Ben just chuckled as he shook his head. His chuckles soon turned into laughter at her next statement. "You really think so, do you?" he asked with a grin. "I think you're getting just a tad bit cocky, don't you?" he raised an eyebrow slightly. "You've never seen me run, Belle. And there is the fact that my legs are ten times as long as yours." he teased her.

Caelynne nodded at Jeremy, looking up as she heard Mira's voice. She didn't come with good news though. Poor Lizbeth. She looked back down at her lap as she stayed silent through it all, now starting to pick at the tiny hole in her jeans that was slowly becoming a little bigger the longer she picked.

Ren watched Lizbeth go, feeling bad for the girl as he finished slicing up the bread for everybody. Only time would make her feel better. Once those other friends of hers got here tonight, things would cheer up hopefully.

At this time, Damien also walked into the kitchen, heading straight for Mira. He handed her a slip of paper with the measurements. "There's that. And I gotta head back down. I've already heard, so I'm kicking Carol out for a break if she's not already gone." he explained to her as he walked over to Caelynne. He kissed the top of her head with a smile.

"I see that you've undone all of my hard work." he teased her as she pouted. He chuckled as he waved to Jeremy. "You two have fun and I'll see about seeing you for dinner, Cay." he told his sister as she smiled at him and waved as he left to head back downstairs. As he left the room, she sighed as she went back to picking at her jeans.

Keira just laughed, "On that note you've never seen me run either, Vegas..." she told him with a smirk, "and I'm not cocky, I'm confident. Long legs don't mean speed..." she told him with a nod, a glint in her eyes. She was highly competitive, and she'd was used to racing Damiel and Damien. She was confident in her chances of winning. Very confident.

Mira slipped the paper into her back pocket with a smile before going back to what she was doing. Jeremy chuckled as Damien came over to tease his sister, shaking his head a bit. "Brothers are annoying..." he told her, as if agreeing with something she'd said.

Carol was anything but gone from ops. Instead, she seated in a chair beside Lizbeth, the latter clutching her hand tight as Jarvis called the morgue. A woman answered, her voice dry and bored. "LA county corioners office. How may I direct your call?"

Liz took a breath, comforted as Carol have her hand a gentle squeeze. "Hello. You called me earlier about my brother?" she said, her voice surprisingly strong.

Ben just laughed at her, finding her competitive nature very appealing. "There's a very thin line between cocky and confident, Belle. And I'm pretty sure that you're walking on it." he teased her. "On that note, what kind of race/run is this going to be? Short or long distance?" he asked her curiously. He could hold his own in long distance, but he was more obviously a sprinter.

Caelynne nodded with a smile. "Stupid." she added with a mutter. She wished she could spend more than just a couple of hours, if that, a day with him. Yesterday had been very rare but nice spending all of that time with him. She had loved it a lot. It had felt so... normal to her. To just sit and watch a movie with him.

Damien came in to see that Lizbeth was making her call here. He caught Carol's eye and tossed his head. Which was was his way of asking if she needed him to disappear for the moment while Liz made her call.

"I'm walking it, not crossing it babe..." she pointed out with a grin, thinking over his question. "I guess we'll have to see the set up when we get there..." she decided with a nod, holding out a chocolate dipped strawberry for him. "Come on, Vegas....you know you want it...."

Jeremy nodded as Mira went over to the chilli, nudging Ren teasingly, "So the chilli is done. Are you done? Are ya done? Well are ya?!" She teased, seemingly recovered from the blow of being the messenger.

Carol shook her head and nodded towards his usual chair. Lizbeth took a breath as the woman came back on the line after giving her information. "Yes, of course Miss Donaldson. We were contacting you in concerns over your brother. I'm very sorry to inform you-"

"Look. The LAPD corinors office called me. Obviously hes dead. I don't know what his final wishes would be. I haven't seen or spoken to my brother in years. Fact is I was led to believe he died three years ago." She told them pointedly, her voice strong even as color drained from her face.

There was a pause on the other end of the line. "I see..." she said slowly, "Well its still an on going investigation...."

"Investigation?"

"Yes ma'am. You're brother was murdered. Should we alert you when the investigation is complete so you can come and retrieve hid bo-"

"No." Lizbeth's voice was flat, very unlike herself. "Do whatever you need to to dispose of it. I want nothing to do with this or him." And with that Jarvis ended the call and Liz sank back in her seat, eyes closed as she bit her lip. Carol simply sat there, running her thumb over her girl's knuckles and redirecting calls that came in her board without flinching.

"I can deal with that I think." Ben said with a grin before chuckling as she held the strawberry out to him. "Nothing is sacred to you, is it?" he asked playfully, but leaned over and ate the strawberry anyways. "Happy?" he asked after swallowing with a grin. He had to admit, it tasted pretty good.

Ren looked over at Mira with a laugh as he moved away from the bread. "I'm done, I'm done!" he declared as he moved to placed the knife in the sink. "I feel pretty proud of myself! I helped make lunch!" he told her with a grin. "Between you girls, I'll learn how to cook in no time." he told Mira with a smile.

Damien nodded as he made his way to his chair silently, and began to work as he kept to himself, not bothering the girls. He didn't say anything until Jarvis dropped the call and Liz was no longer on the phone.

"Why do you two take a break? I got it down here, and lunch should be ready by now." he told them as he flicked his gaze in their direction briefly before back to the computer screen.

Keira grinned as he ate the strawberry, "Yes I am very happy! I shall fully corrupt you yet, Vegas..." she told him with a nod, leaning over and giving him a quick kiss before leaning back in her chair. She checked the time on her phone briefly. They still had some time before going to meet Hillary.

Mira laughed as she placed the bread in a bowl and set it on the table. "We will make sure you do!" She assured him with a grin, looking over to the pair in the corner. " You guys seriously gonna eat there?"

Jeremy nodded, "Yep! Don't be jealous mimi." he winked before looking over to Cay, "Want me to grab food for ya?" he asked her with a grin, obviously not minding either way the coin fell.

Carol didn't aknowledge Damiens suggestion, she instead spoke to Lizbeth. "You alright, Lizzy?" she asked her. It was like she had to block the fact Damien was in the room. Outward emotions were never a good thing for her. It only caused pain.

Liz nodded numbly to Damiens suggestion as she pushed up out of the chair, hand still clamped around Carols. Carol went to stand but Liz shook her head with a small smile, "I just need some air...finish what you need to here and I'll see you upstairs in a bit." she promised her, still looking quite pale.

Carol wanted to growl but refrained. Barely. "Lizbeth I..."

Liz cut her off with a kiss, pulling back slightly with a smile. " I will be fine. If you don't get that report to HQ, Harvey will have your head..." she reminded her simpy.

"Harvey can kiss my fucking ass, Liz..." Carol told her bluntly but sighed a bit, seeing the stubborn look in her eyes. "Fine....I'll be up in a few."

Liz gave a weak smile and stole one more kiss before heading out of ops. Carol rolled her eyes and looked back to the ten page report she'd been working on. Liz was right, it needed to be done soon and it was something Damien couldn't do. She just let out a sigh and continued working on it, trying not to lose her temper.

Ben chuckled as he smiled when she gave him a kiss. "I have a feeling that being around you is a bad idea." He teased her. "But I just can't seem to help myself. What does this mean?" he asked her with a grin. He watched her check her watch, and tilted his head curiously. "How much more time do we have?" he asked her.

"You guys are amazing." Ren told Mira with a grin as he waited for her to set things up before serving himself up some lunch. He made his way over to the table and sat down, a smile on his face as he waited for the food to cool down.

Caelynne ducked her head before shaking it. "I got it." she mumbled to Jeremy as she stood up and took the long way to the food to put as much space between her and Ren as possible. She quietly gathered a small bowl of chili and a piece of bread before making her way back to the spot she was sitting in before.

Damien just barely heard the others after Carol turned down his idea. He didn't want to get inovlved. It wasn't his drama. It would be rude for him to get involved.

Keira laughed, setting her phone on the table with a shrug. "You're stuck with me, boyo...." she grinned, "and we've got about an hour before we gotta leave." she admitted with a small pout. She was excited to see everyone, of course, but she liked being "normal" for a bit.

Damien ran his fingers lightly across Aeryn's shoulder blades as he brushed her hair to the side. He leaned over and kissed from her shoulder to her ear gently. "I think that was much better than chocolate...." he murmured, his voice scratchy and twangy.

Jeremy smiled and got his own meal as well, plopping down back beside Caelynne. He smiled happily as he ate, "Delicious as usual..." he sighed contently, glancing to his corner buddy with a grin.

Mira laughed and plopped down beside Ren. She suddenly found herself starving, having had skipped breakfast that morning. She nodded in agreement to Jeremy's sentiment. "Absolutely!! Liz's chili is the best after a long morning..."

"Damn." Ben joked as he smiled at her. When she told him that they had an hour left, he nodded, chuckling as he saw her pout. "Don't want to leave yet?" He asked her as he took her hand in his. He had to admit that he loved this time with her. It was just so... normal. It was amazing.

Aeryn was half laying on Damien on her stomach, her eyes closed contently. There was a smile on her face as she let out a lazy chuckle. "Mmm...." she agreed with him in a throaty voice. Crossing her arms, she propped herself up slightly as she peppered his chest with light kisses. "I can't even argue that." She admitted, sounding amused as she looked up at him with hazy eyes.

Caelynne smiled as she nodded and continued to eat with small bites. That was one thing she didn't like. The heat took away her appetite. She didn't eat as much as she usually did. So her helping was pretty small compared to everyone elses.

"It's freaking amazing. I don't know how I lived on other food." Ren agreed with a happy sigh, finding that he very much loved Southern cooking. "I guess that's why there's actual cookbooks for Southern cooking then, huh?" He asked, sounding amused.

Keira smiled as he took her hand, lacing theirs fingers as she spoke. "No....I mean I'm excited to see everyone at the re..union..." she caught herself as the number of people in the dining hall hit her. "But I like just having some normal moments." She told him with a shrug.

Damien chuckled deeply, kissing her lips tenderly. "I'll take that as a compliment....' he grinned. He brushed his thumb over her cheek with a happy sigh. He was just so...happy. He knew things were going to change but he was hell bound and determined to make moments like this a priority.

Mira laughed, "Yep! There's no better comfort food than southern cooking!" She grinned before she continued eating.

Jeremy grinned before looking to Caelynne, "Want something to drink, darlin'?" He asked, tilting hia head to the side a bit.
