment and began to clean up.

Several hours later when the apartment was clean, her phone went off. She had a crappy pre-paid phone that only two people had the number to. And only one person would text her. Shaking her head, she checked the text with a smile. Better. Got news to share. House broken into. Meet you at diner and go from there? she sent back before relaxing on her couch. The only piece of furniture she had besides her bed.

Kiera looked down as her phone went off, eyes widening, oh my gracious...is anything missing? And you're ok? Yes, please meet me here. Obviously we have stuff to talk about. She winced a little as she closed her phone, music pounding in her ears but her iPod wasn't on...she looked around, seeing a guy off in the mouth of the alley. Suddenly, the music stopped as he walked away. Keira went to stand but now she felt like a hangover....she shook her head but now her nerves were shot. She only knew one person who could do that kind of crap, and blaring music was the least of what he could do. Only problem? He was supposed to be dead....

((Never, I agree with that.....haha....and look look I has a villain...apparently...))

Claire tilted her head to the side when he told her things there was no way he could know. She smiled a little, "Well, that's both creepy and useful. Interesting though... I probably could have guessed from the way you knew my name yesterday. I try not to think about it though. I haven't had good experiences with others like us." She reached out, taking a drink of her steaming hot green tea. "I'm aware that you're not here because you want to be friends or even generalized acquaintances. So...I suppose I should let you ask your questions. I don't know as much as you might hope for but..." She looked up to him, watching him with a mildly open gaze.
