Aeryn stayed quiet as she listened to her friend, letting her talk through it. She caught the glassy look in her eyes and it made her frown. "That's all I want you to do. Is to think it through and be sure. And..." she sighed. "And if you are positive about this whole Ben thing? Then I'll back off. I'm not saying I'll take it easy on the kid. Or I'll accept him. I'll just back off because that's who you picked. And you are sure that he's it for you." She told her friend quietly. She wanted to be mean and tell her friend that at least she had so many people. That there was so many that loved her, but she kept her mouth shut.

Ren raised an eyebrow as he watched her before chuckling. "I'm a little scared to ask to be honest." He teased her. About the food dye and the new liquid that she offered up. "But as long as this works, I'm happy." He told her with a shrug. "So... how do you cook an egg?" He asked with a grin.

Keira nodded, taking a moment to collect herself before looking back to Aeryn. "I...I mean...I think I'm sure? It's just the conditions we met under were anything but ideal...I have to keep thinking everything is okay. Replay what he said to me. No one has broken my walls that quickly before and I don't know how or why but he's safe. That's what I need right now. A distraction. When you left I couldnt talk to Damien and Daniel was finally truly asleep...Ben is who stayed and wanted to help despite I was a royal mess and a epic bitch..." she took a shaky breath. "Im nearly completely certain I can trust him with my heart...I'm just not sure I can be trusted with his."

Lizbeth laughed, pulling the eggs and milk out of the fridge. "lucky for you the girls love scrambled eggs. Easiest way to make them." she assured him pausing as she looked around. "Damn....where did Mira put the pan??"

Aeryn waited as she listened to her friend, truly listened to her. To be honest? She wish she would choose a different guy. But... she had a sinking feeling that Ben would be sticking around for a long time if this conversation had anything to say about it. And despite her earlie words, she didn't think Ben would leave her friend. "Not be trusted with his? Babe, what does that mean? I don't know why you would think that." she spoke up softly to her frriend. "If anything, I still don't think he should be trusted with yours. If he gives his heart to you, then I can say that it will never be in better hands."

"I... have no idea. So what can I do to help? And how do you scramble eggs?" Ren asked, eager to learn and help out since it was sort of his idea.

((Why do I get the feeling Ren won't approve either...? lmao))

Keira took a moment to think over her answer, “I don't know....I mean...I would never intentionally break his heart but with everything that is going to be going on at base and,” She cringed a little, glancing over to her friend, “you know how I can be. Especially around guys. He's already given me his heart...and I've given him mine. I just can't shake the feeling that our relationship is shaky at the core...” She shook her head, looking back to Aeryn then. “I know you don't like him, and I know Damien isn't exactly thrilled...but I don't understand why...” she admitted, hoping some insight into their thoughts would help her more understand her own sets of doubts.

As Ren spoke, Liz finally found two different pans; one for her, one for him. She figured even if his came out bad, they'd still have another batch for lunch this way. Then she brought out four bowls and handed him two of them. “One of the bowls will be your trash bowl. Now set the pan on top of the burner and set it to medium heat.” She instructed him, already having done so on her own and walking back over to the fridge to grab the butter out. “While your waiting, I want you to crack four eggs into one of the bowls. Make sure no eggshells get in there...”

((Hmm... *looks to Ren* I don't know! lol I think it depends on what he sees of Keira with both his eyes, and his mind. He's my off kilter one. I never know what he's going to think! lol ))

Aeryn stayed quiet as she frowned. Reaching over, she took her friends hands in hers. "Keira." she sighed. She could tell just how much her friend loved this random kid who came out of nowhere. "You know the main reason that I don't like him is how vulnerable he makes you? How easy it is for him to affect you? It scares me. But.... if he's who you choose..." she trailed off as she looked into her friends eyes. "I can't promise to being nice. But I'll accept him. If he truly makes you happy. I love you Key. You're my family. I just want you to be happy. And everything to be as perfect as possible for you. You deserve nothing but the best. Is he who I would have chosen for you? Hell no. But he is who YOU have chosen. It's your choice. At least he isn't abusive or rude."

Ren took the dishes from her as well as the eggs. He did as she instructed, placing the pan on the stove top. Taking the eggs, he began to crack them slowly and placed them into one of the bowls while the egg shells went into the other one.

Once they were all cracked, he grinned. "Ah-ha! I did it!" he declared as he looked proudly over at Lizbeth.

((Hahahah well maybe if we think positive so will he! lmao))

Keira listened to her friend carefully, nodding every now and again. She let her friend's words sink in, giving her hands a gentle squeeze as she spoke up. “He really does make me happy, Snow....it just hasn't been easy long enough for anyone else to really see it. If it starts heading down hill too often I know when enough is enough. I promise you. It may not make sense to others but it makes sense to us...” She told her, the bathroom slowly filling with steam as they spoke. “I love you too. And I'm so happy you found something special with Damien, I really am. As I am your family you're mine. Ben and I may not mesh as well but...we're a work in progress. I can't explain how or why we fell as hard and fast as we did, Snow, but as of this moment I don't regret it...”

Liz laughed as she set up her own bowl of eggs, handing him a fork. “Nice, maybe we'll make a chef out of you yet....” She grinned, adding a bit of milk to her eggs. She passed the milk to him, “Add a little bit of milk to your eggs and mix it with the fork. Make sure to break the yolks and don't add too much milk or it will get runny.” She made a face before showing him what she meant with her own bowl.

((Lol I hope so! haha ))

Aeryn looked at her friend as she gave her one last nod. Leaning in, she hugged her tightly. "Then if that's what you think, I promise not to bite his head off and try and give him a chance." she told her. Pulling back, she gave a tiny smile. "You know... I never would have agreed with you before. About finding somebody. I was content being alone. But... I like it. Being with Damien. I'm sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop, however. It feels too good to be true." she admitted honestly. She had never had anything good before. That she was allowed to keep. She didn't have that kind of luck. Everything she loved was always taken away from her, so she was just waiting fearfully. Waiting for that other shoe and for what she had with Damien to disappear. It was why she held onto him so tightly and was so possessive.

Ren chuckled as he took the fork and milk and did as she intructed, his brows furrowing in concentration as he mixed the little bit of milk into his eggs that he was currently scrambling. Pulling back, he studied it critically, not sure if they looked good or not. "What next?" he asked as he looked over at Lizbeth.

Keira was a bit surprised by the hug but she didn’t let it show. Instead she just hugged her best friend back, giving a small laugh at her words, shook her head a bit. “Damien isn't one for games. He picked you and he ain't lettin' go, darlin'...” She assured her best friend, seeming a little more like herself. “Trust me...he's wrapped around your finger, Snow. There is no other shoe...now...scootch! I would like a shower and if desire one as well before we have to go you will scootch...” she added, her tiny smile finally reaching her eyes. She wasn't going to let them get to her. They were the first of a few that probably wouldn't approve...she had to learn how to let it roll off. Say anything against her? You wouldn’t see her flinch. Against someone she loved? Hit the rigth button and you'd be flat on your back before you could finish.

Liz smiled a little, holding out a palm full of salt. “Take a pinch of salt and add it in.” She instructed him, and once he had dumped the extra in the sink and picked up the small container of juiced spinach. (Yes, this is possible...lmao) “Only put in little amounts at a time, just enough to turn it green....” She said simply, watching him carefully. It was rare to have a guy aside from Jeremy in the kitchen, but it was nice to have a break from the demon spawn that were the young boys.

Aeryn shot her friend a smile as she stood up. Chuckling quietly, she headed for the door. "I'm glad we had a chance to talk it out instead of duking it out." she admitted to Keira, knowing that this conversation they just had would probably help them with the many problems that were sure to come when they reached the resistance. Exiting the bathroom, she plopped back down on the bed as she waited patiently for Keira to shower, and chatted up Sydney for a bit.

Ren took the pinch of salt, mixing it in before taking the small container of juiced spinach. There was where it could turn disasterous. "Okay so... like this..." he said as he concentrated on adding small amounts of the juiced spinach to the eggs as they yellow liquid started to turn green. Once he was sure that they were a nice shade of green, he handed the small container back to Lizbeth with a grin. "Okay! This isn't so bad! I figured it'd be a lot harder." he admitted.

((That sort of scares me! lol *wonders if her own mother has ever done that to her* ))

Keira smiled as she stood as well, giving her friend a nod before pausing and sticking her head out the door, her grandmother's pendant in her hand. "Snow, can you hold onto this for me please???" She asked with a puppy dog pout. She didn't want to risk losing it in the bathroom or accidentally knocking it into the sink.

Liz smiled as he added the spinach, adding some to her own batch as well as he spoke. She laughed a little, melting butter in the bottom of her pan and sticking some in his as well as she spoke. "Boys are always so scared of the kitchen. Y'all are rediculous...." She mused, tilting her pan so the small tab of butter traced the bottom of her dish and motioned for him to follow her.

((Hahaha my nephew used to refuse to eat veggies, still does at 13, so my sister is constantly finding ways to sneak veggies into his food. I know you can juice pretty much anything from being the guinea pig of my bf's sister.))
